Shoe store assistant, my childhood was long before 20 years ago. My parents managed on chinuch salaries; our standard of living was quite simple, and we truly did not have luxuries. Some of our clothing was hand-me-downs, but we always had Shabbos shoes, the same way we had Shabbos clothing.
