mewhoParticipant
aries, thank you for your suggestions. her relationship with my parents is one of the past. unfortunately they are no longer liveng for quite some time.
i have always welcomed her with open arms. i tell her how much i appreciate her folding laundry , hanging jackets etc.
she is a clean a holic but i dont need things to be cleaned such as my desk, or for my things to be taken.
mewhoParticipantbtw, did get a beautiful breakfast delivered on behalf of hubby and kids. want to make sure i post the good stuff too.
also going out with them later this eve.
b”h for that.
mewhoParticipantthanks choc and oomis and all.
🙂
mewhoParticipantwe need mothers day so that i can buy my mil 4 gifts and be told none of them fit. then i tell her i will get larger sizes and she says, get me a blouse to go with a brown skirt instead. i say ok. later she tells me i must have bought her gifts in the junior department . as if i dont know where i am shopping.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
mewhoParticipantdepends on the size of the room as well
mewhoParticipantthank you all for your advice. i truly appreciate it. i am still afraid to bring it up coz she is sensitive. she will cry etc. i dont want to hurt her. i just want her not to take things from me. pictures of my parents are irreplaceable if lost. they are no longer here. copies can be made. all she needs to do is ask.
i guess that last sentence is exactly what i should say should the picture subject come up again.
mewhoParticipantyaakov, im the wife. i told my dear hubby and he was upset as well.
MDG, i fear that since i didnt lay the rule down the moment it happened i cant really bring it back up now.
i truly hate having any issues with her. i shop for the foods i know she likes to make her feel good when she is here and i also like our children to see that we do what we do for her. so i feel funny having this on my head as well.
mewhoParticipantdaas, no sadly she does not. he passed away more than 10 yrs ago.
i’m trying really hard. honest. she was here 2 weeks for pesach. i got hrough it . but going through things on my desk and then taking them is hurtful to me. what if she didnt give the pix back? i would not have known where they were.
mewhoParticipanti would like to suggest dinner at cafe venezia on coney island ave between ave J and K. whatever you eat as a main will be yummy but make sure to have the belgian waffles with ice cream for dessert!!!!!
mewhoParticipantzahavasdad, you beat me to the punch with that answer.
very true
mewhoParticipanti dont think men should wear make up
mewhoParticipantthere have been cases of some body parts being slightly distorted. that is not the norm. it is a small small percentage. google it and look up some good medical facilities that practice in this field
mewhoParticipantmake sure u call 911 and hatzolah as well , or if someone else is around ask them to do it. its not easy and most times ppl take turns .
mewhoParticipantwhy not? there are plenty place to go and things to do.
enjoy
mewhoParticipantwash his bedding in hot hot water. it kills the dust mites which he is probably also allergic to.
allegra is also over the counter and helps. claritin did not help for me. there was an allergy segment on channel 7 yesterday , dr. clifford basset. check dr. bassets website for more info.
mewhoParticipantturn the a/c on in the car as soon as you get in. the pollen is terrible and that causes more sneezing then usual. be safe!
May 3, 2011 8:42 pm at 8:42 pm in reply to: Getting Married & Trying To Decide To Have TV Or Not #764316mewhoParticipanti would like to agree with not having one in the beginning and certainly not having one in your bedroom. if you feel you want one somewhere down the line keep it in the den.
for the record, the same can go with the smart phones and laptops. i have visited homes where almost every family member is playing a handheld game of somesort or listening to music.
whatever happened to board games and talking to each other?
how about a deck of cards? playing jacks? dominoes?
ok, i am giving away my age group. 🙂
mewhoParticipantrotten tomatoes are less expensive then grenades. less destructive too.
🙂
mewhoParticipantyoyo, if you feel uncomfortable when you go to that store—which you have said you do, then take a deep breath and speak to your parents. unless there are other things that you have not told us here , the normal reaction from parents would be to have their child sit down and talk about what the problem is and see what can be done. be open and honest, if they know you use the computer , you could even show them some of these posts if you feel it would help.
do it as soon as possible.
mewhoParticipanteveryone be on alert, it’s scary.
mewhoParticipant13 is the day of the omer that they told us bin laden is dead. we can remember that every year
mewhoParticipanthave your parents speak to the manager and/or owner.
or if the people in the store dont know who your parents are, have them come in and shadow you a couple times so they can see things that go on with their own eyes.
mewhoParticipantu can always say u are exhausted and want to rest.
mewhoParticipantterrible thing that happened there.
hopefully they will catch whoever did it
mewhoParticipantall i can say is those hats were outrageous. i cant even figure out how some stayed on their heads.
May 1, 2011 2:19 pm at 2:19 pm in reply to: (speaking of chinese auctions….Did you EVER win ANYTHING?? #763242mewhoParticipantmy family and i have won numerous prizes. and sometimes not, but its fun anyway and the money goes to tzedakah
mewhoParticipantsad thing about this post is that if G-d forbid something happens we will all feel terrrible about it. however, if yoyo continues going to that store she is getting deeper and deeper into the problem . yoyo, follow the advice many posters have given you and STOP going to that store. TELL YOU PARENTS what goes on there.
mewhoParticipanthealth, take a chill pill. i wouldnt want your blood pressure to rise.
mewhoParticipant9 is half of 18 (chai).
mewhoParticipantthe question is, why was it held back all this time?
mewhoParticipantthis should not be only about shidduchim. it should be lifestyle and lifetime habits.
i for one blew my diet out of the universe and need to get back on track. we should all strive to eat healthier and exercise more. its best for us in the long run.
now i need to read and re read this over and over and hopefully it will sink in.
mewhoParticipantcan we wait to post the next number after dark?
mewhoParticipanti prefer quaker oatmeal
mewhoParticipant8 is a lucky number for the asian people……..Eight
mewhoParticipantonly arms or face too?
April 27, 2011 4:07 am at 4:07 am in reply to: If you could live anywhere, where would you live? #891001mewhoParticipanti love the stores in flatbush but would not want to live there due to parking and keeping up with the joneses.
bell harbor is nice coz its near the beach.miami is great for the winter coz its warm. maybe we can mix em all together and come up with the perfect place.
mewhoParticipantcould also be rosacea….google it on line and see if any of the symptoms match yours. if so, there are topical creams and oral medications for rosacea but the sun is still a no no if that is your diagnosis. let us know. good luck
mewhoParticipanti looked on you tube and amazon. cant find it
mewhoParticipanttikkun, i am far from harsh. i suggested numerous times in this post and in yo yo’s other post to contact an agency and get some help.
that would be the best possible advice to follow.
posting in here is not helping any .
mewhoParticipantmy red nails are ruined from cleaning. cant wait to do em tomorrow
mewhoParticipantsounds to me more like yoyo is playing a game here. after reading what she claims her parents response was that closed the deal for me.
for a child to be so totally freaked out for days and weeks and then she speaks to her parents and their response is ”like chill out”
cmon, give me a break.
its ok….i am taking a break form cooking…anyone want to tell any other bube meises?
mewhoParticipantif anyone still believes this , i have a bridge to sell you.
lol
mewhoParticipanti have been reading this thread and read the other one posted by yoyo and find some of what is written very hard to accept.
yoyo, instead of posting here every few hours and getting nowhere dealing with your problem, march yourself into your living room or kitchen or wherever your parents might be and discuss all of this with them. they know you best. not us coffee room folks. they care about you and would want to help you in whatever way is needed.
if in fact there is any danger to you it should be addressed asap. if you are having other issues that are manifesting themselves in this then you need those addressed as well.
get off the computer and go speak to them face to face and deal with this . you will probably feel better after doing so. best of luck.
mewhoParticipantwhen i married my husband he was a smoker and the smoked for many years. he stopped in his 30s and cannot stand the smell of smoke. i am happy i married my husband the smoker rather a non smoker who wanted to marry me. smokers CAN quit but people who have personality disorders have a harder time changing than a smoker does quitting.
mewhoParticipantyoyo, here’s the deal. i think its high time you speak to your parents. if you absolutely positively cannot speak to your parents then i think you should call someone professional and discuss this with them. feel free to reach out to Met Council 212-453-9500.
In addition, if you carry a cell phone , take it out and use it when you are anywhere near these people. either call a friend and talk to her for support or just a change of subject. if you have no one to call at that moment just open the phone and fake it.
mewhoParticipantim not working this time but i have in the past.
i usually dress a little fancier to show that it is holiday.
mewhoParticipanti’ll be here
mewhoParticipantthen find another store to go to
