the goyim dont call to find out if the mother uses a plastic over her tablecloth or if the guy has a haircut with a ”chup”

they dont call to see if the guy wants to be a learner or earner…in their world the idea is to go to work to provide for the family. they would not be impressed with a guy sitting in school to learn their bible. etc

so here are my thoughts….how about worrying more about the inside of the person rather than the outside. whether the person has a chup or is a #2 or #1 haircut.

find out what this person is in their heart and soul.

    appearances can be baloney.

i know people who have seen this first hand.

you can dress someone up to play a part but if it is not genuine it is worthless.

i find some of the jewlry store ads obnoxious—for shalom bayis make sure to bring home a new piece of jewelry to your wife for yom tov…..what about those who cannot afford that, is the implication that without a new piece of jewelry there is no shalom bayis?

why do so many women and so many stores buy and carry ”pencil” skirts…they are body hugging skirts.

also those kiki riki tops are very form fitting. yes, they are supposed to be for under a jumper or sleeveless dress but many wear them as their main top covering. not tznius at all

I havent posted here in ages but I have been reading posts. I still see the same bullying coming from one specific poster. No matter the subject this one person feels to know it all and no one else can come close. Perhaps that attitude is what kept this poster off of Hatzolah.

A little bit of humble pie is a good thing.

i would like to weigh in on this one.

i have one set of glasses that i use all day long.

they are very expensive, cost me over 300 dollars.

they are progressive lenses. i dont see any reason why i should have any other glasses whether i eat milchig , fleishig, pareve or pesachdik.

do others here have seperate glasses based on what they are eating?

seperate seating is baloney. we had mixed seating for our kids bar mitzvas and the rabbis table managed to sit man woman, woman man, man woman etc…they had no problem whatsoever.

ive seen people sit mixed at engagement parties and say they wont sit mixed at a wedding. give me a break!

those who wont come because of seating can stay home…hypocrits

we have a blast with telemarketers in my house.

we ask for their number so we can call back at OUR convenience.

We tell them we are in the middle of dinner and give details of the menu.

when they offer us services such as long distance we tell them we dont call people coz no one likes us.

if they offer an alarm we tell them the head of the family runs an alarm company and so on.

usually they cant wait to hang up
