My rav finds something in the weekly sedra to tie into the simcha.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI have never seen anyone hide all the matzos. If this goes on in your house then yes I would lock them up to avoid this problem. Or do as I do…..I do not leave the dining room to wash. My children bring me the washing cup in a deep bowl so that i can wash at the table.
as to the shiur of hefsaik…….Shulchan Aruch Orech Chayim (166) The ramah says the time it takes to walk 22 amos.

lowerourtuition11210ParticipantThe one thing I don’t see in all these threads is the fact that the “chiyuv” of Ad dlo yada is brought in the hilchos of the seudas Purim…..why does everyone think one is allowed to walk around both on leil Yud Daled and during the entire day in this state?
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantYes and the relationship doesn’t matter nor whose side.
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantMaybe you shouldn’t use knives either because you might get a cut. Having had the experience of sitting in an ER with a child drying out from alcohol poisoning (and I personally do not drink) I have a great sensitivity to this issue. So yes I am more than just an “arm chair qurterback”.

lowerourtuition11210ParticipantSpeak to any hatzoloh member who has driven a teenager to the ER for alcohol poisoning. The RAMAH, also quoted in the aruch hashulchan that one is yotza AD DLO ADA by falling asleep. Once again one can use wine and not hard liquor to come to ad dlo yada.

February 19, 2019 12:02 pm at 12:02 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1681901lowerourtuition11210ParticipantReb G. – in my youth I attended a shul with seats as CTL described, and rights to the seat were decided by the shuls Board of Directors to be that the seat with your name is yours and you have the right to ask someone to please move to another empty seat. So simply put, it depends what the board of directors decided when they sold the seats. In the shul where I presently daven, a person purchases his seat for the year and that seat is reserved shabbos or Yom Tov morning until yishtabach (again decided by the board).
lowerourtuition11210ParticipantGH: I can state that the mood of the gabbai in my shul has nothing to do with deciding on aliyot. The gabbai keeps track of who received aliyot
for the year. He reviews his list and decides based on who may not have been in shul for a few weeks and those who did not have an aliyah for a significant amount of time. If a mispallel has a chiyuv for an aliya he is welcome to remind the gabbai about it and will be included in the list of those receiving aliyot. On a yom tov, the kibuddim are sold except if their is an absolute chiyuv (yahrtzeit) or someone whose wife gave birth or the avi haben or sandek for a bris and that number of aliyot are not sold.lowerourtuition11210ParticipantI have heard that R’ Moshe Sherer Tzatzal always wore white shirts based on the passuk in koheles (9:8)

lowerourtuition11210ParticipantFrom NYC Traffic rules Section 4-08:
(5) Bus parking on streets prohibited. No person shall park a bus at any time on any street
within the City of New York, unless authorized by signs, except that a charter bus may park
where parking is otherwise permitted at its point of origin or destination. No operator of a bus
shall make a bus layover, except as otherwise provided in §4-10(c) of these rules.
Notwithstanding any local law or rule to the contrary, but subject to the provisions of the Vehicle
and Traffic Law, it shall be permissible for a school bus owned, used or hired by a public or
nonpublic school to park at any time, including overnight, upon any street or roadway, provided
said bus occupies a parking spot in front of and within the building lines of the premises of the
