“Most people that say BH don’t really mean it” I have been told numerous times.
I think that for sure they mean it.
And no it’s not obligatory, you say it if you want to thank Hashem that you are good (which I would want to do).

you know, you fellows remind me of a famous joke about the briskers, that one of them were wearing a tie, so the other brisker said to them “מאי האי”? so he answered him ‘you have to farshtay, I am choshesh that maybe I am an Amoleiki and then maybe mashiach will come, and will reveal to me that I really am an Amoleiki and thus will be able to be mekayem the mitzvah of killing Amoleik’…

And therefore, I ask you ppl, are you the crazy one’s? or maybe am I the crazy one?
What connection does this have to any of your lives? Are you guys Choshesh B’Sfeik Sfeika that maybe you guys or your spouses are really goyim, and not only that, maybe you are actually one of the שבעת העממים and thus your children will also be חלק מהשבעת העממים and therfore chayev misa?

please be so kind to explain to me the relevance to the above question!!

That is complete nonsense, of course it makes a diff. what you are or aren’t wearing.
why don’t you go to shul with khaki shorts?!
There is something called kavod. Now what makes something a kavod to where, is how the chachamim of our dor dress (and how they dont dress).
that’s it, no crazy aeronautical science.

    Dear Ben Ephraim.

I chas veshalom would not minimize the contribution of the briskers.
R’ Chaim said that R’ Akiva Eiger had 12 mehalchim in every sugya, and one of them were Gavra Cheftza, and thus we see that R’ Chaim never nade up Tzvei Dinim, rather R’ Chaim’s Chidush was, that he systemized these mehalchim into each and every sugya…

Now, If a person man or woman toivels in a mikvah, is he a chftza or is he still a gavrah??

    Benephraim

Neither of thee above is true.
The Briskers never made up Gavrah and Cheftza. look through out shas and rambam and youll find it.
And also tzvei dinim, it is practically in every 5th tosfos in shas. (4 those who know how learn a tosfos)

it is a משנה מפורשת במסכת אבות פ”ה משנה כא

to continue ones studies is not a rashi and not a rambam, rather, it is actually a גמ’ קידושין כט:
however, if a recall exactly the words of the rambam it went as follows.

    To mishnayos yid:

You seriously never understood my point.
My point is that I don’t think I am some holtzy shtoltzy yid who has all the right hashkofas.
    vehamaivin yavin.

Secondly, you don’t use the word “has” when you are talking in singular. ודו”ק היטב

I am not a posek, and it says that אחד שפסק ואינו הוה פוסק חייב מיתה.

Secondly, I am not a chashuve mashgiach to be saying all random hashkofik thoughts which fly through my head and is probably no true, and by doing so could חס ושלום lead eventually to a krum hashkafos.
And that is why I am merely saying poshut things, since I dont get the guy who started it why would he ask a bunch of bored poeple in the coffe room for a psak or a right hashkafa.

There again, I hope you DO understand!!
