sounds to me that you have normal children. Invest in childproof locks for your cabinets.

lowerourtuition11210Participantcharliehall: And Biden is so innocent?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantCharlie Hall: How many jewish people (let alone frum people) live in Engel’s district? I dont know if you noticed the number of jews in the bronx has been decreasing over the last 20 years.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantEvery shule should decide on there own what they should do. One size decisions does not fit all in the covid 19 situation.
lowerourtuition11210Participantdaasyochid: I am not godolhadorah. your power or deduction needs to be recharged.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantMay not be available where the OP lives.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantMeno: why do you consider this garbage?
OP: some add tofu.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantYes every state should be like NY……..hae a BliThering Idiot for Mayor of the largest city, a governor who looks in the mirror and says “Not me, it was Trump”.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI dont know of any organization. There may be private individuals who do it.
CA: I read the OP as not knowing TAG has an office in Lakewood.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI dont have a profile picture. It is not required.
lowerourtuition11210Participantn0mesorah: Stop relying on polls.2016 proved polls aren’t accurate. The only poll that is reliable is the tabulation on election day.
lowerourtuition11210Participantn0mesorah: and what did leading in the polls do for Hilary in 2016 except lead to a book entitled What Happened?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantIt’s not a crisis when there is a simple solution. Attend a yeshiva in america. You cant enter EY right now because of Covid 19. So look at home for a yeshiva.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantDid you contact mikvahusa (mikvahusa dot org)?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGenerally in US politics one does not challenge the incumbent that represents the same party.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI am not sure of the exact dates of when this new hashgachah opened but the letter signed by the 53 rabbonim recommending that the public not rely on this new hashgacha was dated Zayin Tamuz. While I am not sure why Rabbi Hoffman has not addressed the issue in print, 53 local rabbanim have addressed the issue head on. The letter can be found online at 5 towns central.com.
lowerourtuition11210Participantrational: Rabbi Hoffman has addressed this in the Parshas Pinchas edition of the 5 towns jewish times (front page article).
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantMy son’s close friend learns in Ohr Chodosh. The talmidim are very studious but they are not overburdened. My son’s friendcan only be described as a real mentsch.Rabbi Sonnenchein is the yonger brother of the Rabbi Sonenschein of Waterbury.

lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI dont know if its normal but i personally did
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantThey are some of the main reasons for Term Limits for Senators and Congresspeople. We cant rely on voters in their states or congrssional districts not vote them in.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantCH: Trump is not destroying the US. Nancy, crying Chuck and other democratic leaders are worse than Trump.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantSB: If you were not a resident I might have made a comment. Since you are a resident of the district then you can do something besides complaining in a forum where most people are not members of the district and cant do anything to help you.
lowerourtuition11210Participantthread name from NY-17 to NY 17th Congressional district
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantSB: Do you live in New York State?
lowerourtuition11210Participantcoffee addict: some chofetz chayim branches have gone white shirt
lowerourtuition11210Participantshnitzel bigot: do you realize that rabbi zweibel does not take a step without conferring with member(s) of the moetzes? If goyishe camps dont want to fight this restriction that is there business. While I personally am not sure that AJCO will prevail (as I dont know if camp is essential as a “religious” right), I also dont see how they are emphasizing anti semitic stereotypes. Were you also upset by the lawsuits in other states bought by the goyishe ministers?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantWhile I understand your reasoning, it is not “american jewry” campaigning for this. The camps joined together after consulting with medical professionals and others on how to conduct camps under the current conditions. I am also not sure if we should be in crisis mode like we were a few months ago.
lowerourtuition11210Participant“This is a complete failure for the Jewish community. Why are Jews so self defeating?” Almost 50% OF this district is African American. Do you really think there are that many more registered frum voters that didnt vote? Or just another person who doesn’t know the boundaries of the 9th district and its demographics?
June 24, 2020 10:59 am at 10:59 am in reply to: Why did NYC choose a Mayor like Bill De blasio? #1876022lowerourtuition11210ParticipantSimilar to the old saying about a prosecutor indicting a “ham sandwich”, all one generally needs to be elected Mayor of NYC is a (D) after his name and some previous name recognition in public service.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGH: No he misnagdim have not been missing the point. Do men wear heavy wool suits in the summer or a lighter material? Is that a litvish thing too? Maybe you should stop trying to shoe horn a hashkafa angle to a simple mode of dress.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantYserbius123: Who says we are not wearing masks. When social distancing is an option masks are not mandatory.
June 22, 2020 8:47 pm at 8:47 pm in reply to: The “New Normal” for Shul During the Yamim Noraim #1875363lowerourtuition11210ParticipantN0mesorah: and your psak is based on whom?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGH: I guess you were not around in the 1960’s when most men (jews and non jews alike) wore hats. It was common that those wearing fedoras switched to straw hats as they were lighter on the head then felt or beaver hats. Quite possibly there were more litvishe yidden in the 1960’s and they went with the normal cultural style prevalent in those times.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI would like to know if the bungalow colonies in the Catskills are opening this summer despite covid19? I would also like to know if ant bungalow colonies will not be opening up this summer.
I suggest you obtain a Sullivan County/ Orang County phone book or a “jewish catskills” yellow pages and start calling and researching youself. it will be the best way to answer your questions. I have friends who still rent bungalows and are planning to go to the catskills for this Shabbos.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGH: Did they make Straw Hats in “de Alte Heim”? It’s not a moderneshe thing. I remember most people (not just yidden) in the 1960’s wearing straw hats.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI dont wear straw hats because I dont like them. Personal choice. My sons make their own decisions. I am not sure if Breuer’s is a Tammuz to Elul hing or just following the old Memorial day to Labor day American tradition.
June 19, 2020 9:40 am at 9:40 am in reply to: Lost Talis and Tefilin in Maimonides Hospital #1874323lowerourtuition11210ParticipantDid you try calling the chaplain’s office or patient relations at MMC?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantQuay: Would you want someone with a BAL of .108 loose with a taser?
June 18, 2020 3:54 pm at 3:54 pm in reply to: Outdoor Dining Proscrpition in Halacha – Phase 2 Reopening #1874138lowerourtuition11210ParticipantReb Eliezer: But wasnt the seudas Haraah in the times of the gemoroh served outdoors to the aveilim?
June 18, 2020 10:21 am at 10:21 am in reply to: The “New Normal” for Shul During the Yamim Noraim #1873993lowerourtuition11210ParticipantCommonsaychel: At least Rabbi Dr. Glatt has both smicha and a medical degree backing up his opinions (even if you disagree with him). Unless you think that heading the infectious disease team at a major hospital makes him less qualified than Fauci.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantJoseph: to the lounge in the hot like the Brooklyn Marriott. O when I was a child going to the airport to watch the planes take off and land.
June 16, 2020 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm in reply to: The “New Normal” for Shul During the Yamim Noraim #1873248lowerourtuition11210ParticipantJoseph: I dont know why the rabbanim of the five towns have relaxed their views. They didn’t ask for my opinion.
lowerourtuition11210Participanthaimy: you wrote “we can’t even get our Shuls to be legally open, our sleepaway camps” . If we are being treated differently then other religions your question may have merit. However, at leastfor religious services and sleepaway camps we are being treated the same as everyone else. Do you think only the frum yidden have sleepaway camps in NYS?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantDo you know what training they are given when someone is legally intoxicated (BAL a reported .108)?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantYou know what happens when you “assume”. I dont think anyone has ever collected data on the Sloatsburg rest area minyanim. It would probably be better to use the Shul in Woodbourne. At least we have pictures from there.
