Being a volunteer organization you won’t get a bill from them and they will transport without insurance. The volunteers themselves don’t get paid and the money goes for fuel supplies and materials.

I don’t. My teacher hated me. She stuck me in the corner and left me there all year. I still cry when I think about the neglect I suffered under her “care.” She loved everyone else but for some reason, I was the exception. I learned nothing that year just twiddled my thumbs LITERALLY.

Can someone post the english lyrics? All I remember was this:

    My succaleh was small
    not fancy at all
but it was special and dear to me.
some schach I threw over it hoping to cover it
and there I’d sit and think.

My flags went up at 6:15 this morning, because it was still dark, the lights remained on until 7:30 when I had a break from work to turn them off. The flags will be proudly flown until 4:45 when I get home from work and the lights will go on early to illuminate the flags after dark as part of the US Flag Code.

My husband picked me up from my parents house on Sunday evening. we went to the Hyatt on the east side. After sitting and talking for a few hours, we took a walk through Grand Central Station. On our way back into brooklyn, the battery park underpass was closed and I had to navigate us through downtown even though I had no idea where we were. We get home. He escorts me to the door and the shidduch broke off a few months later.

I get a call a year and day from when we were going to get engaged, he’s interested are you. I said yes, we were engaged a few days later and married about 3 months after that.

I am a school bus driver in ERSCD and the fact that I have to wait behind the buses while picking up or dropping off at every other house is crazy. I do not give house stops since I don’t want the achrayus and I don’t want to risk my job. If an exception has to be made (and it did this year) I talk to my boss about changing the stop and having it done officially. That being said, I would like to applaud my fellow drivers who follow the rules and do their jobs so when a cover driver steps in, there are no problems.

If I’m chalishing to read a specific book and don’t have time, I’ll listen to it on audio of it’s available and not abridged. There was one book I couldn’t get into it was too boring for me at first. I listened to it on audio first and loved it. The printed version became just as exciting. One book we had to read in 10th grade, I just couldn’t start. My tutor read the first chapter to me and couldn’t put it down afterwards.

Because I had weight loss surgery and most of my friends know it, I plan on buying a few dozen dunkin donut boxes and putting in a small bottle of water, small container of tuna or egg salad, a challah roll and a small bag of baby carrots with a napkin, knife fork and straw.

3 weeks ago I had major surgery and my husband spoke to a yeshiva where he does some side jobs and the school offered to have the entire yeshiva learn on my behalf during the time of my scheduled surgery.

No money changed hands and I thank the talmidim of this yeshiva for giving me the chizuk to get through it ok.

My husband managed to convince me last Friday night to transfer to Mt. Sinai in manhattan (Big Mistake). They had someone’s else blood on the cart for who knows how long. After they took my blood, the nurse left it on the desk while she went to get more labels. Someone put it on a chair where the blood cultures nearly dropped to the floor. The battery in wound-vac was running low so we asked them for another one so I could turn mine off. Well, according to hospital policy, they could not give me one until I was in a room. Nobody gave me a hospital gown that fit. They claimed they needed a urine sample but never gave me a cup. I got to the ER about 9:00 at 10:30 they put me in a cubicle, gave me what they claimed was CT contrast to drink but it was in a .9% saline irrigation solution bottle (I told the emergency doctor that I would not drink it but they would have to administer contrast via IV) They had trouble getting blood but never gave me fluids.

I think that covers almost everything. The best thing I did was sign out AMA at 4:30. at 4:15, when they saw I was determined to leave that’s when they started being nice to me and told me they were taking me to a room.

I have a lot of infected tissue that needs to be surgically removed. Surgeon 1 made the recommendation (he’s head of the case) Surgeon 2, Who I’ve been seeing for the last 6 months is chief of staff sent me to Surgeon 3. Surgeon 3’s receptionist did not even want to schedule the evaluation and kicked it back to no. 2. Surgeon 2 was not happy to say the least.

Follow now, (I know I’m still raving)

Being referred to a doctor only to be told you can’t make the appointment because the physician doesn’t do the procedure then having to call your doctor back and have the doctors battle it out.

Go to a hotel lobby or a lounge near some sightseeing areas. This way if either of you get bored sitting to long (which happened in my case) you can always take a walk and see something.

My first date ever, (with my husband) started in the Grand Hyatt Hotel lobby and ended up in Grand Central Station.

Gamanit, going into too much detail would break confidence so let me put it like this.

A child that thrives on unconditional love

A childless couple willing to take your child Shabbosos, Yomim Tovim, overnights, including 70+ hour stretches, all without notice or charge.

Treat her like their own daughter.

One day out of the blue, you call this babysitter and say No thanks and don’t call us again.

Fast forward a few years, this babysitter hates you with all her heart for what you did to her. They can’t function because this child is not around. The pain is so much to handle that you have no choice but to turn this pain to hate so you can get on with your daily life.

Medical problems are cropping up from physical to psychological. Doctors bills are mounting. Appointments are being scheduled 5 a week sometimes more sometimes less.

Then you say to yourself: You know what the hatred and anger is no longer worth it. Hashem, I am moichel these people B’leive Shalem.

Within a half hour, (it was early in the morning) one of us was on their way to the first appointment which started to settle everything down.

And then I realize, Thank you parents of this child, for giving us the most amazing gift you could ever give us. You gave a childless couple a chance at a family. We still miss her, We will always love her and when you’re ready, she still has a place in our home.

3 months later we were married.
