more_2MemberOf course having an idea to a certain extent. But you can’t plan your life on one foot. These plans pple make prior to marriage never work.
more_2MemberWhy. Should a girl or guy have a plan? What’s wrong with figuring things out together???
more_2MemberPopa permission granted go right ahead
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me;)
more_2MemberWhenever he feels he’s ready to live with his wife for the rest of his life. Some pple start college after marriage so not to worry about that aspect… Although you should most definitely be emotionally ready for it. Hope all goes well.
Hatzlacha.

Who? The op?
more_2MemberWhat’s RBS?
Fareast-
Ok they were never accepted by the community, but by becoming different is not going to change anything inside, they will never be accepted anywhere that way. They will be odd in both places. Itsnot insensitive because I care about them. Instead of pushing the subject under the carpet I am bringing it to the surface. How can we solve this crisis???
I think people should choose communities where there children will flourish and not be not accepted. Every person can be accepted if they choose the right place for themselves. This often occurs with BTs they stick with the ultra yeshivish community only to find years later that their kids never felt a sense of belonging and therefore turn into misfits. BTs should have a community on thier own so that thier children can feel a sense of belonging. I think this should be encouraged in different Kiruv organizations around the world they should teach them the cultural frum mentality. Often these pple are extremely idealistic and then they end up getting burnt. Us ffbs can’t help it these people are different. Then once thier children grow and create thier own homes they can then opt to join a main stream ffb community.
Don’t shoot me. It’s reality. You can puff up all this stuff about aha as yisroel etc… But at the end of the day that’s where the truth lyes…
more_2MemberWhy would there be abit of a problem to speak to the family rav??

farrocks: Um, I don’t know what that means. But that’s not what they say. That’s probably why you don’t understand.

Why buy real someone real flowers? They’re cheaper, stay fresh longer, and sometimes even look nicer. So why EVER get real flowers? (If the difference isn’t easily discernible.)

more_2MemberCan the boy speak to the family rav about it? Is there a rebbe that he is close to?

more_2MemberReal modern orthodox have careers and spiritualality combined because they were brought up this way yeshivish might have a career might not but they are very spiritual. An mo, wanna be doesn’t have either of them… They are empty and don’t belong anywhere.
more_2MemberHow did you teach them that?;)
March 18, 2012 4:57 am at 4:57 am in reply to: Going To / Coming Home From Motzei Shabbos Maariv #862467more_2MemberA random hello would freak me out! Good shabbos is parev for anyone random that you don’t know but hello is too freakishly personal… If you know them then fine but if you don’t please don’t start saying hi to people you don’t know, it’s better not to say anything If it’s assur to ash good shabbos…;)
more_2MemberOy Gevald!!!! This is not a mans job!
more_2MemberDancing, long speeches, talking, eating, benching, admiring the numerous decorative ideas,
more_2MemberThank g-d it’s not my problem;) and No, if you read carefully you will see I’m not referring to modern orthodox as low class.
more_2MemberIt also stems partially from not keeping to chinch lnaar al pidarko. Every gen has more and more of these misplaced people, I think it’s about time instead of sitting back and feeling sorry for them, which of course I already do, we have to take a step back and find the cause behind this all.
more_2MemberBUMP;)
more_2MemberBump. Yeshiva bachur123, how is evth going???
more_2MemberYou want boys names???? That type, I’ve got lists…. But I don’t think it’s appropriate to post here, however if a mod lets I will be happy to post my number.
March 18, 2012 2:26 am at 2:26 am in reply to: Going To / Coming Home From Motzei Shabbos Maariv #862462more_2MemberIf its moitzie shabbos for you , you say good woch, if it’s shabbos for you you say good shabbos
If your a snob, no matter if it’s shabbos or moitzie the Halacha says you don’t say anything.
more_2MemberMy craziest experience was while working as a security volunteer for the world skiing championships almost 10 years ago, getting stuck on a Swiss mountain on a steep slope in near-darkness in a heavy snowstorm (blizzard), extreme cold, and resulting in not being able to see up, down, right, left, front or behind. Met up with a snowboarder and a couple of soldiers stuck in the same situation, eventually we managed to get down very slowly, took more than an hour for what usually would take 2 minutes or so. And that one’s real. Yours sounds too crazy to be true.
It’s probably not;)
more_2MemberI told you I was sending someone to stalk you;)lol
Maybe you were all pretending to be nonjews and all of you were maybe…
“We had 4 ski bums, 2 australian exchange students, 2 alaskan college kids, and a popa.”
That makes 5 bums not 4! Do your math, mate;)
more_2MemberWolf, why are you so bitter about it?
more_2MemberDo plenty of exercise before and drink lots of water. It works wonders!!!
more_2MemberNo mapitom, you might have sth in common with a popa bear… You may even make a geshmakke friend;) he may even teach you the grizzly, laugh…lol;)
more_2MemberHow come so many seminaries have the blue shirt policy??? No Halacha just a uniform… Would you rather them have a tank top policy???
more_2MemberIt’s a respected uniform in our day and age…
For example in the 1800 only the rich would wear hats the higher the hat the richer. We are the children of hashem we come from royalty, it’s only right to dress the part,no?
A white shirt is either a higher class business man, a partying guy, or a frum Jew, you are able to tell this from afar… We are the am segula would you want any different??? Ok you can say it’s alittle odd to wear it on certain occasions but on a regular day you’ve got the Kippa, you might as well dress it up and make a kiddush hashem and wear a white shirt. It looks more respectful and the goyim dont look down upon it they look up to it… So why in the world would you adorn a t-shirt or any other colored shirt??? If you do you are missing out on so much!!!
