For sinas chinom, look up the Rashbam, Ramban on לא תשנא את אחיך בלבבך do not keep your hatred bottled up in your heart but admonish him about it. See also the Yad Yosef on the Ein Yaakov Yoma 9. According to this there are two causes 1) not admonishing, telling him why you hate him 2) hating for an inexcusable reason where your reason for hatred is not an acceptable reason so you act like friend and keep the hatred fester in your heart.

The answer might lie in our current parsha Voeschanan Devorim 4:29 ובקשתם את ה’ אלקיך ומצאת כי תדרשנו בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך you will seek Hashem your G-d and find him because you will look for him with your whole heart and soul. This we should remember in galus and Moshiach will come.

It says כל המתאבל על ירושלים זוכה ורואה בשמחתה whoever mourns Jerusalem will see its rejoycing. Explains the Chasam Sofer that he shows that the loss is not dead which is forgotten but it is still alive. He can actually see the redemption and thereby be happy in its consolation.

Look at the Klei Yokor in Parshas Devorim on פנו לכם צפונה, be hidden in galus. Do not forget that we are in galus by showing off through building fancy houses. If we forget, Hashem keeps out there.

Meat is not eaten still Sunday night but can be eaten Monday so the mourning period ends the first thing Monday morning.

SQRT2 – According to the Tiferes Yisroel, Moshe Rabbeinu was destined to be great. So he had a great yetzer hora and thereby having a hechere neshama and which increased his drive/ability to fight it.

On Pinchos Rashi says בדין הוא שיטל שכרו he deserves his just rewards. Why?
The Dubner Magid has a parable where A wholesaler hires a young man on a no salary basis just room and board. A retail person comes wanting to be served. The wholesaler sends him away telling him that we are in the middle of our Purim seuda and to come tomorrow. The young man volunteers to serve him. They make a lot of money due this transaction. The wholesaler asks the young man what he ows him. Didn’t we agree that I don’t get any salary compensation? The wholesaler tells him that since he sacrifies his food, room and board for his business, he showed that the business is more important than the compensation of room and board he is getting he wants to give him some compensation he will appreciate. Similarly, we can’t give enough thanks to Hashem for his benevolence for living healthily without any concerns but Pinchos sacrificed his life in His service, so he deserves a reward that is worthy to him.

SRQT2 – Look at the Tiferes Yisroel at the end of Maseches Kidushin about the story of the painter. I don’t know what Reb Moshe means. The only thing I can tell you כל הגדול מחבירו יצרו גדול ממנו. It says by Yosef ויהי כדברה אליו יום יום ולא שמע אליה the more Aishes Potifar talked to convince him, the more he did not listen to her. The Chasan Sofer explains that the yetzer hora operates similarly. Since he has nothing good to sell so he has to talk a lot to convince someone to follow him, whereas the yetzer tov has good merchandise so he does not talk a lot.

Just an addendum. There are four worlds where each one is more holy. The neshamas each come from higher worlds.
The Sefer Habris is a very interesting sefer written by Rabbi Pinchas Eliyohu from Vilna first published in 1797. It has no table of contents because he wants us to read it in order. The ideas build on each other.
It consists of two parts, Ksav Yosher and Divrei Emes. The first part discusses material sciences on fire, water, wind or air and earth. The second part is metaphysical, spiritual. The neshama discussion is in part 2 statement 1 נפשות ישראל, chapter 3.

Look at the Sefer Habris who explains in great detail that in order to fight the Yetzer Horah we must have a hechere neshama. He is as great as the neshama can take. When he exhausts it as a tzadik a hechere neshomo is given to him otherwise he can not excel. There are twenty five levels of neshama נפש רוח נשמה חיה יחידה so you can have נפש שבנפש and רוח שבנפש etc. then נפש שברוח etc then נפש שבנשמה etc. similar to sefiras haamer.

קצה תראה וכולו לא תראה Bolok said to Bilom to go to a place where he can see some of the Jews but not all of them. The Rabbenu Bachaye explains in Parshas Ki Siso that if you count the Bnei Yisroel directly c’v a plague comes because you separate the group good from the bad but otherwise you only see the whole group which is all good. You can’t affect the group as a whole with your curse because they are all good. Only part can be affected because they can be bad.

Look at the Klei Yokor for Parshas Bokok explaining the four expressions ישראל, עם, בני ישראל, קהל. ישראל refers to Yakov Avinu defeating Emori with his sword and arrow, עם refers to the erav rav, and קהל refers to Josef compared to an ox.

To find any molad we must find the first molad.

To find the first molad Rambam Hilchos Kidush Hachodesh (6,8) Take the day Adam Horishan was created and subtract a year.
He was created on Friday at 8 AM = 6 day 2 hr = 6 day 14 hr counted from Thursday 6 PM when the 6th day begins.
When taking a 12 month year molad difference when divided by 7 which is for one month 1 day 12 hrs 793 chalkim multiplied by 12 we get
    4 days, 8 hrs 876 chalokim.
Going back a year from his creation by subtracting this from 6 day 14 hrs we get 2 days 5 hrs and 204 chalokim with the mnemonic בהר’ד is the first molad.

As a side information there is a gematria implying the 29 1/2 days and 793 chalokim from one molad to the next. The verse החדש הזה לכם ראש חדשים ראשון הוא לכם לחדשי השנה adds up exactly כמה תשעה ועשרים ומחצה יום ותשצג חלקים totaling 2658.

There is another benefit in knowing the yichus. The Chasan Sofer explains the gemora in Berochos where Rav Akiva was not selected as the nasi because לית ליה זכות אבות he doesn’t have the zachus from his yichus. So what? It brings to haughtiness, גאווה. He thinks that he is being helped because of his own zachus. Teaching us the need for yichus not that c’v Rav Akiva would use that for his elevation but it should not give that impression. Also, when needed, he can pray to be helped in their zachus.

Rashi says that the prayer of tzadik who is the son of a tzadik is greater than a tzadik who is the son of a rasha. Why? A tzadik whose father is a rasha thinks that compared to his father he has done enough but a tzadik son of a tzadik will say מתי יגיעו מעשי למעשי אבותי when will my actions reach my fathers actions as mentioned to say in the Tana Debai EiIyohu.

The Mayonai shel Torah brings Rabbi Meir Premislan on זה א-לי ואנוהו if someone recognizes his G-d by himself that is beautiful, but א-להי אבי וארממנהו if he praises himself by the G-d of his father without recognizing Him by himself is only a sign of elevation, haughtiness גאווה. Shteig on your own with the help of your father. Yichus is not really necessary.
