yes. a person cannot live a life of fantasy & be with Hashem on a high level. he needs to give up something for Hashem & show how much he values being with Hashem & give some physical pleasures up.
ex. if you remove yourself from internet & running after your favorite sports team. you will definitely be on a much higher level & be much closer to Hashem-not because of removing these tumahs but for your act of showing Hashem how much you Value & treasure being with Hashem.

sorry if my post sounded insensitive, as a psychologist it is a top rule to be sensitive, BUT when it comes to assisting a patient everything needs to be %100 HONEST or else all my help to my patient is worthless if I don’t get the full true story/situation from him/her.
every doctor/rebbe can only help his patient/talmid If he listens %100 to his advice & takes the medicine prescribed for him in his situation etc… to help him the patient needs to tell his doctor what really hurts him…. so he can prescribe the right medicine/solution

coming from a large family of more then 12 siblings my family never had more then 1 car & we didn’t even have a van. how did my large family manage throughout the year? only for once a year we exchanged our car for a friends van it was for visiting day in the summer. even to family weddings my dad made 2 car trips to the wedding hall with all the kids.
finally when a child is old enough to work & have a drivers license then s/he can also afford to get a car & pay for it her/him self. its not the parents job to buy 3 cars so their working child has a way to work
just another excuse to party. they already have something like the Shabbos kalla for the chosson its called the aufruf.
just smile, relax & let the boy do the talking, cause remember that’s the boys job on a date more then the girl

its very bad for today. today we are living a more expensive life with all our technology & desires. etc…. if we were still living the say simple life as in the 1950’s then you can say its not so bad for todays economy. how much were monthly expenses in the 1950’s? now how much larger is it today? are we making the difference in our incomes? NO. this is called inflation & we are actually doing worse then when we lived in 1950.

you are absolutely right. if only there were more people like you that would open up their eyes & see Hashems amazing work in every tiny product. we would all be forever grateful to Hashem & we would be a much happier world. sadly today it is vice versa, where everyone looks at what their missing that their friend has etc… instead of being grateful for the wonderful family they have & everything else Hashem gives us

But you can still save yourself from going down. if a person can use his money the right way & remember that it all comes from Hashem & it was just loaned to him (even though he worked for it), then he is the perfect person to continue holding Hashem’s money.

after approximately 10 years-or more- of teaching many rabbeim tend to transfer to becoming principles or assistant principles (based on their experience but also due to their knowing how that school they have been working in runs) this of course is only due if the school is growing more classes & therefore needs more principles
i.e. not all schools grow. some stay 1 to 3 classes per grade & that’s it after that there’s no more room for more growth because they do not want to grow, as it involves more then just finding a new rebbe for the additional class per grade in the years ahead.

in Eastern coast communities its at the minimum of 30k per year unless your doing special ed. or
if your teaching in a more modern day school community & traveling they give more closer to between 40k-50k per year (but that also means you won’t be sending your children to that school. not only bec. modern but also cause its in a different town)
in the Midwest of Chicago or other Midwest communities where tuition is much more expensive the rabbeim & teacher get paid more by a total different amount.
