Bein hasdorim, I’m not really an expert on Muslim marriages. I was just repeating what a Muslim tour guide told us about their marriages.
But really, does it really make a difference to us how they marry?

Bein hasdorim, actually the only Muslims that do practice polygamy are very, very wealthy sheiks. Most people do not want to have multiple wives because the wives don’t usually work and the men have to support them and all of their kids.

Rivkib I’m glad you were able to shelter your children until they were 16-17. However the reality is that we live in galut, its the price that we pay living amongst goyim. My 3 year old knows that he cannot behave the same way as the cleaning ladies, he knows that on shabbat he can’t turn on the light only the goy can. We cannot pretend that the goyim world does not exist, otherwise the day that they enter that world(trust me one day they will have to leave the bubble) can be a very big shock to them.
I hope no one is encouraging people to have less kids to alleviate the shidduch crisis in 20 years. Numbers might not lie but using a scare tactic isn’t going to solve any problems.
A person has to do what is necessary, its not really anybodys place for anyone to tell women whether or not they should work. Personally, I worked in a goyim corporation B”H that I had that job, even though in Mexico its almost unheard of for a religious girl to work anywhere other than schools.I tried not to tell people about my job because they would get shocked. While I don’t work now, it bothers me if people tell me comments such as why don’t I work. Its a decision between a husband and a wife. Period!

The people aren’t willing to do such low paying jobs simply because they receive more benefits without working. The illegals only receive a limited amount of benefits so they are forced to work.

Yswo, I remember that story that mazca said about the little girl, it was terrible.
I also know someone else whose father had a gun for intruders when he was little. One night the little boy got out of his bed with his cousins to play in middle of the night. The father heard noise and went downstairs with the gun looking for the intruders, when the little kids heard the father coming down they hid very well because they were scared he would shoot them by mistake, B”H the father did not see them and went back to sleep. Imagine how the father would have felt for the rest of his life if he wouldve done something to his son and nephews….

I agree with Mazal and Feif here. A bais yaakov shool and memorization of navi does not necesarilly give you right skills for raising a true torah home. A woman should have the right hashkafah and the right ideas in her mind. She should know in what direction she wants her family to grow in.
SJS I think you should just try to make it something to look forward to. Buy him a special treat for Shabbat (if you go somewhere for Shabbat buy something for all the kids and let him give it out) Also all the Uncle Moishys are very good and the kids love them!

My son has excema. I took him to the best dermotalogist in mexico. He told me never to use polyester, no hot baths, only showers that aren’t so hot, not to run him dry, only pat him dry with the towel. He then sent me elidel and aderma exomega every day, twice a day.

Best ima the problem is that they finish learning at around 9:30 and the events don’t begin before 10:30. But I really shouldn’t complain, we should always be in simchot!!
