mom12Participant
two more ideas that worked on two friends of mine-only one problem u gotta be very patient..she put a strip of onion on each cluster of warts. taped on for the night and removed in the morning..her hands are clear..
the other one is a bit easier but u stii have to persevere..she put one tiny drop of CALLOUS remover on each wart each night her hands are clear as well.
both of these remedies take about 30 -50 days……
mom12Participantoomis1105, azoi.is is correct- when i offer a shidduch to someone, I am honest in what I know and what I ddon’t know.
If I have reference, which I usually do, I call them and ask what they can tell me about the boy/girl..and what kind of person would be suitable etc…
I usually get honest answers, and mention shidduchim accordingly…
I also never tell anyone they are being to picky or things like that, because I figured it is ‘min hashamayim’ and it’s not the right shidduch..
there must be a way…I have so many singles I’d love to help..
mom12ParticipantPlease keep us posted…we IY”H keep Davening.
mom12Participantazoi.is I also work quite a bit in shidduchim…if there would be a way we could ‘get together’ or perhaps get mod intervention so we can get these people to get in touch with us personally…maybe we could help the desperate situation a bit…
mom12ParticipantThat too is true…I guess this is a two way street…
mom12ParticipantI hope I am not changing the subject too much but on the same note dont forget PLEASE-
Hw many times am I in a store and people request something -GIMME ONE OF THESE AND TWO OF THOSE..and thats it! and I stand there and say PLEASE..
the counter person then turns toward me and says -thank you-
these people arent mechuyev to do anything for you….the least one can do is say PLEASE AND THANK YOU
mom12ParticipantAnd if they have money who says they are willing to share so readily…
I know of a case where support was promised, but after a year or two the father told his son-in-law to start supporting himself etc…well to make along story short the learning family is living in a basement with quite a few children..and NOT on talking terms with the father..SO MUCH FOR MONEY!
mom12ParticipantSo why do all the ‘shtarke learning boys’ only want money????
about the photos…I am a shadchan. I once mentioned a shidduch to a boy that was here in NY without his parents (he was a BT)..the girl was from another country so I showed him a pic. just to show so that we dont bring in girl for nothing…
well…he did not like her looks etc….but we got her to NY anyway with some back-up ideas just in case…well to make a long story a bit shorter- they got engaged!
As I was leaving the engagement-the chosson tells me- NEVER show a pic of a girl before a meeting! so there u have it! Regardless of what a dead pic shows-once the boy or girl open there mouth this ‘pic’ comes alive and all the flaws just seem to fall away..
good luck to u all
may we only share simchos!!!!!!
mom12Participantgood evening to u all! I know it’s late..but this is when I get my real ‘coffee break’
mom12ParticipantR U saying u r nearsighted with one eye and farsighted with the other? Don’t u get a haedache? I sometimes have to walk around with one lens till I can either clean and put back in or maybe it’s just out of place and I cant fix it right away……………
mom12ParticipantI was thinking about taking in a child-I asked a godol- he advised me against it, he said my children will resent it…I listened..well then I had another one of my own. at that point I certainly would not be able to handle it–

get up early for a shiur and then off to work..and if he is a serious learner that needs money to survive and pay bills..he will probably accomplish more than the full day kollel yingerman!
mom12ParticipantGood Morning everyone…
a-if a child cannot sit inside shul with his father it is not the place for him ..my children are bet 8 and 9 yrs old when they start going to shul.and they have to promise they will sit next to Tati-if not they stay home for the next few weeks. and those who claim ‘chinuch’ the street is not the kind of chinuch I was looking for!
b-I am a car AND carriage driver…when I cross I turn my carriage to the side so Iam in the front to check out traffic…so many times I am tempted to ‘touch’ the carriage just to give this mother a lesson…
and one more thing when waithing to cross DONT wait in the middle of the street so if a car has to drive thru its an obstacle course because there are people and carriages that have no patience (to get to the world to come)-to get across and the car can hardly drive thru and on the two way streets sometimes there are waitin cars to make a left and a car cannot get by on the side because someone is standing there!!!!!!!!!
c-on the oven cleanrs I can only say my daughte burnt her cornea many years ago…we are still ‘busy’ with it today! and that was WITH locking the bottle and putting out of reach!!!!!!!!!
SIYATA DISHMAYA is the name of the game!
mom12ParticipantYes the lenses do ‘disappear’ but they NEVER could go inside or behind the eye they are either stuck on the upper eyelid or scrunched into a corner of the eyelid, usually with LIGHT rubbing it will surface…but if its neatly in the top eyelid it may take longer to come out you may have to turn over eyelid a little to find it…usually some light rubbing works…if you are to harsh on your eyes they could get irritatd causing you not to be able to wear for a few hours and also the lens could tear.
but all in all its a good investment…you dont have to keep moving your head too see!
mom12Participantthe sgula always worked for me accept twice…when my son lost his tfillin (I’m still waiting for them to show up)…and my k’suba ..Ilooked for it but I’m still waiting as well I never give up on Rebbe Meir Baal Haness!!!!!!!!!
mom12ParticipantYes we have a major problem…the melamdim look away or go out for ‘lunch’ and no nothing of the bullying going on at this time..the problem is when my child only tells me years later of what happened by this and this Rebbe…
there is another major issue, buchorim scoring 80% on b’chinos are called ‘beinonim’ and are not accepted into yeshivos because the Rosh yeshiva cannot deal with ‘problems’!
personally , I don’t think an 80% is a problem…and now we are back to square 1 as YW editor mentioned 1 yr ago….who are the murderers of today?!?!? unfortunately..the rosh yeshivos of today that decide who will come to yeshiva and who will be playing ball in the park this year, and many years after that, then we have ‘AT RISK’ kids so who do we blame and waht do we do?
A good yeshiva is one that takes in EVERYONE that wants to learn no mattter what level
he is on and is treated equally!!!!!!!!!!!!
mom12ParticipantNow that’s a lawyer!
mom12Participantnot mine,they don’t…
and the reason u have to look up to them is because they look DOWN at you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 2, 2009 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm in reply to: Yeshiva Delay – Children Sitting Bored For Week At Home #657129mom12ParticipantI agree!! You have children..they are a pkg deal-some days are better than others.
before we all finish with all these complaints and ideas it will be the day after Labor day..and its back to school!!!!!!start preparing the school supplies-kids love it!
mom12ParticipantI know how u feel..the world is COLD in general these days…
well to start…pick one mizva ,that u know you will keep, and make sure you do it…
then there is one chessed a day..for no good reason, do something good for someone, call a friend u know who needs it..offer a ride even though you are not going in that direction(if u drive that is)…the ideas are endless..HATZLACHA RABBA.. and A GITT GEBENCHD YUHR!
September 1, 2009 4:07 am at 4:07 am in reply to: Yeshiva Delay – Children Sitting Bored For Week At Home #657068mom12ParticipantO.K. all of you complainers….Bein Hazmanim is coming up soon and I will be ‘enjoying’
five BIG boys at home…all doing there own thing ,at their own pace,at their own time… at this time my kitchen is taken over…and just about never gets clean- unless two of them get ambitious at the same time -which happens sometimes…
so mentally I prepare-and then I look forward to the cleaning help I will get right after Rosh chodesh Cheshvan…
