    Dear Doctor,

Which proxy are you referring to?

You are also drinking the kool aid if you think the only funding for Iran was from the nuclear treaty. Iran has managed to keep the cash flowing. ISIS and other terrorists being subdued, has left the Iranian government as the largest receiver of radical dollars.

I think Smerel’s post is the reason that Umann has such a pull on older yeshiva guys. It is difficult to stay positive on Rosh Hashana. Especially if you do not have a crowd. They tell me that in Umann there is a good balance between serious and happy.

    Dear Two,

That is one version. Possible. There is a reverse version. Also possible. Is the truth somewhere in the middle? Possible. Really weird situation. To me, this has a lot of echoes of Ferguson. The story brings up broader questions about the whole city.

The only criteria needed for resisting arrest, is that the officers had to attempt one. This was not immediately confirmed. And at this point, is conflicted. There will end up being to completely different versions. What is unique here, is that there is a survivor, multiple witnesses, and video evidence. We should get some truth eventually.

This all does not address why he was shot after the fact. If we are having a contest as to win can make the boss into heroes, I won that one long ago.

    Dear Syag,

In the video posted to Facebook there is some struggling going on by the passenger side of the car. He walks away from it. It is simple to see. His back is to the guns the whole time they were drawn. Which is clear and obvious from the whole first video.

We could discuss what was the beginning of the story. And come up with all sorts of stories why it is a shame that Blake is not dead. But how do you attempt to dispute a video that the whole nation has seen? Everyone is aghast at the video itself, and asking what is the story. But you find it self evident. You play it every night before bedtime. Or maybe you play the other video that you have hinted to. But never showed me where to find it. Or even discussed it’s contents. Because it does not exist.

PS It was his car. Eyewitnesses said he drove up in it. And told his son to get in. And the investigation referred to it as his car.

    Dear Two,

The police were called for a domestic incident. Their only duty is to settle the incident. There is no obligation on them to walk the beat on a call. None of those reasons automatically require the officers to remain on the scene.

None of the factors you listed are clear cut:

A: According to Raysean White, he was not even resisting. At the time he was shot, the tussle had ended.

B: To arrest him for the warrant, they would have had to identify him first. And then attempt to place him there arrest and read him his rights.

C: There is no solid corroboration that the knife was a factor. I doubt the police ever noticed it.

D: It was his kids in his car with his knife. Why is this a problem? Every father that takes his kids fishing does this.

    Dear Resident,

Why is any of that relevant?

I am starting to get the sense of what the ‘hakoras hatov to Trump’ is all about.

Trump is a New Yorker through and through. He knows little about the U.S. besides the coasts. His idea of politics was who cares about policy let’s win the election and do what we want. When he decide He could not winged switched parties, and called the republicans racists and anti Semites. He was a Democrat but could’nt stand Obama. Now he is a Republican President with no alliance to it’s ideals.

A lot of posters here seem to be in the same ideological black hole. All anti Obama pro Trump talk, with zero commitment to policy. We must be thankful to our President for legitimizing their inability to be real Conservatives.

You say there are at least twelve people denying the story. Please list five.

The article alleges multiple incidents. One is being disputed. And another is being questioned. The one in France was not confirmed by FOX.

    Dear Resident,

Maybe you do not follow fox news. Jennifer Griffin is among tiger best investigative reporters. She is confirming that parts of the story is true. The President does talk like this. And he does not understand why anyone would serve or sacrifice. (I am not sure why this is a story. These were obvious perspectives of his for decades.) If he’s saying her sources are impeccable only amounts to that anonymous people are trashing Trump, you are inferring that fox news never does any real reporting. They just rely on people to ask People things, without caring what the real facts are. As much as I dislike fox for monopolizing viewpoints, it is a fact that they solidly back up their sources.

    Dear Common,

The Atlantic is pro top notch journalism. And makes an effort for items that require careful research. That in of itself, is about as anti Trump as any coverage could be. It is not an intellectuals fault, that Trump despises intellectualism. One of the few places to find an intelligent opinion on why to continue to support Trump is The Atlantic.

PS We can talk about Mr. Shapiro. If had a lot of promise. He seems to have run out of enlightening thoughts.

He is wrong about the older Orthodox Jewish Democrats. The republicans were less anti Semitic than the Democrats in the middle of the last century. (At this point in his career, he is wrong about most things. It is all about how many viewers feel the need to feed off his echo chamber.)

    Dear Anonymous,

Thanks for your input. To be clear (again), what Blake did was reckless.

This thread has never been about it’s title – Jacob Blake. It is about the silence from the Kenosha Police Department on the matter. [Interesting note, the chief of police has some weird things to say on a lot of other police topics.] If it is about a restraining order and resisting arrest, why did they not say that from the beginning? Why allow all this speculation?

The reason why I did not assume your version, is because it was reported as three minutes from the time of arrival to the shooting. That seems like too short to just resist arrest. At this point, I am doubtful of most of the reporting anyways. So Maybe the incident was significantly longer.

Also, what escalated the violence? The videos do not show why he had to be shot in the back. Whatever happened, Blake was walking away.

    Dear interjection,

I have read your post over multiple times. A comprehensive response eludes me. There are multiple issues here, and very few people seem to be polarized across all the topics. Different people put the emphasis on different aspects of the same issues. This could lead to more chaos them calm. Let me answer one part at a time.

You asked me about what are the goals of the rioters. I think we understand that rioting is not open dialogue. It is hard to say that if their demands are met, then the riots would cease.

Though some of the goals in these riots are self evident. In Minneapolis, there was a real sense that the DA would not press charges unless he was compelled to. The shots really seemed to be about holding police accountable.

My take has been that the majority of violence across the nation, was due to the shutdown of society. The lower classes are not going to sit in front of a television to watch an endless news cycle about the global health crisis. The fact that so many Americans had nowhere to go, and cities were empty of street traffic, opened up the possibility of a takeover of public property. I think most Americans joined in as something to do. Similar to the crowds that went to see the navy hospital boat enter New York Harbor.

Once we are dealing with a national boredom event, all dialogue and goals are largely irrelevant. Professional looters plied their craft. Anti American actors vented their feelings. Anarchists enjoyed the free ride. Overall, the context does not help political activism because they have to take ownership of all the side shows.

When the mainstream media started hyping the Aubrey case, it alarmed me because it seemed pointless. The murder happened in February. The outrage over the video was enough to bring about several arrests, and a state investigation. There was on need to hype the story, as there was no other headlines available. It just set up a super sensitive background for whatever would happen next. And then George Floyd happened.

My religious values have no basis in the presidency. Even more, they are not relatable to what The Supreme Court rules. The only value my religion describes to the courts, is that it should have a sustainable system of justice. [Nou sure he you know what that is..] I expect the President to uphold his office, whomever that may be. If your religion is dependant on handicapping political history, why not just worship politics itself?
