“when I’m learning from my iPad, it’s because I’m neither in a beis midrash or at home — I’m travelling. So, why is it more spiritual to limit myself to one or two sefarim, as opposed to having access to lots and lots of sefarim?”

its great for traveling but soon these ipads will not only be used for traveling it will be people one gadget with all seforim on it & thats it

people may also C”V bring it into a restroom to read YWN & forget that Hashems name is written in it & thousands of seforim are on that same ipad. thats a major bizayon hatorah & may be ossur to bring into restroom. consult your LOR

Chassidim are less attracted to the physical world of technology today. Their lives are made much more simple & they devote their marriage to raising a family, without the need to worry about support cause that is taken care of before the wedding.

versus Litvish are more worldly & require more physical stuff thus costing more to live & support (if being supported) & if husband works life is still expensive. “the fancier life you expect the more it will cost YOU”

meno: Examples of pushing the limits too far, everything has a limit.

wolf:listening to a shiur on tape while driving is a opportunity to learn torah & do something ruchnius. versus just driving. people don’t listen to these shiurim on tape so they could avoid sitting live with a speaker.

versus our topic of all seforim on a ipad. puts the kedusha of learning Hashems torah much lower & makes it not as ruchnius as learning from a sefer in a bais medrash or even at home.

in reply to: Artscroll gemara now coming onto technology #1149433

what will the word davening mean then? a joke C”V i can drive to work wearing my tefillin & davening by heart & then text someone else at the same time C”V

Is that not a bizayon to Hashem & to his torah? is this the way to talk to the melech malchei hamelochim the king of kings our loving father?

in reply to: Artscroll gemara now coming onto technology #1149430

thank you for your thoughts & opinions

but if one day Rabbonim say that 10 drivers putting their phone on live skype while driving to work can daven shachris as a minyan where will that put the kedusha of going to shul & davening with a real minyan of 10 people with you?

there is a limit to things:

    examples include:

1)i can go on vacation anywhere but to go to Mecca C”V “as a vacation” is pushing it

2)i can copy my competitors ideas of his business, but trying to steal his customers by offering something better & also put a bad name on him C”V is pushing it too far

many other examples i can write

3)i have my seforim in my home & shul & Yeshiva library but to remove learning Hashems torah from a sefer is pushing it. soon our homes will be empty from torah C”V just a ipad. is this the way to learn with my children?

how many years will it take until i can find some heter to bring torah into restrooms C”V

Which brings another question: can a person who has shas on his ipad bring it into the restroom so he can read the YWN coffeeroom?

That is who i am: i am never afraid to speak up honestly for the sake of hashem or for the sake of doing the right thing etc… a person needs to do whats right & not be scared.

i have stopped thousands of people-in a nice way-from doing isurei melacha of shabbos & many other issurim by explaining to them what they were doing is assur. what many other people are too afraid to speak up. what about the chiyuv mitzva of “hocheach tocheach ess amisecha” to give mussar NICELY to those that need it?

in reply to: Bring Back Shame #1117491

these destitute people-sadly in todays day-need to dress nicer then others in order to avoid embarassment so that their friends & neighbors dont know that they are poor. this is also why “it’s mostly the poor people that make the fancy simchas” (i have been in the Simcha Business for many years) for the same reason.

    they have no choice.

on another note: you asked why they think its right. i tell you that lots of people think their allowed to cause they feel like their paying taxes on lots of things etc… so we can take back this way. ITS WRONG & a big chillul Hashem

in reply to: Reasons to do teshuva and why the world is in such a bad situation #1117012

every generation the nisyonos from Hashem only get harder. each generation according to its level. today we are holding in the generation of technology. where the tumah of internet, & cell phones in shul distract a person & remove him from his relationship with Hashem.

Our job is to pass these tests from Hashem & each test a person passes brings him closer to Hashem & raises him to be ready for the next higher level test to get even closer to Hashem.

one fact that every jew knows (even the reform) is that if a person couldnt pass the test then Hashem wouldnt put him in that nisayon, so noone could ever ask Hashem why is this….(fill in your hard situation test of faith in Hashem) happening to me?

i am fortunate & so grateful to Hashem to still only have a flip phone & when i am on the web to only use it for my email & news & Maybe sometimes to buy something.

stay away from all your yetzer haras of the tumahs that the internet has & “GET WHAT YOU NEED NOT WHAT YOU WANT”

any person can go out to eat once a week or go on a vacation etc… BUT to go out to eat just to have a desired steak is called crazy.

    in reply to: Vayigash #1117480

it does have to do with it:

just like yosef had to wait until he knew his brothers has done teshuva 100%

Hashem today is waiting until we do teshuva 100%-myself included-so mashiach can come.

i wish we would finally admit to ourselves that we need to do teshuva. so tzaros in klal yisroel can end finally

in reply to: I Don't Want to Have the Last Word… #1117837

    seek help from Hashem

    in reply to: Vayigash #1117474

when Hashem (not yosef) sees that klal yisroel whole heartedly does teshuva as a nation together as one (from frum to reform etc…) then he can send Mashiach & return his shchina to Klal yisroel with the Bais Hamikdosh.

until then it will have to wait R”L

BUT JUST REMEMBER there’s no one to blame but OURSELVES. how many tragedies does it take to get the wake up call from Hashem that its time to do teshuva? you think about that.

in reply to: Do you know any chassidish Rebbes that I can get brachos from? #1116748

these messages are shocking messages straight from Hashem that are only for ages 35 or above (messages are too shocking for bochrim or yungeleit)

the shocking 2 messages above sent earlier are the bare few HAPPY messages from Hashem. most of them are tragedies as they occurred recently & in the past (from 9/11 to gush katif & leiby kletzky etc…) & their shaking wake-up call messages from Hashem delivered each down to the world a day or two after each tragedy occurred R”L.

    in reply to: Vayigash #1117472

Before he forgave his brothers he had to test them to see if they sincerely whole heartedly did teshuva for selling him and until that was done he couldn’t contact any family members even his father

in reply to: Do you know any chassidish Rebbes that I can get brachos from? #1116739

now you remind me of 2 messages from Hashem (i.e. messages you will not find in any sefer or newspaper, neith is it from me for we do not have nevi’im today. it came straight from hashem)

2)Tzaddikim & poskim when approached with a question in Halacha, will most likely do 2 things. Either they will make you comfortable & tell you, come lets learn it together or they will tell you to wait a moment. BUT this is only done either as a sign of humility & to stay away from the evil act of pride or to make you feel warm. Example. A posek with a line of 100 people with questions would love to tell each one yes/no you can/not do this on shabbos etc… & you can look it up in Shulchan Aruch Siman– Sif–. He would love to finish answering everyone so he can go back to his own learning. He is only looking it up to keep his humility.

This is why i am blessed to be such a happy person and even assist many people as a psychologist to remove stress and depression from their lives among many other issues people need help in.

If you need any free assistance in psychology help just start a new coffee room with the question and wait for my reply besides many other people replying.

I bench you and everyone that in the category of psychology you should never need my help (although it is free)

what would the world be like today if EVERYONE liked the same things & there was no arguing over opinions?

when a person argues with you, its because s/he believes that his/her way of life-on the topic being discussed-is the right way & all other thousand ways or minhagim (of lighting chanuka candles or leaning on pesach etc…) are wrong. sadly they will not listen to someone elses opinion cause in todays day we are living in the generation of self-centeredness & instant gratification where everything is ME ME & ONLY ME.

in reply to: Do you know any chassidish Rebbes that I can get brachos from? #1116725

The best one to turn to for help is “OUR LOVING FATHER IN HEAVEN HASHEM THE KING OF KINGS” may his name be praised

the KEY to success in Judaism if you have faith in Hashem, Hashem has faith in you. (that you will do his ????). There’s nothing wrong with getting Chizzuk from a rebbe or a Rosh Yeshiva & learning from their ways etc… theres also nothing wrong with getting a bracha from a rebbe

BUT getting a bracha from a rebbe & depending on it AKA: coming home & telling your wife we just got a bracha that were going to have a child or be rich or our daughter is going to have a refu’ah shleima etc… is a lack of Faith in Hashem. The Chovos Halevavos says in the chapter of faith that a person cannot have faith in 2 things (AKA Hashem & a Rebbe, Rav or friend) for when he does, he loses both. (he then brings a mashal (parable) of a Rabbi who needed tapes of his speeches made to sell so he asked 2 of his members to help make them, but he knew if he would ask them together, each one would say the other one is doing it so i don’t need to do it. Instead the Rabbi brought each one in separately & asked each one & was successful.) For when you depend on 2 you lose both.

Hatzlacha on your needs & open up your siddur. Hashem is waiting for your heartfelt tefillos & can’t wait to answer your true tefillos from the heart.

All of us have heard, read & seen tons of true stories of people who had their first child at 42 or had a sick child in critical condition, & then the doctor says i’m very sorry but your daughter has only 3 hours to live & then he comes back 2 hours later & says its really a miracle but your child is beginning to recover etc…. Why is it that they finally had a child & the child recovered? There could be tons of answers, but the most common answer Is a Pasuk we say 3 times a day in Davening. Hashem is close to all who call to him, to all who call out truthfully. (Tehillim 145)Because they cried out from their heart, they really meant what they were saying when they davened to H-shem to have a baby or for his daughter to recover etc…. there’s a reason we call Hashem, Avinu She’bashamayim (our father in heaven) Hashem loves us from a father to a son & is waiting to put his Shchina (presence) & his bais hamikdosh back in this world. If we really cried out for the Bais Hamikdosh from our heart with truth & show that we are missing it, then we wouldn’t still be in Golus today.

theres no need for your teenager child to have a cell phone while still in high school. s/he should be mature enough that if they go out of town they don’t need to call their parent every night-like a baby-before going to sleep, & for the times they need a phone (to send money or something else etc…) every school or yeshiva still has a payphone.

so why do our teenagers today need a cell phone? are they less mature then high school students were 20 years ago? if your gonna say anything about safety, theres an office & payphone that every school has to reach you child any time.

would love to know the full true story why a high school student of todays generation cant manage without a cell phone. we did it for hundreds of years with no issues

if you feel its too often or they are interferinmg in your personal life then hint it to them to please call before coming.

a easy hint to tell them is “you & your wife have certain times of night when you go out shopping or to dinner etc… can you please call before coming to make sure we are home & not out?” i think this should be very easy to tell them & would not be insulting to them at all. everyone has needs to go out at night (rather its reasons above or for a Simcha etc…)

in reply to: Borchu after Ma'ariv #1116212

is embarrassing enough for the person to say borchu after maariv, telling everyone he was a latecomer. but there’s no need to make it worse, the whole thing takes 10 seconds tops & what damage is he doing to the shul? if anything he is being mikadaish Hashem by causing tons of people to praise Hashem again for what the words mean & help other late comers besides himself make up for being late.

if it would cause people to show up late every day by shmone esrei & tell them i will make it up after davening with borchu, i would understand but this is only done when the person is accidently a minute or 2 late for whatever reason (hard time finding parking or stuck at a traffic light etc….)

as a personal customer service agent for a few companies myself. i would not call that customer service. your customer needs to feel appreciated for the business he gives you. with the terms you wrote YWN has it does not sound too caring but just short & to the point. sounds like this is it & if you don’t like it then get out of here or go to a different media website to advertise etc…

in my case you ask, then why is he currently the top republican? cause Americans of today’s generation of technology etc… are going so nuts that they will say if we vote for him we will get 4 more years of his entertainment talks etc… NOW THAT’S INSANE but this is how we are thinking these days….

may Hashem help everyone wake up & see which republican is REALLY talking with truth & meaning what he says etc… before its too late & elections happen.

in reply to: Tuition crises averted #1115009

    Karl is absolutely correct.

every person makes whatever Hashem says on Rosh Hashana, the difference is Hashem gave us each the gift of free will which means a person can make $50,000 this year honestly or $65,000 dishonestly & get 15k of damage to his house or car C”V

    THAT CHOICE IS YOURS

In the Torah in the Parsha of Shemitta & Yovel, Hashem Guarantees & promises anyone that if they keep these Halachos they will always be taken care of. (either by getting double in the Sixth year or even having extra) Where is Shemitta & Yovel TODAY in the Diaspora? Where can we find this when outside of Israel is not even responsible for these Halachos? The answer is Hashem promises anyone that if he runs his business with %100 honesty (coming to work on time & not even a minute late, never using your office time to check your personal needs or the news on the computer, paying your employees on time etc…) he is guaranteed to always have money & never have the need to struggle to make ends meet. This is where we are holding today, for those of us that have been-& still are- honest, from before the economy started going downhill in the beginning of the century. They are the people that are guaranteed to make it through the economy-even- when it crashes.
