    Dear Bk,

This has come up a dozen times. Antifa is not political in that there is no aim or goal affiliated with it’s practice/fandom/fortitude/somebody-here-can-come-up-with-a-better-word. Are many of them troublemakers? Sure. There are troublemakers all over the place. Who cares? There are more real concerns than far out groups.

Why is this on the mosdos? Working guys do not smoke or drink? Yeshiva guys do not smoke or drink at home? It is the responsibility of the individual.

    Dear Bk,

Are you okay battling opponents that have no definition?

My take on all this antifa stuff is that some have no answer for the issues of the day. So they invent opponents that are easy to ecologically contest. You can win the battle against ghosts. I would rather lose to humans.

    Dear Syag,

Almost all those that spend ten dollars a day on cigarettes do not need our pennies. (Except for homeless vagrants.)

    Dear Syag,

A yeshivah bochur spends less on cigarettes than on takeout. Working guys are more likely to get cigarettes over the counter.

Because 1920 was during prohibition. But cigarettes were a penny a piece.

This still does not make for a crime. Blake did a terrible job of self preservation. And the police botched the call. And we have no idea why.

    Dear Mentsch,

The idea of the witnesses initiating the death penalty has some meaning to it. Therefore, they have to actually do the act. It happen with their hands would not be enough. I suspect it requires willing and active witnesses. Other than this point, I agree with you. You are saying very good.

    Dear One,

We have been through this a dozen times. Antifa cannot be billed out because there is no such movement or organization. It is a cross between a western form of martial arts and punk rock fandom.

Since this has not been getting across, I’ll create an example. Suppose some Dodgers fans who are trained to use ninja knives, kill a Giant’s fan. Nobody would be asking the city of LA to condemn it. And everyone would understand that the Dodgers are ballplayers, and not street warriors. Same here. Antifa is not a political ideology. Politicians do not know of it, any more than journalists tell them.

Lingering nausea after regaining your health? Ouch! A lot of Americans have gastro illness. Keep an eye on your diet for a possible trigger.

    Dear Charlie,

Your post seems to be about legislative failures. (The President is not capable of wrapping his head around a global crisis. He never knew. He never can know. He could only hear about it. Or watch it on TV. Why blame him?)

This could be blamed on Trump’s overstepping his bounds and undermining Congress. Except that you should admit, that he is expanding on Obama’s model. Maybe Biden could turn back the block a bit.

You confused harsh sentences for violent crimes, with mass incarceration for domestic regulations.

    Then you switched the discussion.

Then you completely misconstrued the two different drug problems.

And all the counterpoints aimed at your position are currently unanswered.

I’m just curios if you mean to say that a pharmaceutical company that mislead the public about opioids should not be held accountable.

    Dear Daas,

I think there is a difference. The author intended to write what he wrote. He wants to be portrayed as taking the position the OP ascribed to him. The same may not be true about those he wrote about. I can not say for sure. I have up on the book before he started the fun parts.

    Dear Bored,

CNN is focused on what people say, and the appearance of the matter. In other words, they are aiming at the shallow viewer. The main issues are ignored. This sells better to the left. Because the ignorant conservative simply does not care who offended whom. According to surveys, CNN has a broad viewers because of the gossip.

PS A good example is the Russian interference story. It is a real story. Just not a partisan one.

The term, ‘new world order’ is from the elder Bush’s speech at the U.N. It refers to emerging economies in the undeveloped world. There are atrocious power grabs, all over the globe all the time. Hong Kong was losing their independence before corona. What did you say about it then?

Shame on those who do not bend to nature, but bend to the government.

    Dear Ben,

I agree a million percent. There will always be a lot of mistakes dealing with a pandemic. If we would have had a leader who is able to connect (Reagan.) with the whole nation, people would have maintained trust in the experts. Masks, hand washing, etc.

    Dear Ben,

You are right, I am mistaken. That should be amended to that he never set up federal testing. That would have been a better use for the stimulus money. There issues, are about the dysfunction in Washington DC. My point is, if Trump gets credit for what was done right, if also gets the blame for what went wrong. My they is that he deserves neither.

Trump distanced himself from the pandemic for the most part. Cuomo eventually met it head on. I do not agree with Charlie. Nobody ever expected clear policy from Trump. The hope was that he would get stuff done. Maybe he still could. This year was all about impeachment, pandemic, protests, riots, and re-election.

    Dear Ben,

I looked into it a bit. The denials are of two sorts. The cemetery in France. And those whose job it was to cover for the President. Most of the quotes seem accurate.

Does the theme of the story surprise you? Trump has been derogatory about NATO, the American Intelligence community, and the current wars. I have read similar articles before this year. What is your point?

    Dear Besalel,

I suspect Israel is not afraid of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Tiger equation of internal benchmarks is laughingly incompetent. Israel has brazenly derailed their nuclear program several times. Mid East supremacy is very much about economics. Like Begin and sending F-16s to Saudi Arabia.

    Dear Health,

The verification was that they found a knife. And Blake told investigators in the hospital that he had had one. The investigation never said that the knife was part of the incident. And the Kenosha Police Department did not put out a statement.

It has been reported that Raysean White said he heard them say “drop the knife”. I watched four interviews of him. If never mentions the knife. And the video was shot from across the street. The police are not audible.

    Dear Ben,

Trump never assumed the role of leader of the free world in the fight against the pandemic. Not his fault. This kind of leadership is not his thing. Iu is his own loss. Had he risen to the occasion, he would be bruising to re-election.

If Trump gets credit for the FDA developing it’s own test, than he should be blamed for that test being a failure. As well as not allowing States to test. Either way, Trump later refused to help the States manage testing.

It gets even worse. Eventually Trump started believing his own kids about the pandemic. He has been talking about his own accomplishments while he has done little outside of creating a time. And has trashed countries and States that have done the better job. When all is said and done, Trump had a miserable year.
