Can’t help you there, but I’m wishing you hatzlachah!
November 18, 2014 2:54 am at 2:54 am in reply to: Please help- Dvar Torah for Parshas Toldos #1042462Letakein GirlParticipantWow, #poster! That must have taken a while to type up. Thank you so much! Even if I don’t end up using it, you just did a major chessed- I’m jealous of your Schar.
Does anyone have a Dvar torah with a practical lesson that can be brought out?
Letakein GirlParticipantLittlefishy,
Bli neder, I will try to find out.
Letakein GirlParticipantWhat does it mean that your school is “special?”
What sem do you want the contact info for? I’ll try to find it for you. Maybe try googling for it, cuz I’m not sure the nods will let me post the info…
November 17, 2014 4:34 am at 4:34 am in reply to: #Dating a guy who works a behind the counter job #1044225Letakein GirlParticipantGoq, you’re amazing!
November 17, 2014 1:12 am at 1:12 am in reply to: #Dating a guy who works a behind the counter job #1044214Letakein GirlParticipantThat’s very judgemental of you, #poster… I’m surprised, because I always thought of you as a logical and kind person.
Letakein GirlParticipantSpeak to your school about it. They are supposed to arrange everything…
Letakein GirlParticipantWow Sidi, that was really clear and informative! Too bad you didn’t post that when I joined… 🙂
I think the whole “we” thing is a gimmick.
Letakein GirlParticipantThey are not instantly updated because every single post has to be approved by a moderator before being shown.
Please do not feel the need to post on every single thread! If you’re human, you won’t be knowledgable in every single subject that a thread is centered on, so the logical course of action would be to post only if you have something funny, interesting, or enlightening to add.
Welcome to the cr, btw.
Letakein GirlParticipantWannabechassidish,
I also always have something due at school. The diff between us is that while you do the schoolwork, i do other stuff, cuz I feel like i wanna have a life outside of school, ya know? And now my issue is that there is nothing to do, thus leading to my feeling like I have no life.
November 16, 2014 4:52 am at 4:52 am in reply to: Is the Coffee Room always less active during the school semester/zman? #1105826Letakein GirlParticipantAnd people’s lives are very active. BH!
Letakein GirlParticipantBump l’toeles harabbim.
Letakein GirlParticipantNo, it’s on torahanytime.com, and it’s called Parshat Chayei Sarah “The Pearl Necklace”
Enjoy!
Letakein GirlParticipantThree cheers for sea salt and vinegar chips!!!
Letakein GirlParticipantRabbi Wallerstein discussed this in a recent shiur, entitled “The Pearl Necklace.”
The Chiddah is in Parshas Chayei Sarah, perek ??.
Letakein GirlParticipant🙂 im so happy you enjoyed that song! It really is beautiful…
Can’t think of any more like it right now, but I definitely will post if I think of one!
Letakein GirlParticipant“Descriptions under your title” are added by the moderators of this site. If you have a specific idea, write a post that says “FOR MOD READ!!!!” as a heading, and if they like it, they’ll add it. It’s called a subtitle, btw.
Welcome to the cr! Always great to see new faces around here. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantShopping:
On some days the workload is insane, while on others there’s nuthin to do. For example, this past Sunday I was so bored- had nuthin to do, so I ended up watching movies.
The other side of the coin- on Monday, I ended school at five thirty, then went to do my mandatory chessed (as assigned by my school.) I got home at seven fifteen. Then I had an essay to write, a really hard test to study for, a few Pesukim to prepare for Chumash class, math homework, four quizzes to study for, and a lab assignment. All of which was assigned that very day! Ok, the test wasn’t, but I don’t wanna spend my Sunday studying for a test in advance- that’s just wrong! 🙂
As for the things you suggested I do in my spare time… I dunno. None of them sound particularly enticing, to be honest.
PAA-
Your theory is so true!
Letakein GirlParticipantI had a discussion about this with my friends the other day. We all agreed that frum teens these days have nothing to do on the spare time, which doesn’t lead to such great things…
I watch movies often, simply because there is nothing else to do! I’m not the kind of person that enjoys talking to my friends on the phone, I’m not a good enough person to do chessed (visit people at hospitals kind of thing) in my free time, and I don’t have little siblings to take care of. So seriously, what am I supposed to do besides for watch movies?
Ya know, that’s one of the reasons why I love the cr. It provides kosher entertainment.
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, KC sounds like a dream come true! I really want to go to it after reading cozimjewish’ post.
I’m guessing you wanna go too, cozimjewish?
November 12, 2014 12:49 am at 12:49 am in reply to: Phrases that are offensive to our fellow creatures #1042671Letakein GirlParticipantShut up!
🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantI love the Delicious series.
Letakein GirlParticipantEvery morning in my school, we have a shiur for a few minute before davening. My principal introduces the speaker, and then sits down on a chair in the front of the room.
One morning, she introduced the speaker and then went to sit down. Her chair was broken, and she fell right through! Her feet were sticking up in the air, and EVERYONE saw! She later told me that was probably the most embarrassing moment in her entire life. Poor thing!
The funniest part is, she had noticed that the chair was broken before, and asked a girl to take it to a side room so that no one will sit on it without realizing, but the girl had forgotten, apparently…
Letakein GirlParticipantReally awful… I was really stressed out over some stuff, so I bit my nails and the skin around em a lot. I’m really disappointed. 🙁
How was yours, Sidi? It’s amazing that you’ve been able to keep this up for so long. I’m really impressed!
Letakein GirlParticipantMazal tov!
May you be zoche to build a bayis ne’eman b’yisrael, and have children that give both you and Hashem nachas.
Im so happy for you. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, thank you so much, bp yidd, LF, and BTGuy!
As my subtitle says, I am a work in progress, and your encouragement gave me the chizzuk I need to keep trying to become the person Hashem wants me to be.
Thank you!
Letakein GirlParticipantAnd I’m really impressed by your apology.
It must have been so hard for you to post that- from what I’ve seen, it goes completely against your personality. Hashem is shepping nachas right now. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantOf course I forgive you!
and viyoel too. But I still haven’t dropped the Me, Myself, and I theory. 😉
Letakein GirlParticipantThat was beautiful, LF.
You amaze me.
Letakein GirlParticipantSiDi, I really hope you won’t leave the cr… We’ll miss your eloquent, intelligent, and thoughtful posts. Your refinement shines through your every post, and in today’s world, that is something quite unusual.
Wishing you much hatzlachah!
Letakein GirlParticipantAnd the deluge of seminary threads begins….
Letakein GirlParticipantWill your imaginary kids be there, too? How lovely.
DFTT Alert!
Letakein GirlParticipantI’m not married.
Have a good day, lamud vov.
November 2, 2014 11:46 pm at 11:46 pm in reply to: Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? #1039132Letakein GirlParticipantSiDi, it’s true… Jewish song lyrics tend to be rather awful. I like the melody to this song, though.
Bp yidd- by saying “it wasn’t a fact it was a statement”, do you mean to say that you lied?
Ugh, I don’t have patience dealing with you anymore. Have a great life!
Letakein GirlParticipantReally? What a nice friendship.
Two people with the same obnoxious personality, the same tendency to hijack threads by sticking random chassidish thoughts in, the same lack of social skills, the same lack of punctuation in most posts.
Is this a case of Me, Myself, and I are friends?
Letakein GirlParticipantSiDi, probably outa stress.
As someone mentioned above, it’s easier to drop a habit if you replace it with something else. Let’s try to come up with something…
Letakein GirlParticipantI don’t know a source min HaTorah for this, but my teacher says its to prevent out husbands from “eyeing other women.”
Letakein GirlParticipantSo glad you’re feeling better, SiDi. BH!
November 2, 2014 12:35 pm at 12:35 pm in reply to: Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? #1039121Letakein GirlParticipantLol, my previous post was written before reading any other threads, like the one in which Bp is accused by 29 of being viyoel and vayoel.
I read one post, and I immediately recongnized his obnoxious style of posting. 🙂 I am so cool.
Letakein GirlParticipantI’m am SO glad I’m not a mouse after reading this thread!
😉
Letakein GirlParticipantNitpicking, nitpicking…
Letakein GirlParticipantOmg, WHO do you think you’re kidding?!
Welcome back, viyoel, vayoel, and now bp yidd. 😉
November 2, 2014 12:20 pm at 12:20 pm in reply to: Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? #1039120Letakein GirlParticipantBp Yidd’s post reminds me of another username…
Any relation to viyoel?
Or vayoel?
Letakein GirlParticipantOh well… Hashem loves you for trying! We’ll do it next time. 🙂
Letakein GirlParticipantHow was Shabbos, Sidi and Syag?
BH, I made it through clean! I had to stop myself several times, though…
Letakein GirlParticipantI agree with #poster. This issue is important enough to require Daas Torah. Speak to one of your rebbeim about it!
Letakein GirlParticipantWow, thank you so much, Eftach! It’s such a gorgeous song…
Letakein GirlParticipantWhat do you mean by “clean content videos”?
Do you mean clean movies? (Probably not.)
Letakein GirlParticipantI meant k’siva, not lsiva.
Letakein GirlParticipantSo…
You planning on getting married someday? Cuz wives tend to be female.
Please don’t tell me you’re already married.
