I figured that’s what it was, I’ve just never seen it. I guess it can mean “less than or greater than” which is a roundabout way of saying “not equal to”.

I find that it happens quite often here. You kind of develop a picture of someone in your head and then they reveal something which shows that the picture is way off.

You should be self-supporting by the time you have a self (including self, spouse, and children) to support, whatever age that may be.
Maybe their purpose is so that we can get satisfaction and relief when we kill them. Maybe take our anger out on bugs instead of people.

But seriously, it’s not a good idea to ask for halachic answers/advice in the coffee room. You have no way of knowing where the answers are coming from. You should have a Rav or a Rebbe with whom you can discuss these things. You mentioned in another thread that you are going into 8th grade. It’s an excellent time to develop a relationship with a Rebbe

Welcome to the Coffee Room. While I don’t have any advice that is pertinent to your question, I would like to advise you to not get too discouraged by Joseph’s comments. He’s a regular here and he tends to be have very strong opinions about certain things. I’m not saying I necessarily disagree with him in this case, I’m just saying if you’re not familiar with his posting style it’s easy to get shot down.
I agree with Joseph.
It would be much more interesting if it were just a hypothetical story, and the question was “What should Player 2 do?” or something like that.
Right now it’s just a guessing game.
