“Having said that, how many women go to shul in the ultra-orthodox community?“

    I don’t know, I don’t count (partially because I don’t look through the mechitza)

But during my shul’s Kiddush (pre-Covid-19) there we’re at least 10 and that was the weekly Kiddush, a bar-mitzvah is obviously higher

    Syag,

You think I like the kids running around?

But to say (you should be healthy for many years to come) that we have to sacrifice old people with canes and wheelchairs so that women shouldn’t come to shul with their babies is a little odd whereas there are countless other ideas where everyone can be happy (a babysitting service built into the membership perhaps where it benefits syag that she can daven properly and it benefits shprintze where she can daven properly and have the kids off her hands to boot

I’m not sure if your shul constantly have guests but one of the shuls in my community (Yeshivish/Modern) does this and it seems like it works

Bear in mind an Eruv makes a community most of the time (except for Brooklyn, but that’s an exception)

    CTlawyer,

When trump put out his tax plan you said something of how it’s bad because you have to pay more money

    But with Biden you say

“Furthermore, to quote my late father Z”L, when he’d be writing a hefty check every April 15th. “America is a great country, you’ve got to make it to pay it.”
It is both my honor and privilege to make a large income and pay taxes on it.“

“You can do 2 minutes of research on the internet and learn the history of how, why and when this occurred.
The facts are straight forward. See wikipedia.“

Telling me to look at Wikipedia is the same as me telling you that Trump is an oheiv yisrael and my source is Joe (or YWN)

Anyone can post anything on Wikipedia

“ Regardless of the what people (voters and politicians) personally think in terms of racism. for decades it has been off-limits for a politician to be openly racist.
This all changed when Trump decided to make openly racist statements (many of them false) and subsequently legislate racist policies.

“total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”.
” Hey, I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering.””

And Obama said “if I had a son it would be Trayvon” and stuck himself into a case before it was decided

Additionally I remember videos of Arabs cheering when the twin towers fell, so what it wasn’t in New Jersey rather it was in Gaza

It’s a good question (for someone not used to our system of voting)

It actually did start off as other republicans in the race but they dropped out Because they saw they cant win due to lack of coverage

The main reason is because the party in power wants to stay in power and dividing up your base won’t win

    Jackk,

    It’s a good point

However the amount that is taxed is up to the discretion of the giver and is not due to the amount of crops someone has (a rich guy can give 1/60 while a poor guy can give 1/40)

“Our POTUS is a prime example of this selfish republican behaviour. He and his family are forbidden to run a charity in NY because he has stolen from his own charity and not used it for the poor. )“

Our president is the first president (Democrat or Republican) that has given away his paycheck that he earns while being president to charities
