Reb EliezerParticipant
Gaon, Why are we mentioning in davening המחדש בכל יום תמיד מעשה בראשית the proof from the creation of the light that is renewed every day according the Torah and Mitzvos that people do and what they deserve which changes daily?
Reb EliezerParticipantNo, in retrospect it is much worse for Trump with Mueller.
Reb EliezerParticipantThanks HaLeivi for quoting the Maharal.
Reb EliezerParticipantI believe that this is part of the Hashgacha. Hashem set a condition at the time of creation that he will modify anything that is needed to satisfy creation. Since the world stands on Torah and Mitzvos the condition and benefit in order to continue to perform them constantly changes, so things have to be adjusted constantly as it says המחדש בכל יום תמיד מעשה בראשית.
Reb EliezerParticipantDon’t forget this gematria הטבע is the same as א-ל-הים.
Reb EliezerParticipantCould be if you say it in the regular Psukei Dezimro the publicizing is not so obvious.
Reb EliezerParticipantHaLeivi, Did you see my post 1505216?
Reb EliezerParticipantWhere is the Maharal?
Reb EliezerParticipantThe question about Psukei D’zimra applies to the Maharsha’s explanation also.
Reb EliezerParticipantHaLeivi, this interpretation if from the Ksav Sofer. I think the logic is, if you mention the open miracles on the appropriate day through The Great Halel, you are not excluding the daily miracles but emphasizing the historical miracles, happening that day but if you say The Great Halel every day than you are praising Hashem for the mentioned miracles for no reason but not for any other miracles.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe are only entitled to the benefits of the world because of the mitzvos we do. These changes constantly, therefore, Hashem has to constantly renew the world as it says המחדש בטובו בכל יום תמיד מעשה בראשית.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Chasam Sofer did not call his talmid the Maharam Ash (Imrei Aish) talmidi because he considered him to be a Talmid Chover. The Imrei Aish called the Chasam Sofer a רב ששכח תלמידו.
Reb EliezerParticipantIn the gemora’s time Rabbi Eloazor was a Talmid Chover to Rabbi Yochanan.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says in Parshas Shemini, don’t eat a chazir because it has cut hoofs. Asks the Klei Yokor that the reason for the prohibition should be because it does not re-chew its cud? He answers that because his good part also contributes to his prohibition because he is fake and shows his cut hoofs like Aisov being fake. In the future Aisov will repent and a new creation will be done where the pig will re-chew its cud and will become mutar.
Reb EliezerParticipant“הקורא הלל בכל יום וכו the reason is that he only recognizes the great miracles and doesn’t realize that כל הנשמה תהלל י-ה, as the Midrash says, על כל נשימה ונשימה תהלל י-ה, we are suppose to praise Hashem for every breath take.
Reb EliezerParticipantA doctor must get a diploma to proof himself. Once he received it, we accept him at face value. Hashem proved Himself with miracles. We accept Him at face value without the need to prove Himself anymore.
Reb EliezerParticipantעולם כמנהגו נוהג Hashem created the world that things only change when they need to change. We have inertia and we are not allowed to be matriach מטריח Hashem needlessly.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says בצדק תשפט עמיתך followed by ולא תלך רכיל בעמך. If you judge people for the good, you will not go and spread gossip.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is another joke where a Jew did not have any wine and matzah for Pesach. He went to a Rebbe who assured him that he will have. When it was Pesach was a week away, he still did not have. So he decided to sell some pillows an covers and bought them for the money. He meets the Rebbe on Pesach who asked him did you have your matzah and wine? Yes, he answers. Says the Rebbe, I told you, you will have.
Reb EliezerParticipantIf someone understands calculus the slope of a curve (derivative) is based on the fact that in an infinitesimal interval the vertical and horizontal distances don’t change. Also, finding the velocity for a particular time is based on an average velocity for an infinitesimal time, figuring it will not change in that small time. The whole mathematical theory is based on chazaka meiikara.
Reb EliezerParticipantTosfas in Sukkah 8:1 proofs that 1 2/5 is an approximation of the square root of 2. If you take a square of 5, its diagonal is 7 but the area of that diagonal square is 49 but it should be 50 which is half of the outer square of 10 by 10.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe have Chanukah and Purim. Chanukah is a neis nigleh but Purim is a neis nistar.
Reb EliezerParticipantB. Since our actions cause the ozone layer to diminish, we are being matriach מטריח Hashem to create miracles to restore what we are destroying.
Reb EliezerParticipantThis was in the old time when there was no floor in shul just ground. They said the inclusion שהם משתחוים להבל וריק ואל אל לא יושיע. Be careful not to be ovar on lo tshaktzu, if people see you.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Sefer Maasei Hashem says that Ho Lachmo Anyo is a lamentation for not being able to sacrifice the Korban Pesach in Babylon where they spoke aramaic.
Reb EliezerParticipantLook up Shulchan Aruch O”CH 453 siman 3 בשעת הדחק מותר ליקח מן השוק look at the Biur Halacha if from a Jew or also a Goy.
Reb EliezerParticipantGrind your matzah in a food processor to make matzah meal.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe reason you cannot eat is a knas, penalty but if he didn’t do anything wrong, why should he be penalized?
Reb EliezerParticipantubi, The hot plate is dangerous leaving it on. It needs to be put on a shabbos clock.
Reb EliezerParticipantDovidBT, I think 3) since you didn’t contribute to the extinguishing of the fire, it is ok and you can eat it on Shabbos.
4) Shulchan Aruch 318:4 says if soup is in it , there is cooking after cooking.Reb EliezerParticipantiacisrmma, Kasher the pot cooking Bedaved or Lekatchila?
Reb EliezerParticipantThe hotplate.
Reb EliezerParticipantDY, What about unplugging?
Reb EliezerParticipantYou might need some siman for a היכר not to change the setting.
Reb EliezerParticipantSee Shulchan Aruch O”CH 318:14 and 254:9 MB sk 51
Reb EliezerParticipantNot to sway after your heart and your eyes mentioned above is one of the six mitzvos that we have to keep constantly in mind.
Reb EliezerParticipantLook at the MB 17:10 bochurim not wearing a talis because of the relationship between marriage and tzitzis, but maybe that’s why they wear big talis katans to perform the mitzva of tzitzis. Also since they don’t put the talis over the head according the interpretation of the gemora, they might not wear a big talis altogether.
Reb EliezerParticipantTo be birchas kohanim biblical we need two kohanim which we might not have every day.
Reb EliezerParticipantTwo wrongs don’t make a right. Look at others who do good and feel good because they are doing the right thing and if you do good, you will also feel good. People who don’t do good, don’t really feel good. They may look like they feel good, but you do don’t know how they feel in their inside.
Reb EliezerParticipantWhen it comes to duchaning, see the RMA O”CH 128:44 saying that we only duchan on Yom Tov because we are besimcha whereas on Shabbos we worry about our weekly needs.
Talis, see the MB siman 17 sk 10 why bochurim don’t put on a talis.
There is minhag in Frankfurt to cover the Choson and Kala with a talis under the Chupah.Reb EliezerParticipantNC, What is the use of posting if you don’t read it? The Magen Avraham also in Baer Hetev in the beginning O”CH 271 say that Mazel Maadim rules over that time which is din and not to start up with it.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a Magen Avraham in Hilchas Yom Kippur 610, that makes a distinction between chometz and Yom Kippur. Chometz cannot be touched because everything else is permitted, whereas Yom Kippur all food is forbidden.
See the Sefer Paninim Yekorim who explains with this why Chavo said that you can’t touch the etz hadaas because all other trees are permitted.Reb EliezerParticipantSee in detail Yechaveh Daas Chelek 1 siman 9 (for those who don’t eat kitniyas) whether you can feed kitniyas to the young and whether the pot needs hechshar.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe common practice is to make a potato cholent.
Reb EliezerParticipantSee O”CH 158:4 MB sk 20 for washing the hands.
Could be that wine used to be expensive, so they didn’t use a kos during the week because they had none.
Kiddush between those hours is a sakana, according to the Magen Avraham, from mazel maadim, and whoever doesn’t care will be protected from the heavens.Reb EliezerParticipantI think you can get around inheritance by having the inheritance at the time of death become valid from the time of writing the will. A live person can do whatever they want. חל למפרע
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Rambam פרק ב איסורי ביאה הלכה יד says it is an oral mitzva to marry a niece based on the pasuk ומבשרך לא תתעלם.
Reb EliezerParticipantMeno, look at my post 1497503
March 26, 2018 1:47 pm at 1:47 pm in reply to: What Happened With Ezras Nashim In Boro Park On Monday Night? #1498396Reb EliezerParticipantThank you Eli Y. My mother was helped then by Hatzalah. She passed away more than 12 years ago at 93.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is an interesting argument between the Chasam Sofer Yorei Deah 236 and his father in law Rabbi Akiva Eiger if currently there is a possibility to sacrifice a Korban Pesach. This is based on the Kaftor Voferach who writes that Rabbi Chaim of Paris wanted to sacrifice it at the turn of the 5000 millenium. The question is how we can overcome all the requirements that currently we don’t have.
