IF someone had to devise a plan to get the frummest most erlich people who have never been online in their life to be running and scrambling to get access, I can’t think of a better way then to put a video of “rare footage of the chofetz chaim” on youtube, that would do the trick.
however exciting this video is to see, i believe this is a “Maisah Sutton” (I heard this idea from a much more credible person then myself). i think people are more inspired by learning one minute of his teachings then to watch him walk across their computer or smartphone screen. call me crazy but isn’t it ironic that its a video of the “Chofetz Chaim” a man who is the author of the “shemiras halashon” who was careful about every word that came out of his mouth, HE ends up online!!, a place which is saturated with everything he stands against…. just a thought to think…
In my opinion its the shaddchanim who are so busy “selling girls” that they dont hesitate to lie to your face just so you’ll accept the date and waste Hours of your time… yea.. its those people you should be upset at…

all of Tiffany jewelry or really from any real designer company will be marked/stamped of some kind on the “gold” to know that it is real. Nobody is marking anything on the actual diamond. A certified diamond from tiffany means that “they” examined and evaluated that specific stone to have the standard and quality/color that tiffany advertises. its their haskama so to speak that u pay for.. which in real life didn’t change the item but its a feeling of security & people are willing to pay for that.
Ive Worked in the jewelry business for awhile, I’ve got to know the different styles and price points starting from Costume jewelry, silver, beads and then theres gold & diamond jewelry. Anyone who knows the business can see whether an item is real or fake. theres nothing wrong with costume or silver, its alot cheaper but its a gift and as long as you dont lie and say it gold/diamond theres nothing wrong.
Saying that diamond dealers are selling fake goods by bringing proof from tiffany prices is a very illogical. its like saying Honda is selling fake cars because if you go to buy a Rolls Royce dealer the cars there are 10x the price… diamonds are priced based on a wide range of “color” “quality” and “size”. But they will especially get price bump when their “certified” by a specific company such as Tiffany…
i would just want to know .. Why?

i understand that the Asifa wasn’t about the soldiers but rather about the “state” that is seemingly trying to corrupt & destroy the chareidi lifestyle.
But i feel if were going to resolve the argument, making protests and demonstrations how wrong they are is NOT going to do it. In human relations, CRITICISM is NOT how you solve arguments, in fact, it has the OPPOSITE effect, it just makes people more determined to stick to their guns.
There are MANY techniques to resolve arguments, there are many books in the subject. 1a the many tips to resolve n argument is to find and focus on common ground. it eases your opponents intensity to think more logically because they dont feel like your out to prove them wrong.
the technique works in marriage too. ITS VERY HARD TO DO in a argument but if your able to thank the your spouse SINCERELY for what they do, and then present your side, and come from a place of love instead of criticism. ohhhh it can work wonders !!

i see your previous post now, u make a very good point. it would’ve made a world of difference if there would’ve been some appreciation for the soldiers by the Asifa.
It would’ve been intelligent, classy, respectful and possibly even “calm the storm down” by showing some common ground.

@rabbiofberlin – I’m not sure what infamous articles you are referring to. But i feel that any article, no matter the agenda its trying to push, if its sole purpose is to instill hatred it should be disregarded.
For example if a couple is arguing and if one of them says something hurtful out of their uncontrolled emotion, do u think it makes sense to create a whole new argument off the hurtful statement?
personally i think it would be better to disregard it and stick to the issues at hand.
and if you believe that “they” have no heart and no interest in resolving the issue, then all the more so it should be ignored.

From the sounds of it, i feel like ur scared because this isn’t just about cleaning help.

lets look at the difference between working and learning
work – ur held accountable for ur work performance, and u have the responsibility of providing for ur family which in effect keeps you working hard and putting all your energy into it.
Learning – ur on your own accord, and if ur learning performance is not what it shud be, no1 (except hashem) is going to hold u accountable. and since other people provide for you, theres no responsibility so it becomes a very easy choice for people,..
