My advice is if you have tangible skills be prepared to be taken advantage of. For some odd reason highly educated people assume technical tradesman chose jobs that are more enjoyable, so it must be a real joy to work on their HVAC for free as a mitzvah in the dead of summer.

This is not an isolated case, every car problem, HVAC problem, electrical problem a you had I’m my community I’m receiving calls year round for help with no offers if pay. It’s shameful, if you do this to the handy person in your shul, make tshuvah this year because it is an awful thing to do to a person and you are obviously a Baal geivah to think you are above paying someone for skilled labor.

I was a mechanic for years, every one assumes I will help them for free.

It’s nice being asked to do HVAC, automotive, plumbing for free but yet the CPA, lawyers and doctors all demand a charge when asked for help/advice.

A bit of advice, remain ignorant on these things or at least pretend to because you’ll be expected to do a lot of free work for people that can afford to pay for it.

Wow the same old guard morons that wanted to force us into the ghettos are now trying to infiltrate them.

It’s a shame they are so insecure with their beliefs, the amount of effort they attempt others to join in that nonsense is astonishing.

As yidden are considered “white adjacent” why should a lack of media coverage be considered to be any surprise?

Yidden are considered “white adjacent”, the propaganda machine has no interest in reporting on this. It doesn’t fit any useful narrative.

    n0mesorah:

There are a few yeshivish men at the MO shul I attend, then a few other ChaBaDniks who do so as well. I just don’t want to appear as a Baal Gavaah, or worse. Is there an unspoken benchmark for when a gever can or can wear a hat? Keeping my gerus in mind may I begin and hold this minhag for my family mesorah?

I was thinking about getting a bellissimo hat, the lower profile rim of the “fox” looks really sharp.

When I ask my Rav what he thinks I’ll reply on this thread. Everyone stay safe. ב״ה

I have been studying a bunch I’m sorry about the late reply.

The reason for me wanting to convert is I cannot imaging going through this life with out actually performing a mitzvah as a proper yid. The Yesod of this entire universe lay in the holy Torah and this is an amazing truth!

Deep down I cannot explain why I want to be Shomer Torah U’Mitzvos it is a deep compulsion that has surprised even myself.

I am working with a proper Frum beis din that has yiras HaShamayim. I don’t see how I’m trolling Mr. Coffee addict.

I was curious to see what people’s sentiments were on this forum so thank you for all the responses!

    Good Shabbos everyone!
