Yerushalmi: I think that’s a fabulous idea.

JosephParticipantMembers of sports teams display conformity as do military personnel. Businessmen used to too.
In Eretz Mitzrayim we refused to change our names, language and clothing. There was conformity.
Does this have them do with ????? ??????

If this rov is his rov as in aseh lecho rav, then this is the rov he needs to ask this shaila, especially as this is a major life event (forcing to change the rav of aseh lecho rav).
JosephParticipantMenachem, so how does the date find out that it’s over?
August 10, 2014 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm in reply to: Girl I want to get engaged to wants me to change my Rabbi #1047112JosephParticipantAseh Lecho Rav. You need one Rav who is your go-to for all life’s major questions. Do not deviate. And as your Rav what to do in this case.
JosephParticipantDidn’t Yitzchok Avinu get engaged before his first date?
JosephParticipantIs there any different protocol or societal expectation (in the yeshivishe community) about telling in person if it were the girl deciding to break it off rather than the guy?
JosephParticipantMobico, which and whose minhag yisroel? Where is this brought down and how old is it?
JosephParticipantHow does it typically go in the yeshivishe world after a couple date for a while? Does it typically go through the shadchan, if one side decides to break it off, or typically the girl will call the guy (or vice versa) or it could go either way?
JosephParticipantSam, do single women tend to forget yaale vyovo or is it married women who tend to forget?
JosephParticipantI’m having the same problem today. Didn’t have this issue previously.
JosephParticipantThere are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don’t.
JosephParticipantbym: Sam is correct. There isn’t anything wrong with discussing the particulars of the various legal parameters required to fulfil this obligation. In fact it is a necessary topic.
JosephParticipantHow do you delete a page if there was a divorce cv and now every time someone googles either of the couples name, the OS engagement/wedding page is one of the top results? (And the person who created the page is not family and you have no contact with her and she no longer has her os login.) Are you forever stuck having an engagement/wedding page as a top result for google searches?
JosephParticipantWhen you’re 25 and he’s 23 no one will think twice about the age difference.
JosephParticipantIt’s also normal in the modern O world for a girl to be two years older. And in the secular world. So where *isn’t* it normal?
