Classic. I can really picture her saying that.

    Let me ask another question:

Since when can you see male patients? You’re not a doctor, you’re not doing anything near pikuach nefesh, so how does a female dental hygenist get to see male patients?

You caask the same question by an GP. When one goes for a physiacl it isnt pikuach nefesh. And one can go to a same sex doctor. I think the answer is its mutar because it isnt derech chibah, IMHO.

41 days non-stop? Where is this segula written?

    Nisht,

Chareidim should be held to higher standards. They have self-proclaimed as above and more holy than everyone else. That is why some chareidim feel the necessity to counter anything they perceive as a slight to their beliefs. They can’t have it both ways. If they make themselves above everyone else, then they betteract that way.

    Coffee,

this inappropriate behavior bothers me also. That being said,It isn’t all hareidim as the secular press would have you believe. There is a faction of nudniks who would be better off in the army as they obviously aren’t learning, They are too busy causing chillul Hashem. Also, there aren’t enough chareidim speakiking out against the idiocy.

I’m pretty sure if he was in Mitzrayim…he was older than 20 after 40 yrs in midbar.

That said, IIRC the Leviiyim did not die in the midbar and went into eretz yisroel. Is it maybe a gemara in bava basra?

Also i remember taht pesel micha was at kriyas hayam.

Utah, You missed my point and joke. Braun is a cheater. Pure and simple. If MLB was serious about steroids they would ban theses players. If players had to deal with a lifetime ban on the first positive test, they would rid the sport of steroids.

There have long been traditionally/halakhically-observant thinkers who have engaged academic approaches in a serious way.

    Like mendelson, ezriel landau, Mapu,etc.

traditionally/halakhically-observant thinkers who have engaged academic approaches in a serious way is the definition of an apikores who doesnt believe in Torah min hashamayim.

For anyone to deny that there are 4 distinct narrative voices indicates that that individual never studied religion from a critical or academic perspective. I long believed that Modern Orthodoxy must not ignore the evidence and claims made by the Academy.

A yiras shamayim does NOT study Torah from a critical or academic perspative. We study to learn to fulfill the mitzva of TT and instruction of how to do mitzvos.. This bible critique is a product of the haskala. RD im afraid you have gotten a hold of some rotten ideas of what Torah is.

To be an apikores one has to know what he denies. How can H’ hold a Yid responsible if he has no clue about Hashem. Avraham Avinu was oich a koferoriginally according to R’ Chaim Brisker. He was modeh to a”z. Just like A”A came around to the truth so all Yidden who we call reform and conser should come around. But we have to help them or we cant fault them because the fault is really ours.

    Toi,

The Chazon ish is YD Siman 2 sif 16 concerning Ts”n

you are calling Yidden kofrim. How can one be kofer Hashem, when they have no idea about Hashem. Do you have any idea how many Yiden are taken in by Reform/Conservs because they have no Jewish education and don’t know what real yiddishkeit is. Ref/Cons is way more convenient just because they are all over. They are also more welcoming than most ortho shuls. This is the musser we need to take during these days.

rd- “Reform, Conservative…” these people are kofrim. they are not a branch/sect of yiddishkeit. they dont practice judaism.

Reform and conservative Jews are not kofrim. The Chazon Ish was clear that they are Tinok shenishbu. They don’t know any better. You are so smug and if everybody isnt as frum as you, they are kofrim and reshaim. They are Jews as much as you are. As the Ramban says they may be shogeg but the way you talk about fellow jews are Mazid. And during the nine tug! Hashem yerachem.

This is hilarious stuff. You Mr Katan, have illogical and unshakable loyalty. Rabanim should leave politics to the politicians and teach Torah misinai and stop getting robots riled up with the zionist bogeyman.

The other group are anti-zionists who feel the zionists unnecessarily started a war that was totally avoidable, that trading statehood for autonomy is the only path to peace, see nothing wrong with becoming friends with Muslims, do not see the Arabs as a threat

Complete and utter drivel. Go to Pakistan dressed like a Chareidi. Tell them you are anti -zionist and want to be friends. Let’s see how long you keep your head. The biggest falacy is that “they hate zionists, not Jews.” Hogwash. Dont be naive. These pere adam hate Jews…ALL JEWS period. They dont want to trade statehood. Y’all are too emotional about this issue. Toeivas will be toeivas no matter what the supreme court says. The real question is whether the state should recognize a “marriage” and give them all the rights of a married couple. I of course am against this because I believe homosexuals can’t have marriage. But this has NOTHING to do with permitting the toeivah act.

I presume you were not aware that the Chzaon Ish held that a person who keeps Torah and mitzvos, but celebrates Israel’s Yom HaAtzmaut, is an apikores

Hakatan, Does this apikorsus status apply to the Ponevezh Yeshiva? They proudly fly the Israeli Zionist flag every Y”H.

While we are at it why don’t you admit the Chazon Ish never said such a thing. And how dare you make up quotes by gedolim just to further your misguided agenda! Edited
