Avram in the CR: I thought that you were telling us a story. Once I got to hour, I was confused. Then I realized that you must have dropped all of your bricks just to get home. Which is why you’ve never talked about this job before today.

Dunno if we are a representative sample of everyone in the CR.

But I do know that knitting sweaters is a great way to keep your hands busy.

Generally speaking… In modern society, women typically turn their pain inward, against themselves. Depression. Eating disorders. Cutting. Acting out in relationships.

Men on the other hand are more likely to turn outward, turn to drugs/substances, and act out with more risk-taking behaviors and overt aggression.

yytz: AFAIK, LU was not talking about eating chocolate for its health benefits in tiny pieces. It also has a lot of caffeine, at least the healthy stuff, which also has an effect. But I digress.

When she means chocolate, I am guessing that she means CHOCOLATE. I’ve known chocolate. At those times, no one would ever think to tell me that such chocolate was a healthy thing. It’s a whole nother chocolate experience.

    Good point overall 🙂

RebYidd23 love… Don’t you worry. Women do get their chance at killing themselves slowly.

<<<I live in a glass house though so that’s it for me.>>

    Peace 🙂

LU is surely just calming yellow down, and reminding her that you still care.

Thanks LU for being so good to yellow <3

Sorry RebYidd23, even if yellow is visiting LU, she’s probably talking about how much she still loves and misses you.

You two were such good friends and surely Hashem will reunite your souls someday.

Did you write more than 1000 words? Maybe yellow is related to word count?

ZD: How does Superman have Jewish roots?

    LU: Excellent point!

“Superpowers” assumes that the power comes directly from the person who was gifted with some additional force without attributing it to holiness, or Hashem, and/or conquering the yetzar ha tov, b’esrat Hashem.

Can a teacher ask a boy, who is your hero?

…And he may say, Yaakov or my tatti/aba/father/dad?

Or ask a girl who is your hero?

… And she may say Leah or my mame/ema/mother/mom?

Hi Wolf, sorry that I hurt you.

I do not know how good of an apology this is/will be.

I want to apologize to you as a human.

For my own emotional safety (this may not be an issue for you, but as you may already know, for me this is a heated topic), I can no longer go into what was said and etc.

What I can do, of course, is apologize for hurting you. I do not want to cause anyone, including you, suffering with my words. That is not okay.

I am sorry and hope that you can forgive me. Also, I realize that instead of chiming in on a discussion between you and another poster, I can instead guard my tongue. In retrospect, you’ve been posting here for many years. You and Joseph probably have a rapport, and I don’t know your backstory, nor enough about you to gauge your tone. I really jumped in with heat and it was inappropriate. You got offended, understandably, and I really mean it when I said that I am sorry.

I even discussed this thread with my therapist last week, and didn’t come back to it until reading LU’s message to me on another thread. I am glad that I did come back because it gave me the chance to reach out to you in peace.

    Please forgive me.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Lightbrite

I think I know what thread(s) you are referring to and really appreciate that. Thus far I haven’t gone back and do not plan on it because it got really tense and it was best imho to disengage, esp since it was emotionally heavy and it kept turning into miscommunication.

Point is… thank you. That means a lot to me,

    Bad advantage.

    Is this a redundancy?

How do you feel about “young boy”? It’s redundant but sounds better in a story than boy. Then again, there could be an older boy or a young[er] boy.

To take advantage does not have to be so bad, I guess. If someone’s yetzar hara ran wild, then yes.

Thus… I think that I answered my question.

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

It was not redundant. It was specific.

    A+++ Joseph
