torah613 i guess it depends if you are reaching your high 20s and now getting many dates i assume it would be reasonable to lower one’s standards

what i mean is we have to help the state survive while obviously praying for geula and an actual frum state but this secular government is much better than many other options and one can be haredi and attend yeshiva with no problem and the army? well now they are instituting haredi brigades and if some one is capable of learning all day he is allowed to do so (and he should).

for the people discussing the age there is a story were Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman was playing with a little girl he was told the little girl was 4 years old and he put her down. meaning that if a girl is four its already assur to touch her makin it obvious then that 16 is also assur

i view the state as a non jewish state such as the united states but this state is located in E”Y and it’s the first time in centuries that we have real (don’t tell me true Scotsman we all know that economic sanctions by the ottomans or killings by the crusaders don’t count as freedom) freedom of worship which is why i think we have to defend this state. don’t tell me how it is wrong to live in Israel because its too secular while you live in new york…

i think that whoever wanted to use drugs for “recreational” purposes was still getting them and if it is legal maybe some violence can be avoided. as for narcotics, i am never against doctors having more resources.

WIY i am not foolish i have proof that kids can control themselves

i am a teenager and i decided for myself to do tshuva and become shomer negiah

i know that not all kids are like that but i also know that when i prohibit male an females to publicly hang out in a clean way then they will do this in private which is already assur no matter what they do in this privacy

weather or not the malach a mavet is necessary i don’t know, but i do know you can’t actually kill a person. ill try to explain what i mean but if you don’t understand there is a great podcast called the shmooz he discuses it.

you can’t even lift your hand without H’ allowing you. this is the whole reason why ican do tshuva from bein adam la chavero since anything i do is with the help of H’ he wouldn’t let someone get something bad to happen to them if they didn’t deserve it/ wasn’t best for them. so i am but a messenger (message ilustrated in megilat ester when Mordechai tells Esther that if she doesn’t rise up to the task someone else will) not why is it then a sin if i am carrying out the will oh H’? it is my intention, i wanted to cause harm and in the case of the city of refuge it is i am not careful/ conscious enough about those around me. for this reason when one changes his mind in complete tshuva the sin is erased since the physical harm doesn’t come from you.

I agree with the state of israel

although i wish that they didn’t accept homosexuality like they do and i wished many things would change we still can’t have a real beis din were we can force other jews to keep the torah. we can try kiruv but no one can have a solution other than that. its the first time since the begging of the exile that we can really have the freedom to worship and set up frum communities.

sure it is true many other countries allow us to have freedom of worship (like the USA) but do this countries also allow homosexuality and abortion? most of them do. and according to the rambam only mitzvot done in E”Y count, so you tell me if it is the same to be in the states or if it’s not a good thing to have the state of israel.

obviously we still need geula and israel has its flaws but is still the best place for a jew to be.

girls can go out no problem with that if you want to be very frum and say they can only hang out separated then say that but they can go out. i believe girls and boys can hang out together as long as their is no contact

i understand, my comment was more of a reply to someone who said something that sounded like someone who wants to convert should convert and then learn i was just saying that it is an important decision that need consideration

going back to the OP since the conversation now has nothing to do with that.

i read at some point someone mentioned that you should rush to convert so that you get zchar for your learning instead of learning and then convert. although i am probably one of the least knowledgeable people in this website i disagree with that. i think that weather or not you get more zchar that is a different discussion but you should really try to learn and make sure this is something you want to do because once you are jewish there is no coming back. as a gentile you can keep the noachide laws and be ok but as a jew you have to keep all commandments that aply

uneeq i did read it. i just don’t see a problem when you go to a place where there are people doing wrong things as long as you are not with them. for example my community bearly has any frum people does that mean i can’t live there? of coarse not as long as i am not like them.

i agree with zahavasdad except they should put some learning and some cuesed just in an informal sort of way. for example to have a rabbi in the gym and in between all the playing have a little shiur and maybe charge maybe like 25 cents more for the pizza each eats and give that to tzdaka

i cannot believe you guys call your selves ben torah and speak about women in this way. i understand that attraction is important but is for sure not even close to the most important factor.

AZ your comment seems convincing enough but what solution do you suggest maybe encourage men to marry earlier?
