Perhaps it ties into the idea of the way the son or daughter of the King of all kings should dress, as Bnei Melech Malchei Hamelachim, we must represent that in the way that we look. Similarly to white shirts is the idea of jean/denim. We dress as we would before a king – always, and we would want to look clean and pure before Him… just an idea..
lovinghalachaMemberPure unappreciated Lashon Hara against such a respectable yeshiva..

But as someone previously mentioned, it IS a control thing. I would suggest to view it as a nisayon, see how long you can hold out, try and overcome the teiva before just giving in. Play a game in your mind, challanging the yetzer back- showing him who is in control. Not that this is something major, but to show the yetzer hara that if something more major should come up you are up for the challange, you have practiced!! If you are still having debates perhaps ask your Rav if it would be considered breaking a Neder. Dont forget – one slip doesnt mean forget the entire thing! Just bounce right back into it. Am yisroel relates to people like you who face these challanges daily, in this manner and in many others. Am yisroel thrives on a challenge – go for it, put the yetzer to shame! Hatzlacha!
lovinghalachaMember‘Knowledge is power’ – school is where you are meant to be now so try and make the best of it!! Don’t let the stress get to you and make you cynical toward something that is mundane and constant in your life. Much Hatzlocha!
lovinghalachaMemberAndroid is great. Battery isnt too long on it though but the battery on any new phone with a data plan wont be good.

lovinghalachaMemberA college student can charge 30$ for 30 minutes?
lovinghalachaMemberEverything is Byadei Shomayim, so if this is GD’s plan it will happen no matter what, and if C”V someone’s family should be injured as a result of one of these terrorist’s yimach shmam being released it will happen anyway, no? So atleast it should be at the price of a poor Jewish boy who is suffering in shiabud. Lifi aniyus da’asi.. let him have the chance to sit in a sukkah and enjoy whatever of his life he has left (that is assuming he is alive – IS HE?).
lovinghalachaMemberRight or wrong, it is an unfortunate situation. Something needs to be done to correct it in the way it will cause least possible damage. Would you advise talking to that particular family member before or after discussing it with parents?
lovinghalachaMemberThanks for all the advice, I think the situation did spiral out of hand when it went from a friendship to possibly something more then what it was initially supposed to be. If that is the case, what would the next steps be?
lovinghalachaMemberThen what can be done when feelings develop as a result of a platonic relationship for a family member?
