kapusta…i was laughing when I wrote it 🙂
mikehall12382Membermikehall12382MemberI wonder what the Halacha is if I were to walk backwards
mikehall12382MemberThe above post is spot on. well said
mikehall12382MemberIf it has OU on it or any other respectable kashrus symbols then it works for me….
mikehall12382MemberShlishi if you read the first post you will see that on one count the brochur has made the decision on his own while on the other side the first brochur was given direct instructions from his rebbe. I am not choosing one over the other. I am choosing what the first brochure rebbe said. So yes I’m going to go with the rebbe and not some student with a far less understanding of the Halacha….

mikehall12382MemberWhy would one rebbe say it is fine to open the door and even encourage it. Something tells
MeThe rebbe has a better understanding of this Halacha then the yeshiva student as well as the majority of people
Here
mikehall12382MemberIf the other boys rebbe told him he should open the door, then I think u should date boys from that yeshiva.
mikehall12382MemberShlishi are u married?
mikehall12382MemberNo we are not at least as far as I know….
mikehall12382Member“So we have to help her before she gets even sicker, and infects all those around her.”
I think this statement is a bit extreme, your basically calling this women a disease. On top of that I think if a man were to go up to her, this would probably even be a bigger tznius issue. Not to mention the horrible embarrassment it would cause…
mikehall12382MemberI doubt a frum Jew in a frum restaurent would steal a $1 can of coke…
May 27, 2011 2:34 pm at 2:34 pm in reply to: what was your first memory and how old were you? #778588mikehall12382MemberI vaguely remember an Malek teaching me torah…
mikehall12382Member“I strongly believe you should have told her”
Thats could result in embarrasing her, also a big sin
mikehall12382Memberthere are no ramifications, get over it
mikehall12382Membercharliehall…I was going to mention that as well, but it’s seems many ignore that fact.

mikehall12382MemberMove
mikehall12382MemberI agree with the above
mikehall12382Member“I’m not for the Neturei Karta, but most people don’t give them the credit that they do have some very good points”
Like snuggling up to the president of Iran and attending holocaust denying conferences?
Edited
mikehall12382MemberMazel tov and no way
mikehall12382MemberIf chasidim go to Lancaster, do the Amish think they are there long lost cousins 🙂
mikehall12382MemberI’ll have what she’s having 🙂
mikehall12382Member“only Charedai (spelling?) people visit this site”
I’m actually surprised how many are on this site, since many consider the Internet as a whole to be assur…. 🙂

mikehall12382Member“that old standard – – the airport”

mikehall12382MemberLet’s not forget whats OTD for some, isn’t for others…I.E. secular music and movies aren’t viewd OTD in some communities…don’t attack I’m just saying….

mikehall12382Member“my eternal status regarding my reading that book on SQL optimization (among other books).”
I don’t know about your staus in olam haba, But I bet you lost precious time here with that book 🙂
mikehall12382Memberwhy can’t he go to Harvard and learn as well? If he is smart enough for Harvard, he can certainly do both….
I hope my children marry well educated people with good jobs and a love of Torah learning
mikehall12382Memberi think the rov’s advise was pretty good….I know I’m going to get flak for this, but secular music isn’t as bad as eating treif and breaking shabbos. The parents should be happy about that; it could be much worse…
mikehall12382MemberOn a lighter note I have a dog, but have yet to give it a name. We are waiting for him to choose one itself. If the dog wants a female name we will be ok with that as it is the dogs way of expressing himself.
mikehall12382MemberAll aboard the crazy train…too bad you don’t need a licence to have kids!
mikehall12382MemberWell said, there seems to a problem confusing Halacha and minhags
mikehall12382MemberShrek…actually it’s the smartest thing i’ve read!
mikehall12382Member“She spins”
my wife has taken a spin class( google it)at the gym, does this count?
mikehall12382Member“You joke, but we have such a poster who advocated just that — that a husband should not know what his wife looks like.”
sadly, I know
mikehall12382Member“Mike: Don’t you live in Canada? Which baseball teams do you have?”
you have a good memory….
Once upon a time Montreal had the Expos, but they left to Washington a couple of years ago 🙁 Thus we switched out allegiance to the Mets!
We have a lot of family in NY, so when we are in town we try to go…
Toronto still has a team, so we try to take in a game when we are visiting if we can…
we also like Hockey, but tickets in Montreal are hard to come by…
mikehall12382Memberlike a king 🙂
mikehall12382Member“the craziest date you’ve ever been on”
I don’t know if it crazy, but a baseball game…this was after a couple of dates. She loved it becasue she had many brothers who loved the Mets…it was a perfect match and we now happily take our kids to games as well…
mikehall12382Membermy wife wore a burqa, i still have no isea what she looks like.
mikehall12382Member“if i was a guy and a girl ordered beer on a date I would ask her for the fastest route to get her home.
hopes she’s not too drunk to tell you
mikehall12382Member“he will continue getting dumped until he learns how to properly treat a woman.”
not sure how drinking a beer makes him not know how to treat a women….I drink beer and know how to treat a women…if you don’t believe me, ask my wife 🙂
mikehall12382Member“I don’t believe in alcohol”
I believe in using it for Kiddush and Chosen Tishes
mikehall12382MemberI would be fine with it, my judgement would be based on the type of beer she ordered as opposed to the drink itself. If she ordered just a Budweiser I would not be impressed. If she ordered something a bit more exotic like a Guinness, I would be intrigued…
mikehall12382Member“Good decision, your better off without the bum”
In terms of her safety, the average male can drink more than 1 beer and still be OK to drive.
I know of plenty of Frum people that are pillars of their community that enjoy a nice cool one once in a while.
mikehall12382MemberI know the problem, the girl is upset it wasn’t scotch !!
mikehall12382Membergreat question…he gets credit, but not as much…maybe half a point 🙂
