@beisyosef- “I’d like to think I’m on par with the average guy in yeshiva.” You were watching movies/ listening to goyish music while in yeshiva as an older guy (4/5 yr bm)? In my yeshiva which I don’t think would be considered to be very yeshivish/greasy, a 4/5th year guy doing these things would be a bit scandalous. Don’t think I’m judging you, I’m really not, it’s just that it makes sense to me that these things would be deal-breakers for a lot of by girls…

Tyrwhitts great they just came out with a stretchy cotton shirt that is very comfortable and looks like a normal white shirt. They only make non iron shirts.

Interesting, I didn’t realize- so it’s common amongst certain litvishe men to wear kapotes on Yom Tov? I’ve never seen this.

I’m looking to go to a yeshiva where guys are ‘frum but normal’, meaning guys who are easy going and fun to be around but can also sit down and learn shtark when it’s time to do so. Warm environment and rebbeim are also important to me.

Note: I know that some people have opinions on yeshivas based on how they were years ago. Being that yeshivas can change drastically over the course of a few years, I’m really only looking for opinions of people that have knowledge on how the yeshiva currently is. Thanks!
