I think there is another factor here as well.
It also depends on how you pronounce the word.
If you say chulent like chew-lint, you are completely off. Go back to Willy town.
If you pronounce it chuh-lint, you’re good. It really doesn’t matter then how you spell it, although, chOlent might just be the grammatically correct way to.
If you spell it chOlent and say it like chow-lint, you belong in the KAJ, not here ;). YOU are talking about something totally different. Maybe its gruenkerren zup you mean.

PY 613, we’re not eradicating minhagim here. We’re discussing them. Another issue that disturbs me greatly, is the fact that there are young children handling the chickens and doing the kapparos! I mean, this is insanity. How can mothers let their young boys handle chickens all night? I was completely shocked the first time I saw this.
Health: How sure can you be that they weren’t taught right? Why are you blaming the parents? They could’ve been taught right and still not follow the rules. This has got to do with the kid, not the parent.
