Sometimes I call my neighbors posing as Feivish and tell them that they won the Oorah auction, even though I’m not actually Feivish and they didn’t actually win.

It’s for simchas Klal Tisroel. They get so excited to hear from Feivish.

Yeah. Why would anyone want to hear about something that Joseph already knows?

I have no idea what goes into planning an event like this, but I would imagine it is very difficult to predict how many people will attend, considering the size of the venue and how infrequently the event occurs.

theres something called legal harassment, would you be ok for being ticketed for not crossing in the crosswalk?

    Sure, if that’s the law

then having to identify yourself like in nazi germany?

Well how else will they give me a ticket?

lets be straight about this, a woman Jwalked, have you never j walked? or how about ever crossed the street out of the crosswalk or when the light was red to pedestrians?

I try not to, because as a driver it bothers me when other people do it, and because it’s the law. Though I have never walked away while a cop was talking to me.

Youโ€™d really be fine with a cop ticketing you for that?

    Yes

And demanding id, besides for being totalitarian, would you really be?

Yes. It’s happened to me before.

ok you guys are obviously just good cops who are upholding the safety and integrity of our city, sure, let me tell you my name and address?!

Well if you aren’t ok with that, then don’t break the law.

Now let me ask you a question: What if she were a driver running a red light rather than a pedestrian?

Obviously you can’t see the whole picture just from the videos, but if a police officer asked me for ID (especially after breaking the law) and I just walked away, I would fully expect him/her to use force to stop me.

I don’t get what’s outrageous about the first one.

She was resisting arrest, and it wasn’t even particularly violent.

Are cops supposed to give tickets only to those who agree to receive them?

There is a picture going around today of a package of buns containing the Luchos K symbol, with PORK listed in the ingredients.

It wasn’t a package of buns, it was some type of pork/mozzarella cheese product. It is very clear that the kosher symbol was put there in error.

Anti-Vaxxers have asked CDC for 100% Vaxxed vs 100% Unvaxxed. CDC refuses. Why?

When I was 8 years old, I asked my parents to pay $40K to send me to astronaut college. They refused and said that I wouldn’t be able to be an astronaut anyway because I throw up whenever I go on the carousel.

Now that I’m older and wiser, I know that they were really lying and that they didn’t let me go because they didn’t WANT me to become an astronaut.

In stores where it actually works well I almost always use it.

Same goes for gas. I just find it easier and quicker to do it myself than to wait for the attendant.

If that means fewer jobs for humans, I don’t have a problem with that. Why should a store hire a human to do something a machine can do?

So make sure your Rov has a backup.

Many Rabbonim ask you to give an estimate of how much chometz you have and specify where it is located (in addition to any other chometz you have)

The shtar that I signed gave the Rov explicit permission to appoint another shaliach.

Try selling your car to someone after already selling it to someone else, just in case the first person backs out. Let me know how that works out.

It makes more sense for the Rov himself to have a backup. If you’re really concerned, ask your Rov if he has a backup. If not then choose a different Rov.

She wants to take it back (any pound of meat in my pot) but I want to keep all the 61 lbs of kosher meat and give her back trief meat for her dog.

Let’s pretend she dropped a pound of kosher meat in the pot. Who says she could just take back any pound of meat in the pot? If I drop a basketball in your backyard, can I go into your backyard and just grab any basketball I find?

The burden is on her to prove that she’s taking back what’s hers. Until she can prove it, she gets nothing.

Exactly my point. Let her prove that the piece of meat she’s taking is the one she dropped in.

If she actually could prove it somehow, then it was never actually batul.

Seriously though, I believe the ones that are commonly sold in stores are galvanized steel (similar to the air conditioning ducts in houses, but thicker).
