“please, and have a little respect for our rabbonim”
I could never respect anyone who protects molesters and not children. I will never respect anyone who strong arms me into not reporting abuse to the authorities…NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!!
msseeker, you can choose not to believe the stories, but there is a big problem, it is more wide spread then you know and there is a huge conspiracy of silence.
December 1, 2011 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832484mikehall12382MemberI’m trying to understand something. If it’s true that “for the most part molesters are protected, hidden and swept under the rug”, then how can we really know just how widespread and common this issue is?
Becasue brave victims have stepped forward and told their stories…and more and more victims are doing the same…They also state that those who molested them are still in a teaching position..

There are people who look like this that do horrendous things to children and they are protected….Yes, there are some people doing something about it, but for the most part Molesters are protected, hidden and swept under the rug.
December 1, 2011 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm in reply to: It's time for the Imas to save our children from the Nile again. #831471mikehall12382MemberNo Child should ever be left alone with a teacher/principle etc. regardless of how long their beard or white their shirt is.
If a teacher has to speak to my child. The door must remain fully open and the “Rabbi’s” secretary must be present in the meeting.
There is never a reason for a “teacher” to meet privately with a young student. If you have something to say, call me and speak to me and my child together.
Teach your children to know what is and isn’t an appropriate touch
Teach your children not to trust people just because the look “religious”
Teach your kids to punch and kick and get out of there…
Call the cops ASAP
Shun the molesters and those who protect them
There are molesters still teaching children, your child can be the next victim…why aren’t more people stepping up and being more vocal about this….

For all I know he thought it means chapping petch! The story makes no sense otherwise.”
and here ladies and gentleman is the problem!!!!
November 30, 2011 9:47 pm at 9:47 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832458mikehall12382MemberThey molesters are being protected, abuse is swept under the rug if you don’t believe this happens; The I have a great bridge to sell you.
November 30, 2011 9:34 pm at 9:34 pm in reply to: It's time for the Imas to save our children from the Nile again. #831459mikehall12382MemberIf there are known molesters that have been protected by the “community”, then those people who covered it up should be shamed as well.
And I don’t care what people say the first call is to the police, Rabbi’s do not make the law nor are they allowed to prevent people from calling the authorities, last time I checked this was called obstruction of justice…a punishable offence under the law.
November 29, 2011 4:34 pm at 4:34 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832410mikehall12382MemberIf all the victims of sexual abuse in the frum community were to step forward, we would be shocked by the amount of people speaking up…
We would also be in further shock to find out who knew what, who swept what under the rug and worst of all where these abusers are STILL employed….
Believe what you want, but there is a problem and we need our leaders to be more vocal about it.
There are already several public cases where convicted abusers have been sentenced to prison and yet some of our “leaders” make excuses for them calling them great people who have been framed by an antiemetic court.
with leadership like this we are doomed to fail our children once again
November 28, 2011 8:27 pm at 8:27 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832388mikehall12382MemberIt’s time we stand up for the rights of children…Abuse is no longer our dirty little secret. We need to show our leaders who sweep abuse under the rug that we will not stand for it.
Just like some groups embarrass and humiliate men who don’t give a GET, the same public displays and protest should be done against those convicted molesters who hide and are protected…or even worse still allowed to teach our children…which many have.
November 28, 2011 3:17 pm at 3:17 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832378mikehall12382MemberI pray people protest outside the schools where some of these molesters are allowed to continue teaching our children, as they protest religious girls on their way to school (as they do in Israel)…Or as vocal about sexual abuse as they age about Iphones and the internet….
November 28, 2011 2:29 pm at 2:29 pm in reply to: Articel on NY Post Web-site on religious Jews child abuse #832375mikehall12382MemberAnd stop maiing excuses about it like it’s vengful children going after their parents, etc…

mikehall12382Memberkfb….I didn’t know if you knew this but nowhere did I mention the government is religious…also all governments do pretty much as they wish…
In addition a strike on shabbos that can prevent the launching of nuclear weapons aimed squarley at Israel, thus preventing the death of thousands of Jews can be argued as a case of pikuach neffesh and thus MAY be permitted on shabbos…not saying it is permitted, just it MAY be…
The question I posed was is it justified to kill in order to prevent the possibility of a nuclear attack??
But thanks, give my regards to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad next time you visit.
mikehall12382Memberit’s only assur of you are a Yankees fan…
mikehall12382Membermikehall12382MemberIf you are asking the question then u should call the police….your first call is to the police, then your RAV, not the other way around….lets stop trying to cover things up….

Becasue there is a poster who is a Bnai Noah and Imagine there are many people who read but don’t post…Im sure if the MODS were to look at some of our IP addresses they will be surprised that they are from places that have little to no Jews…Plus this site does appear on goolge searches…
mikehall12382Member“my DH just told me the JNF gives money to the Palestinians :/”
I would have your “DH” check his facts…that is so worng.

mikehall12382MemberI do not daven at a Chabad house, but I am friendly with the Rabbi and have gone to his house for Shabbos meals, etc.
I do get weekly emails from him and when refereeing to the Rebbe it always states “of Blessed Memory”….
I am comfortable with that.
mikehall12382MemberIsrael needs to execute terrorist, not keep them healthy and well fed in prison
mikehall12382MemberShalit was captive for 1935 days…1+9+3+5=18 chai….HAshem’s “fingerprints” are all over GIlad’S freedom
mikehall12382MemberI agree terrorist should be given the death penalty….
mikehall12382MemberWhets matters is a Jew is free..hopefully when Moshiach comes we may learn why the price of Gilads freedom was so high…
Until now lets focus on Gilad being free
And if you don’t think Hashem planned it this way, then why after 5 years was he released during a week it is a Mitzvah to be happy? That is no coincidence
mikehall12382MemberToi, u have got to be kidding me, where do you get this stuff?
mikehall12382MemberHe is being freed because millions of Jews have been praying for his release and HAshem listened.
mikehall12382MemberI think one needs to focus on the positives of him finally coming home. Make no mistake nothing happens without Hashem’s approval. The list of prisoners required for the swap may look like it’s coming from Hamas, but this is the number that Hashem deemed would be the right one to get the deal done….
mikehall12382Memberwell done

Don’t know much about conservative, reform reconstructionist….but I don’t think you are far off….
mikehall12382MemberUnfortunately there are some Orthodox Jews who have gone OTD and sadly done the same….This is in despite of years of Yeshiva Education and not being exposed to TV Movies etc…

What I do take offence to is your derogatory tone. Before commenting next time please reread what someone wrote.
