mewhoParticipant
we eat a beanless chulent . the reason for that is so that there should be no need for gas masks the entire year.
mewhoParticipanthttp://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/howtoapply/incomeguidelines.htm
i googled and found the website for the first part of your question. i dont have the answer for the 2nd part.
mewhoParticipantsuperstar, i tried to change it a minute after i put it up but i dont know how…help anyone??
mewhoParticipantlots of the women are also involved in chesed projects.
some are doing needlepoints, going for power walks to keep their bodies trim and ehalthy.
going food shopping is much more work than in the city.
this is something that has been going on forever…instead of wondering what the wives are doing all week, ask your moms what they did all week
GOTCHA!!!!!!!!!
mewhoParticipantskagen is great, you really get your moneys worth and its very lightweight
mewhoParticipantsome of these threads must come from chelm
mewhoParticipantplease be sure to post when the smart phone bon fires will take place.
i would like to offer to take some and distribute tehm to people who need them.
i remember the sheitel burning (what a joke) and figure smart phones are next in line.
thanks for the info
mewhoParticipanti think you shuld make a big party for them and drink a lechayim to them too
mewhoParticipantperhaps once she found out you guys are friends with the guy she dated she does not want to come for a meal because she feels she will be put under a microscope.
my advice, BUTT OUT
mewhoParticipantif your friend would move to flatbush then everything would get better.
mewhoParticipantnah i wouldnt worry. i know a whole family that rarely smiles and its hard to imagine it coz the mother has a huge set of teeth.
none of the kids smile. mindblowing
mewhoParticipantits pritzuis
mewhoParticipanti would like to put in a request for some happy pills for all the nasty , grumpy folks that have nothiing better to do with themselves than be judgemental…note the ”mental” in the word.
hahahahaha
mewhoParticipanti really have to say that people here that act like they are high and mighty or holy are the worst there is. if someone watches tv and watches the olympics that doesnt make them a bad person. people do waht they are comfortable with and can still be a wonderful person. we are not all on the same levels of religiousity here. matter of fact some of us may watch tv and the olympics yet not do some things that others do…such as berating watching the people who watch the olympics. i always feel that ”ben adam lechavero” is very important , yet i see many people here who do not hold by that.
id rahter know people who watch the olympics and are good to their fellow man then someone who doesnt watch it but is nasty.

mewhoParticipantCarpool PlanCarpooling is both eco-conscious and the most economical way to travel.
The Port Authority Carpool Plan provides the largest toll discount at the Port Authority bridges and tunnels. By carpooling, you save the most money and reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
The toll for Port Authority Carpool customers is $3.50 per vehicle at all hours.
You must have an E-ZPass account and you must register for the Port Authority Carpool Discount Plan.
To register for the Carpool Plan, call 800-333-8655 (New York Service Center) or 888-288-6865 (New Jersey Service Center). Be sure to have your account number or tag number and PIN for account access.
Three or more people must be in a vehicle to be eligible for the discount (no commercial vehicles qualify).
Customers must use a staffed “Cash-E-ZPass” toll lane and come to a complete stop so the toll collector can verify the number of occupants in the vehicle.
mewhoParticipanti agree with concerned member
mewhoParticipantgeeez, cant people either watch the program OR read the entire articles in the newspapers? you cant always get a full story here or at vin.
the websites dont have enuf space to post EVERYTHING.
mewhoParticipantyou only get the discount if
-you have already called ez pass and joined the carpool program
-you go to a lane marked cash/ezpass
-you have 3 or more people in your car
– you tell lthe attendant you are a carpool member
– you are going thru a toll from a participating bridge/tunnel
not all bridges and tunnels are part of the program

August 8, 2012 8:41 pm at 8:41 pm in reply to: Wife/Mother sitting at head of shabbos table? #890753mewhoParticipantwhen u sit at the head do u get served?
if u do, then its worth it.lol
mewhoParticipantchoppy, what is that supposed to mean?
mewhoParticipantapush-agreed
mewhoParticipantGoq, you are a riot, are we related?
mewhoParticipantchoppy, for the record, my family and i attend an orthodox shule with a very bright and knowledgeable Rabbi. He DID speak about the 11 people who were MURDERED simply because they were JEWISH.
I doubt that he has a TV but he does keep up with the news in the world around him and I would think he read about the Kiddush Hashem from this young lady who we should all be proud of. Now, as I stated previosuly, if you dont have a tv or choose not to watch the olympics that is your business but it is disrespectful and discurteous to try and trash and minimize her accomplishments and the honor she gave to her fellow Jews.
mewhoParticipantnone of my friends called to tell me about it.lol
mewhoParticipantwe are following it in my home and are very proud of Aly Raisman. We have watched the various competitions and they did not give us any sinful thoughts.
If someone doesn’t like it, that’s their business but it is not ttreif. and as taka said…. if you think its treif then so is the internet. why are you here?
mewhoParticipanttaking a childs shoes is unacceptable. plain and simple. no excuse, no long story.
had this been done in a public school setting it would be on the 6 o’clock news and the teacher would be under investigation.
parents should stand up for their kids with regard to things like this. i can tell you for a fact that no teacher did stuff like this to my children. my husband once hard that a rebbe had a tendency to hit children if they misbehaved even in the slightest. my husband made it known that if anyone laid a hand on his child he would come to the school with the police and have the teacher arrested. originally he wanted to beat the teacher up, but i told him then he would end up in jail as well.
mewhoParticipantmazal, if you note my original post it states to call ez pass and sign up. that is the first step.
mammele, most places do not sign people up for discounts. the person needs to go after it themselves in order to get it. just like using coupons or aarp discounts, it is up to you to get them and use them.
mewhoParticipantfor the record, at no time did i suggest saying ”carpool” to the attendant without having 3 ppl in the vehicle.
mewhoParticipantICOT-as I said multiple times. I ONLY do this when there are 3 people in the car. Why is this sheker, geneva or chilul Hashem?
mewhoParticipantwhiteberry, nothing i wrote is beating the system. when i go to that lane there are 3 people in my vehicle. i am following their guidelines. everyone who can, should try to do it. if you go to and from the country for 10 weeks you can save 85 dollars from this alone. nice few dollars to use toward the cost of gas.
those who have family in jersey or monsey can do this year-round
mewhoParticipantmany accidents happen at home. a woman i know was standing on a small step ladder to change a bulb and fell backward. she broke her knee in multiple places. couldnt walk for almost a year.
anytime that there is water involved one should be extra careful. it does become very slippery when one showers and extra care should be taken to thoroughly wipe the soles of the feet.
mewhoParticipantshouldnt i be the one to say that?
ok, the name and address was a joke
🙂
mewhoParticipantthat was a bit odd
mewhoParticipantHAL its creepy to me coz he /she felt the need to tell me how long ago i signed up here, how many posts i have posted and topics i have started. even i dont know that and i am mewho!
mewhoParticipanti do use the same name on most boards. it is still creepy to me that someone looks up my info and presents it back to me.
weirdooooooooooo!!!

July 16, 2012 2:16 am at 2:16 am in reply to: Music during the 3 weeks – upbeat a capella vs. slow, sad instrumental? #884915mewhoParticipantmusic is music
with or without instruments
mewhoParticipantyes, always wrap and bag when the challas are cool otherwise there will be moisture within
mewhoParticipantwhen u say u were wearing a baseball cap so no chillul Hashem, is this the same as when jewish people have come out of bars, peep shows etc wearing a cap but looking totally frum in every other way such as peyos and a beard and think no one can figure out that they are jewish? SERIOUSLY???????????
mewhoParticipantfyi-the original poster is absolutely correct about having clean a/c filters. i recently experienced problems with my a/c’s…one is central and the other a window unit. both were not working properly and when i cleaned the filters, they started to work again. i will always keep my a/c filtrs clean from now on
mewhoParticipantmazel tov
mewhoParticipantan earring
a bracelet
and of course…weight but it is always found!! and then some.
mewhoParticipantso much to list. linens, pots and pans, boots and raincoats especially for the kids who will love walking in the rain.board games for the kids. bats and balls, chalk, bathing suits, water wings for little ones, everything to make the shabbos table, crock pot,
really lots more but i dont know where else to begin, think of what u need on a daily basis as well as shabbos
dont forget lots of first aid stuff..scratches, cuts, mosquitoe repellent etc
ice pack for boo boos, meds, thermometer
mewhoParticipantid rather have the $ in my pocket then a dress inmy closet that i may or may not wear again. that’s why i love the gemach idea
mewhoParticipanti thought the idea of a sheitel is to cover your hair so that no one sees it and you are not appealing to others. getting a pony with it swinging back and forth as u walk is looking for attention
mewhoParticipanttrying to look cute….youngish- like a teenager
mewhoParticipanthow about looking for a mench!
mewhoParticipantarent pony shaitels too cutesy?
