i know someone who has a facebook page and saw other shomer shabbos peoples names having a status update during shabbos hours. it said mr pipik and mr smith are now friends and the time was somewher in the afternoon on saturday.

mr pipik is the jewish person and mr smith is not. so i asked someone to explain this to me and was told that mr pipik may have requested to be a facebook friend with mr smith on thursday and mr smith first accepted it saturday afternoon. not that mr pipik

g-d forbid was on facebook during shabbos.

sooooooo you never know how the mechanics work. perhaps there was a lag in the posting as well.

i personally have gotten text messages to my cell phone many hours after sent if there was a problem with the reception or carrier.

i do not drink nor do i smoke but i cannot understand why smoking is not permitted in restaurants, movie theaters, parks and other places yet drinking is .

drinking is just as dangerous for health as smoking is. not every smoker gets cancer or emphysema, not every drinker get cirhossis of the liver .

HOEWEVER……..drinking and driving can definetly cause an accident while i dont see the same from smoking and driving unless you drop the cigarette under your butt (no pun intended)

farrock, i am very sorry to say that if this high risk pregnancy mom is putting her life and the life of her unborn child at risk going by car service to manhattan rather than calling hatzola she needs to seek some other kind of help as well.

to have someone with an at risk pregnancy in a car service that can get stuck in traffic and/or break down and have NO ONE with medical training to help her is a danger to both her and the child.if she is so obsessed with not having a male take care of her she should find someone near this manhattan hospital to put her up till she goes into labor…oh and hopefully the apt would be across the street from the hospital coz she stil might need assistance and g-d forbid a male 911 team comes to help.

    absolutely ridiculous!

hey guys, aren’t we supposed to be ”dan lekaf zechus” not sure about the spelling.

but why think that there is an ulterior motive.

i must say, it never even crossed my mind.

    guess i must be naive.

anyway, to continue on track with my earlier post……with regard to Kallah Shopping, this is one of those times you can’t BOGO – BUY ONE GET ONE..only one Kallah per Chosson please.

i am sure most if not all of you have seen the height and weight graphs that doctors offices have.

if i look to the lowest numberfor my height i am substantially higher in weight. if i look at the highest number for my height im not oo far above.

    does that make me fat?

when a member goes on a call at 4 AM it is doubtful he will find a good for the next morning parking space when he gets back. therefore, he should be able to park on the side that is not good upon returning from a call.

2q, i hope you are kidding. if someone is involved in a car accident the smartest and corect thing to do is call 911 and have a report filled out.otherwise someday the other driver can claim things that did not exist, most importantly that the person left the scene.

feel like gettting arrested for that? i would not want to.

follow the law…i’m pretty sure that your rabbi would feel that it is better than making a chilul Hashem by leaving the scene and then being arrested (perhaps in the middle of your Shabbos meal) when the cops run your plates and find you.

i throw out the garbage most of the time, i know how to fill the car up with gas, check the fluids, add air to the tires.

does hubby do laundry or dishes? nope.

for the record, all women should know that men can help fold the linen…they all know how to fold a talis so they should be able to do other square or rectangles

    perfume is not tzniusdik.

the smell makes people get attention from strangers.

if someone smells a nice scent they will look to see where the smell is coming from.

    it is an attention grabber.

    it should not be permitted.

who here thinks that heels are tzniusdik?

i think they are not. they make the womans leg look fore attractive.

the shoes with heels are usually more modern and stylish as well.

think about it, he knew her height to start with. does size really matter?

if he was not happy with her size, why did he agree to date # 1.

i wish her a lot of luck based on his post
