i have to agree with bein_hasdorim on this one. he had a really good point!
happy face also had a good point. girls tend to be very loyal to their friends. most girls would think at least ten thousand times before considering to date her best friend’s ex. i know that i probably wouldn’t – though your situation sounds a little different – so tred carefully.
good luck!

mustangriderMemberi’m a maidEN! Not a maid!
do not expect me to wade

mustangriderMemberHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Ad meah veesrim! May Hashem grant you all of your birthday wishes! Btw this party is amazing! How’d u manage it? lol!
mustangriderMemberSarahb how’d u manage to convince the whole camp??? That’s really cool!
mustangriderMemberi was at the park last weak and i saw this frum family making a birthday party. anyway there were lots of kids in the park and the hosts gladly included them in the celebrations. the mother had extra party bags and gave them out to all the “party crashers”. those kids even joined in with the Happy Birthday, and each one recieved a piece of cake. now the hosts could have told those kids to get lost, that this party was not for them but they didn’t. instead they chose to make a kiddush Hashem.
mustangriderMemberwhats the rotary method???
you really had to roll down the car windows manually??? how did that work???
mustangriderMembernot my experience but my friend told me about it. she was in camp and they landed a helicopter in the baseball field – not sure on the details of exactly how that broke out color war but it still sounds cool!
mustangriderMemberamazing – my one and only piece of advice is:
REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN! even when your studying for a crazy midterm or working on an impossible report. my favorite memories were – surprisingly – from all those late nites i was ready to rip my hair out! and how is that possible you may ask?! because i made sure to include moments where i just lightened up and laughed with my friends – over the phone or in person. i still remember chemistry because i stayed up for three hours on the phone with one of my best friends studying in different accents! it was a real laugh fest!
mustangriderMemberHaLeiVi – I hope so!
mustangriderMembera title like that just shouts “READ ME!!!!!”
August 18, 2011 12:35 am at 12:35 am in reply to: Teenage girls and older chewing gum on the street #800887mustangriderMemberFirstly I didnt read all the posts so I apologize if I’m repeating anyone’s post.
I dont think chewing gum is a tznius issue – it’s just not refined – and makes the person look like a cow. Also I don’t think ppl chew gum cuz it’s cool – everyone knows it’s not. I think most ppl chew gum cuz they like having fresh breath, or cuz they are on a diet and chewing gum is great for that (it keeps the metabolism working).
People, please don’t think too deaply into things – most people don’t do things cuz they intentionally want to b bad. In fact most people don’t think so much wen they do things. it’s all the onlookers being judgemental.
There are enough complicated things in life – we don’t need to add more.
mustangriderMemberlaugh laugh laugh!
mustangriderMemberi’ve heard it both ways 🙂
i guess no one really knows!
mustangriderMemberminyan gal, hav 10 smiley faces! 🙂
i’ll probably hav a pic of a mustang… (the horse not the car lol! – tho the car is pretty cool too…) or maybe a dolphin…
mustangriderMemberamazing, are you sure you dont mean an extremely boring book? good books can keep me up till 4 am!

mustangriderMembertry thinking of the ocean… i never tried it but its supposed to be really calming. i also read somewhere that you should keep thinking “ein od milvado”
mustangriderMemberbein hasdorim – that was harsh dont ya think?
mustangriderMemberfor mayor i’ll vote for adorable.
but can i be president? please? with a cherry on top?
mustangriderMemberHi Bee!!! I have a very real fear of Bees – please dont hurt me!
mustangriderMembertaboo is always fun!
mustangriderMemberI forgot to remember!
Healthy and delicious meal
mustangriderMemberAmes those are really powerful thoughts.
but… rain isn’t always uncomfortable. for example if you’re fruit picking and you’re all hot and sweaty a little rain is very appreciated! lol!
also rain doesn’t always mean you have to be stuck inside all day – just put on that cute rain coat and those rain boots and splash around a little! c’mon, u know that sounds a little fun!
or if you’re not in the mood to splash – stormy weather gives you a reason for staying curled up on the couch reading a good book without fealing too guilty that you wasted a day.
mustangriderMemberItzik Eshel is one of my favorites! he sings israeli style music and usually his songs are pretty fast! he has a cd that is a compalation of all his fastest songs which would probably be perfect for you! its called the beat collection.
Enjoy! i hope you like it!
mustangriderMemberGood Luck!!! 🙂 🙂
mustangriderMemberso adorable, what ended up happening with your friend? did she go out in the end or not?
mustangriderMemberhello99
“Yalla! Nu!!!”
mustangriderMemberWolf, im not contradicting you- but then why not just ask for the person to stop talking? Why would he need the “nu”?
mustangriderMemberMP, Im sure many would – myself included! but it is a different story all together if the girl wont feel pretty on the date – like if she gets frizzy hair…
mustangriderMemberi wouldn’t worry so much… the guy will probably take her somewhere in doors anyway… but if she is still worried about getting frizzy hair from the house to the car then maybe she can ask the shadchan to reschedule the date for next week? (assuming there is a shadchan involved…)
mustangriderMemberthere was also a live hook-up in brooklyn – sha’are zion.
mustangriderMembersome one just told me that eating foods with salt, like pretzels or pop-corn, are good before a fast beacuse salt helps retain water. anyone hear about this before?
mustangriderMemberbpt, i was wondering the same thing….
mustangriderMemberadorable, i cant agree with you more! its not only the weather that is crazy, its everything thats happening around the world!
btw, where r u? its not raining or windy in NY…
mustangriderMembera doctor once told me to drink coconut water the day before the fast. its supposed to keep u well hydrated and prevent the headaches. i dehydrate VERY easily and i did this before the past few fasts and i felt a big difference! i will warn u though. unflavored coconut water is not the best tasting drink on the planet. try getting the flavored ones – those are pretty good.
mustangriderMembersongs i like to sing
are songs about spring,
or maybe a luluby
about mama buying me a diamond ring!
mustangriderMember“Al ta’am vere’ach ein ma lehitvake’ach!”
mustangriderMemberAmen! Happy Birthday! Ad Me’ah ve’esrim! may Hashem grant all of your birthday wishes!
mustangriderMemberMiddlePath, I am sorry to hear that things didn’t work out… 🙁
However, you should remember that everything happens for a reason. perhaps you were supposed to meet this girl in order that you will be prepared when your TRUE zivug comes along. maybe this was G-d’s way of making you realize that you DO deserve someone amazing! or more importantly that you ARE amazing and that no one should be considered too good for you! your zivug is out there somewhere, she is amazing, and she is waiting for you (and only you) to appear on her doorstep and sweep her off her feet!
mustangriderMemberMiddlePath, i have just read this thread for the first time and i must say i think my heart just broke from reading it. I have only one piece of advice to give you – when you pray make sure to pray that Hashem send the RIGHT girl bekarov, not that THIS girl should be your zivug. if she is indeed your zivug then know that no matter how much turbulance you encounter in your relationship Hashem will make everything work out. but if she is not, remember that Hashem has someone even BETTER set aside for you! but i will stress again – pray to find your TRUE zivug, dont pray that THIS shidduch shold work, because you can pray so hard that Hashem will listen to you and that may not be what is best for you… (this is not my own advice – i am quoting a Rabbi who told this to me a couple of years ago)
I hope you find your happiness soon! good luck!
mustangriderMemberSo, moskidoodle, what did u do today?
Did u eat, sleep or go to pray?
I know how rediculous these questions may seem.
But i’m so bored I’m singing row row row ur boat gently down the stream!
mustangriderMemberI love horses and greatly wish to ride a mustang 🙂
mustangriderMemberShrek, since when is playing sports and exercising “goyish”? many frum yeshivos have a gym where bochurim can blay basket ball bec its good to have them move around a little….
mustangriderMemberi hav been to dutch wonderland though never ben hazmanim so i dont really know what the crowds are like then. the day i went it was an off day (weekday and supposed to rain – but it never did!) there were no lines at all really, and there were quite a few frum families there. as to the dress of the goyim – well it was the same as if u would walk through manhattan (yes u prob will c ppl in tank tops etc..). though there is a small water park area, it is completely separated so if u dont go there then u wont hav a problem. also, the park does not allow ppl to walk around in bathing suits (only in the water area which is only for kids anyway so there really arent many adults in bathing suits in the first place…). over all from my experience i greatly recomend dutch wonderland as a place to go ben hazmanim. the kids LOVED it! and we would deffinitely go again – many times!
mustangriderMemberHa Ha! ZeesKite, looks like no one is listening! however there is some interesting advice here in any case! lol! 🙂
mustangriderMembersomeone refresh my memory – did Dorothy accidentaly kill someone before she came to Oz? i dont remember that part…
