Ooops I may have accidentally deleted 10 before pressing send. It was about cleaning the hair from a regular upright vacuum spinner brush, and how that’s a chore.

But Roomba is fun and easy.

Wait I just read an article by Israeli researcher Gadi Borkow, which cites relevant studies showing the copper pillowcases did significantly improve the skin texture of participants compared to the control (2014, NCBI – Nat. Library of Medicine – Nat. Institute of Health (NIH)).

Just pulled out the copper pillowcase from my online shopping cart before completing my order. It was so tempting!

How do we know if something is wonderful or snake oil? Some things are evidence-based. I don’t know. The robot vacuum is simply amazing! Before getting it, it sounded all hyped. But the hype was so on-point.

Maybe it works for some and not for others?

You said that you wear flats walking to shul, but is that enough support? Roads are so hard. Maybe these shoes are simply worn out, and a newer pair would help. Even so, is this life for the nicely dressed woman?

Do really really rich women, who buy and wear whatever shoes they desire, also find their shoes, pumps, flats, wedges uncomfortable to walk in?

    Thank you ☺

From NASA – FAQ Eclipse 2017:

“Isn’t this β€˜safety’ issue about eclipse viewing, a bit overblown?

Absolutely not! Everyone needs to be reminded that eyes never evolved on Earth to look at the sun without suffering severe damage. We have many built-in reflexes to prevent this. There are no higher organisms on this planet that can do so and not run an enormous risk of being blinded. Most of the time, astronomers are anxious for you to look at the sky and deeply enjoy the sights that you see. There is never a disclaimer that this is dangerous. The ONLY exception is in viewing solar eclipses. It is an inherently dangerous activity that you have to do very carefully in order not to suffer eye damage. There are specific steps you can take, based on the experience of thousands of professionals, not only in astronomy but in medicine. So, bottom line: read the safety warnings and make sure you understand how to view the eclipse before August 21, 2017 so that the only lasting impression you have is a wonderful memory of the event, not a damaged retina!” (NASA)

Kitov: When the person from the power company came to my home to give me tips on how to be more energy efficient, I was told to keep all of my doors open, so the A/C would flow from room to room.

On the contrary, having to cool and heat compartmentalized spaces requires more work for the ducts to reach each room’s nooks and crannies.

Maybe in some homes where there are unused rooms, and less ducts? But for me, the more open my spaces, the more efficient my central air system – B”H for central air!

Thank you. ☺ Yes the question is about preferences and tastes, disregarding home size. Just what is their dream house?

When they search for their dream home, starter home, whatever home, what do they want to see? What floor plan do they most like? Hope for? Pray for?

I watched one of those house buying shows and the couple said that they were looking for a house with walls, and definitely didn’t want an open floor plan. The show host said that they might be the first young couple, or couple their age, that isn’t looking for an open floor plan.

I thought about it. I definitely like the idea of a Great Room. Closed kitchens make it easier for me to eat more, and feel isolated, which facilitates more eating.

On the other hand, I do like rooms where I can work and then shut the door. It’s nice to be able to separate spaces with those boundaries. At the same time, not too many rooms or walls. But this is just me now, as one human. Who knows for later,

    Thank you πŸ™‚

Wow. I’m a bit offended by the whole “led like sheep to a slaughter,” because that’s a great misconception about what happened. That said, at least right now in my life, I have more pressing priorities and basic needs to meet before thinking about investing in arming myself.

    I hear you though!!!

How realistic is survival if one shoots? Won’t someone else just come after? And then someone else? Or one could get a hurt in the process and then what? Go to the hospital where it’s also not safe?

I feel like hiding, moving, and/or changing one’s identity would be less risky in the long-term.

    Sometimes I compliment them.

And sometimes I judge myself afterward, like “Am I promoting superficiality? What if she was perfectly fine and now she feels good about her outfit and associates the good feeling with clothing?”

Or, “Omgosh what am I wearing? If I’m dressing all nebach [I use a different word in my thoughts – “scrubby”] then will she be insulted when I say that I like her style of clothing because maybe she won’t want someone like me to like her clothing?”

Actually thank you for now I see that at least the second thought is really probably not an issue, since she probably won’t even remember me but more of how she felt and what I said.

I don’t think things are expected of you other than genuinely complimenting a bride on her wedding day.

Positive vibes! Seriously I have this pair of black sunglasses with dark lenses and looking through them is depressing.

I strictly wear rose-colored lenses, or lense in the Happy family because they make life brighter.

If depression is more likely wearing non-rose-colored lenses, then that would mean I would be more susceptible to the yatzar hara. Spiritually speaking, rose-colored lenses help me stay on the side of the yetzar tov ☺ Baruch Hashem.

Joseph: “We Jews – whatever we gained was not gained by forcing. It was not gained by burning down cities.”

Really now? What about the whole Moses said “Let my people go!” Story? Where plagues were brought. First borns died! There wasn’t any law that we could work with so we plowed through on Hashem’s wing.

Who says Hashem wasn’t backing up the Civil Rights movement?

I’m not advocating violence. But I am disagreeing with your claim that we Jews would never do such a thing as force justice.

Are you saying that some babies are born already knowing of certain awareness movements, such as the Movement to Oppose Buttered Popcorn that’s not Cholov Yisroel [because it causes too many rifts in the world, especially klal Yisrael], or the Movement to Protect Peanuts from Airplanes [because it’s about time someone stood up for peanuts, including those allergic yet sympathetic persons]?

If so, is it because the babies moms read to them while they were in the womb?

As long as babies are being born, ignorance will exist and we need the awareness movement to keep teaching the youth of today about being aware.

My parents grew up in Israel. My dad’s parents had an ice box when he was young, before getting a fridge. Actually, he has a really cute story about when his family first got a telephone. It was controlled by the government, so people had to wait for them.

My mom’s parents literally pioneered in their town. The house my grandpa built for his family was one of the early stations where Jews set up to guard against opposition. I forgot the word. It was before there was a military like we know today. And Jews set up defense operations out of people’s homes when Israel was still young.
