I said that some rabbonim and tzaddikim are pro-beautiful-sheitels.

I learn Torah while driving, walking my dog, and even cleaning my house thanks to my smartphone’s capabilities. That of course wasn’t something that I could do before getting a smartphone.
As for the internet, ummm yes it def does a wonderful job Baruch Hashem –I post a lot from my phone.
Also it’s wonderful for emails.
Final thing, can you get Whatapp without a smartphone? That’s been a lifesaver here and in EY (thanks to the CR for that recommendation <3 )

Smartphones have been a blessing for me. Being able to use Google Maps to navigate actually helped me learn where I am in real life in relation to where I need to travel. For me it is assistive technology. Furthermore now I don’t have to pull over who knows where to ask some stranger where to go. Which often is not exact anyway.
So yes. To me they are valuable. And this is only one reason why.
Thank you.
May 2, 2017 9:22 am at 9:22 am in reply to: Did Rachel come to Jacob only seven days after Jacob married Leah? #1267659LightbriteParticipantIt fits! Yay π Thanks grammar ninjas π
So now we know that seven days after Jacob married Leah, he married Rachel. Jacob then worked for Laban for seven more years to earn Rachel.
I heard that in general marrying Rachel and getting Leah is a metaphor about how we really never marry the person we think we are marrying because people are different once married and living together (maybe it is the spiritual fusion?)
What does this story mean spiritually? That in order to get back the connection that happened when things were new, we have to work for it? Labor to stay connected with our true love and soulmate?
And Leah is always there because she is the vulnerable fertile self whose presence is just as necessary even if it does not always feel that way?
What did you learn about the lessons here?
Thank you βΊ
In the future you can just ask for the title to be changed. No need to start a new thread.

LightbriteParticipantLilmod Ulelamaid, I am concerned that any sentence may be taken as offensive and/or racist even with good intentions. To me it sounds weird.
Even “Little Jews” (okay I know that doesn’t follow the second letter rules for this game, but to make a point)… Little Jews need every vow of ….. or Little Sephardim/Ashkenazim/Israelis need every vow of…. it’s generalizing. If I don’t feel comfortable talking like this IRL, I also don’t want to participate in it online.

Kinot are said during mourning on Tisha B’Av.

LightbriteParticipantYou’re right RebYidd23! Bamba is not the same as cheese curls. If you’re not allergic to peanuts, it’s a better snack.
Just remembered why I went to Bamba’s website in the first place. To score up the ingredients. But since finding them turned into a maze, I got them from Fooducate instead. I also got info on Herr’s Cheese Curls Baked.
Fooducate even grades them! And Bamba came out on top π
Bamba: Grade B-
“Peanuts, Corn, Palm Oil, Salt, Vitamins [C (Ascorbic Acid), B3 (Niacinamide), E (Tocopheryl Acetate), B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride), B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate), A (Acetate), Folic Acid, B12], Iron (Ferrous Sulphate), Rosemary Extract.” (Fooducate)
Herr’s Cheese Curls Baked: Grade D
Corn Meal, Vegetable Oil (One or More of the Following: Partially Hydrogenated Soybean, Corn, Cottonseed), Whey, Cheddar Cheese (Pasteurized Cultured Milk, Salt, Enzymes), Maltodextrin, Butter (Cream, Salt, Annatto Extract), Nonfat Dry Milk, Salt, Buttermilk, Disodium Phosphate, Monosodium Glutamate, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Natural Flavors, Artificial Colors (Including Yellow 5, Yellow 6), and Tocopherol.
Do they make Cholov Yisroel cheese curls? I found pareve ones by Kitov.
Wait, in light of this information, why not make macaroni and peanut sauce a regular thing, instead of macaroni and cheese?
Thanks π

LightbriteParticipantWow thank you Nechomah!!! π Now I have a better understanding of what it means to have a photographer and videographer at the wedding. It could be the first time the kallah sees what it was like. The chasson too.
Thank you ~ it’s so sweet to get a glimpse into what it feels like to be up there!
LightbriteParticipantWow!
LightbriteParticipantOMGOSH!!! Bamba with Halva Cream Filling!
No way! Now that’s yummy! Maybe way too yummy. Sometimes it’s a relief to live in chul because I have less food temptations. Seriously in Israel everything tastes better!
On another note: Anyone with a peanut allergy can still enjoy Sweet Bamba. It’s strawberry π
Today I learned a lot!
LightbriteParticipantWhy isn’t Bamba not a peanut butter version of cheese curls?
I love pad a veggie pad thai, peanut sauce and peanuts on top and all.
I just Googled it and Gan Asia in NY serves a Kosher Pad Thai. It’s a Glatt Kosher restaurant whose logo is a robot pulling an umbrella carriage! Who would have thought?! So cute! π

There’s a back veil? That’s news to me. I thought that it kind of covers the head so it falls in the front. I didn’t realize that there are two sides.
