So just say that lately you’ve been really busy, and as much as you enjoy her company, it’s getting difficult to drive so far out of the way for her.

It would probably be a nice thing to help her find another ride as well.

Ok then, back to the original topic.

Why don’t you want to give her rides?

    You don’t.

You keep giving her rides because you shouldn’t be alone in your car with the guy who is OTD and has a tattoo, even though he tells you he wants to learn full time.

I will have to admit it is. I know you will not approve but I am the one dating him not you.

In that case, I retract my “B”H” and replace it with “oy, nebech”

There shouldn’t even be a Pi Day.

Pi is an irrational number. Any calendar system you can think of would not have a date with an irrational number.

    Here’s a small list:

Yehoshua – I like it because it’s the name of a very Holy figure in Tanach

Eliyahu – I Like it because it’s the name of a very holy figure in Tanach

    Sarit,

Yehoshua and Eliyahu are both very holy names from Tanach. It would be disgusting and possibly a huge chilul Hashem to refrain from using those names for the reasons you mentioned.

I’m actually surprised that there are so many posts in this thread and no one had said this yet (especially you, Joseph).

Just remember that if anything doesn’t go as planned, it will probably make a great story in a few years.

Seriously, who wants to think back at their wedding after 20 years and say, “It was so nice, everything went exactly as planned, it was straight out of a fairy tale”?

Also let everyone else take care of all the planning. No one should be pressuring you to take care of that stuff.

What’s wrong with dating more than one guy at a time?

Assuming you’re just dating to see if you would be compatible for marriage, I don’t a problem, as long as you can handle it.

Have you ever seen an unhappy gerbil? They’re adorable.

My brother had two gerbils. Once one of them was running on the wheel and the other one stuck his head in and his head got chopped off.

    He probably wasn’t happy.

Though now that I’m thinking about it, they might have been hamsters.

Hey! Same thing happened to my hamsters. Do I know you?

Btw, if you want to watch the actual selling process, YWN put up a video last year:

SEE HOW IT’S DONE: Selling of Chometz Last Year With HaRav Mordechai Willig [VIDEO]

Again, this video really has nothing to do with your part. All you do is fill out the form and appoint the Rabbi as your agent. The video shows how the sale works subsequently.

You don’t sell your house. You sell your chometz.

It’s actually very simple (at least your part is simple, for the Rav it’s a bit more complicated).

Either you heard incorrectly or he was joking.

I once heard this beautiful vort, I think it was from Rav Pincus:

When the Jews ate at the seudah of Achashveirosh, the malachim went to Hashem and said, “Look at this terrible thing they’re doing! They should be destroyed!” And they were takah right, to the extent that Hashem let Haman write his decree. But then Hashem said back to the malachim, “Wait! I don’t care how terrible of a thing they’ve done, they’re my children! I can’t destroy them!” and he reversed Haman’s decree.

On Yom Kippurim we ask Hashem to disregard all the terrible things we’ve done and to remember that we are his children, just like he did on Purim.

Presumably this is a joke – implying facetiously that you do not like Popa bar Abba and would like to see him get sick and die and thus out of your hair.

I actually thought he meant that it would be better for him because it would mean more business for him as a medical professional.

If he meant it the way you explained, I don’t think I would have a problem.

And to be honest, I was joking in the beginning, but then Health started to get annoying with all his yelling

Why are you trying so hard to avoid answering my question? It is a straightforward question, and if everything you’ve said so far is true, you should have no problem answering it.
