There is a known gemora in Sanhedrin about erev pesach on ישו, known as an acronym, hanotzri being announced thirty days before to provide defense for him and a play on the name of the apostles that was censured out.

Could be that we only fast on Asara Beteveis on yom shishi as Rebbi Yochanan himself said by Tisha Beav, אתחלתא דפרעניות עדיף, the start of the punishment is greater. The destruction of the Beis Hamikdash emanated 30 moths later from the siege of Jerusalem. We even would have to fast on shabbos if it could fall on it.

The Kohen would not come first in that case but only to avoid machlokes he always is called up first, so by pikuach nefesh the talmid chacham would certainly come first.

We ask Hashem to make the Torah sweeter than honey to us. Eating honey brings to a desire for more. If one understands the Torah, it should generate a desire for more learning. The Torah learning should bring us joy. BTW, your ‘then’ is misspelled as you don’t mean that you want honey afterwards.

HaLeiVi, we are not talking about the feeling through the act of touching where it describes the verb but where a sense with no act is involved. To me saying, I feel well means that when I touch something I can feel the item I am touching.

Avira, I agree the extra mitzvos make him mekudash, sanctified over her. He is not born as kadosh. The GRA says that the father through his circumcision sacrifices his son as a korban after the eight day but she does not need it.

Maybe, it starts from the mitzvos. Since the woman has less mitzvos as the Kol Bo, he becomes more holy from her and not vice versa that because he is holier he has more mitzvos.

The Rambam’s view by kadima is not because of holiness but because of the number of mitzvos. Rav Moshe ztz’l paskens because of holiness.

The gemora Berochos 33, says גדולה דעת שניתן בין שמות שנאמר א-ל דעות השם, understanding is great which was given between to shemos El and Hashem. My Rebbi, Rav Shmuel ztz’l, the Matersdorfer Rav explains that when both individuals utter the name of Hashem, we need special understanding to be able to differentiate who is true in one’s belief and who is fake and says it just to look good and be respected. We make havdala in the bracha of ata chonen, understanding as understanding is required to differentiate,

541 is the same as gematria of the word ישראל. Some interpret it as the chelek alokai mimaal, neshama that brings one tם the next world and we need the cooperation of all Jews, כהן, לוי, ישראל. The Chasan Sofer explains that one can feel the taste of olam habo, the next world in this world as shabbos and other mitzvos and that is the meaning of yesh over yihyeh besides the shay, 310 worlds.

inquisitive, I am sorry about your experiences but you can have your cake and eat it. People who dress up and behave properly should be respected. The Chasam Sofer did not require the growing of a beard. The Rambam in Hilchas Yesodei Hatorah (5,11) says that a talmid chacham generates an expected behavior. If he does not live up to it, it becomes a chilul Hashem.

This is called by the holy Zohar nehameh dekesufa, bread of shame. That is the reason why the neshama comes to this world to earn its keep and not get a free handout.

The Chasam Sofer stood up against the maskilim and was able to protect the yeshivas. He believed that we cannot sit by and learn when they are in danger. Rav Moshe’s psak of accommodating is tailored towards his audience of Lita who were influenced there.

Philosopher, I was born in Sopron, Hungary. As you are not Hungarian, so it sounds like that to you but Hungarian is not English where everything is always pronounced the same way. The accent is always placed in the beginning. They have double letters cs, gy, ly, ny, sz, ty and zs. They are always pronounced the same way. The are vowels without dots or dashes which are pronounced one way and vowels with one dash and two dashes, one dot or two dots pronounced a different way. For example, an o with two dots or two dashes are pronounced differently and change the meaning. There are sounds that are not available in English but available in German.

What is the gemora’s answer when Benjamin still received more, so Yosef showed favoritism? The GRA explains that what Benjamin received was the same in value given to him only to be meramez, imply the elevation of Mordechai in the future and how great he will become as the dictum maaseh avos siman labonim, the actions of the fathers reflect on the behavior of their children.

When we become too comfortable in galus, the goyim become jealous of us and end up ch’v chasing us out. The holocaust was an effect of their jealousy as above. The Germans ym’s learned their behavior from Mitzraim. See the Meshech Chachma in Parashas Bechukosai on Veaf Gam Zos in great detail.

bob, I don’t agree with you as milah, circumcision proves the opposite. It is OK to make one feel good to change for the better. A person’s mental health takes precedence over everything else. Bal tashchis is allowed when the benefit is greater than the loss as over here. Medical includes mental health. The Torah was not given for hinderance.

The Kol Aryeh interprets the conversation between the min (apikarus) and Rava in Meseches Shabbos. Rava was so involved in his learning that he pressed his foot on his hand and blood was gushing out. The min commented that you are a hurried nation like your action by saying naaseh before nishma, how did you know you can keep the Torah before hearing it? So he explains that the min was questioning how Avraham Avinu waited to be commanded to do millah before doing it. If he felt that you are that allowed to wound yourself but I see from your actions that your view is that you can wound yourself, so it must be that is greater when commanded (metzuva veosah) but then why did the Jews say naaseh before nishma. Rava told him that we trust Hashem like a father who will not ask us to do something we cannot do.

For Hungarians it is kakaos (made with cocoa) whereas kokosh (kakas) is a rooster.
