    Dear Som,
So question is, is there zero racism at play in the work force across the country? Or, is there racists tendencies across the nation that keep enormous amount of minorities unemployed?

The answer is, Absolutely not to both. Which answer is news to you? And, what gave you that impression?

    Dear Ben,
You are making a very strong argument fort immigration. Continue with open immigration, and the need and size of the welfare state would be greatly diminished. I agree.

The immigration debate starts before the modern liberal entered american politics. Also, immigration was never seen as a partisan issue. Closing the borders coincided with the darkest chapters of US history. Where do you think it it leading us now?

    Dear Milhouse,
If someone attacks me for no reason, and the only way I could save myself is with fatal force, I would term that murder. The correct term is killing. Here is why I use them interchangeably.

The term applies to animals, so I term it murder based on the act. But from a purely legal perspective, you appear to be correct. Murder has to be premeditated. That is only relevant when the Judge and Jury are deliberating in Court. The question to bring charges is a moral not a legal one. Morally, every intentional killing has to be considered as a possible murder. To do otherwise is to cheapen the value of life. [I know this is not abortion or end of life, so who cares if one person dies or lives.]

How many times have you been with someone who overdosed on fentanyl? You sound very sure of it. Maybe you are an EMT and specialize in Narcan delivery.

Nice list you put together. Maybe a percent of a percent of all police killings this decade.

    Dear Chash,
To think someone died of other causes while they were in a chokehold (while possible) is entirely unreasonable.

I have been with people dying from cancer and organ failure. No comparison to a violent death. I have friends that had nearly fatal drug overdoses. He should have had symptoms before he was arrested.

When there is a fatal DUI, is it reasonable to suggest the death was over consumption of alcohol?

    Dear One,
Some countries have open immigration. The US had until 1882. Why would immigration (legal, illegal, child, asylum seeker, or UFO) be a problem?

    Dear Chash,

I pointed out on a different thread that George Floyd was claustrophobic already in the car.

I was replying to a poster that typed, “the world would have realized that George Floyd was not murdered.”

Tell me, do you think he would have died without the cop’s knee on his neck?

This is the present. It is happening as we type. I wonder why you have such a hard time with this point. Trump’s campaigns leaned heavily on streamlining an obese government.

    Dear Som,
The question of institutional racism, would only pertain to certain institutions. Nobody is accusing the NBA of discrimination. Where did you get the idea that to be part of the discussion it has to be across the country?

    Dear Communism,
MeToo started in 2006. It gained steam as an anti Hollywood movement in 2017. Trump decided it was aimed at him. Very guilty conscience? Comforting to see that he has one.

There is a parallel movement to MeToo that is specific for religious settings. That destroys your theory.

If G-d is such a factor for Republicans why do we vote for Mconnell, Moore, Trump, Nolan, Shortey, Greitens, Hastert, and Jordan? Which Republican is useful as a national role model? [Not even ten years ago, we could have given a long list.] The party of G-d has a pact with the devil.

America is far less atheistic than Europe. And, more religious beliefs are on the rise. How many Democrats can you name as atheists?

    Dear Syag,
This will go down in history as the Trump pandemic. There was no coordinated federal response. This crises does not line up with The President’s strengths. I do not blame his poor handling. But the break down of our national and federal institutions, is a major theme of this administration. And for better or for worse, (At this point, the terrible.) his name will be associated with this pandemic. Much like President Hoover with the Great Depression.

NFAC is the acronym for a black militia that may formed about five years ago. the ‘C’ stands for Clan. The ‘NFA’ does not reveal anything about the group. And is better not spelled out.

    Dear Anonymous,
Trump defended an anti Muslim stance during his 2016 campaign. He will not come out and say he is anti Muslim, that would be dumb and pointless. One thing he is not, is out of touch. By the way, I do not fault him for being anti-Muslim. Almost everyone above seventy is. (Except Muslims. And those who thought hard about it,)

    Dear Anonymous,
The reason is because of an investigation into campaign finance violations. The current probe (state level) involves falsifying business records. I am not sure what you are laughing about. The backstory happened in broad daylight. Hence, Trump’s lawyer’s fifth avenue reference.

The Oaths, Sheriffs, Boogaloos, and 3 percenters, all have their own definition of basic laws that run contrary to The Judicial System. I assume you meant that. [The Boogaloo Bouis’ stated goal is to incite a second civil war, but that is a nitpick.]

This group has no clear ideology, and seems very disciplined and patient. We could only guess at their purpose. But they seem to be able to hold their ground better than all the black militias of the recent past.
