Reb EliezerParticipant
Whatever you can do on Chol Hamoad you can do during Safiras HoOmer BH O’CH 493
Reb EliezerParticipantAmong the goyim they hid it behind the ears, but by davening they would unwind it.
May 3, 2019 3:16 pm at 3:16 pm in reply to: Is Bread Spiritually Higher Than Its Ingredients? #1722712Reb EliezerParticipantNow we can understand why bread is higher spriritually from its ingedients because it will be consumed by a higher level.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt is said about John Rockefeller that when he contributed land for the U.N. all his property around it increased in value.
May 3, 2019 12:48 pm at 12:48 pm in reply to: Is Bread Spiritually Higher Than Its Ingredients? #1722701Reb EliezerParticipantYou have four levels, דומם, צומח, חי, מדבר, inanimate, plant, living and speaking. Each higher level elevates the lower level. We make a brocho שעשה לי כל צרכי on shoes because when wearing it, we take advantage from all lower levels. When we eat, we elevate food to a higher level of kadusha.
May 3, 2019 11:03 am at 11:03 am in reply to: Is Bread Spiritually Higher Than Its Ingredients? #1722662Reb EliezerParticipantAccording R’ Moshe by the seder the person is not yotze cherus with grape juice. Also, I don’t think grape juice will make you happy.
Reb EliezerParticipantWhy don’t you look at his son Rechavom who listened to the young over the old? The young might have wisdom but not experience. He better have good advisors.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, If he does teshuva meahava what is the difference who leads?
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a midrash, where Hashem said to Yerohom ben Nevot, repant and I, you, and Dovid will walk together in Gan Eden, so he asked, who will lead? Dovid, he was told. In that case I don’t want. This is another sign of haughtiness.
May 2, 2019 1:33 pm at 1:33 pm in reply to: Do words of hate matter? It’s just words or is it sinister? #1722306Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Maybe you should preach to yourself about the words you use by being disrespectful towards participants in CR.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe lead up to the crescendo or climax.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe reason to finish with good is because we remember our last experiences best.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe finish shamonei esrei with peace הכל הולך אחר החתימה All is well that ends well.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a sefer in hebrew קיצור משנה ברורה from Feldheim Publishing which summarizes the halochos.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict Rashi is ל’ג ,ב
Reb EliezerParticipantBy kodshim the day comes first then night, because you can accomplish more in this world by doing mitzvos than next world. We have week days first because we suffer first than rest. Similarly, night comes first than day. By the goyim it is the opposite.
Reb EliezerParticipantUsually it is always first except if there is a reason to be last.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, People hide – etc. I don’t know what you are talking about. What does this have to do of being last?
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, Yaakov wanted to protect them from Aisov for his great love for them.
Reb EliezerParticipantubiquitin, SA O’CH 165,2 last, for having to wait and be mafsiik less time.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a Midrash, when someone is haughty and feels he should come first, we tell him a bug was created before you. If he would be smart, he would understand that because of his chashivus the human being was created last in order that everything should be avaiable for him like a set up table.
Reb EliezerParticipantI think you like to argue as I mentioned before, I said the same thing. All kitniyas was assered the same time and the future where the reason of mixing up with chametz applies.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, doesn’t chashivus require kavod and therefore should come first?
Reb EliezerParticipantBarr should be disbared for lying and misleading the public.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe last is protected because it is beloved. ההדיוט קופץ בראש, the smart person hears the other’s view first and makes his view known last. The simple person wants to, because of haughtihess like Haman, be heard first.
Reb EliezerParticipantI don’t know what this is. Can you write this in hebrew.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, I heard that the censors removed that passage.
April 30, 2019 10:25 pm at 10:25 pm in reply to: Spiritual Level of Rare vs. Well Done Steak #1721503Reb EliezerParticipantiacismma, not that simple. The Minchas Chinuch 7, questions what נא means whether מאכל בן דרוסאי is included.

April 30, 2019 8:07 pm at 8:07 pm in reply to: Is Bread Spiritually Higher Than Its Ingredients? #1721430Reb EliezerParticipantMaybe the pasuk indicates the OP לחם לבב אנוש יסעד. What does it have to do with the heart?
Reb EliezerParticipantDon’r we see this by Korban Pesach כי אם צלי אש?
April 30, 2019 12:16 pm at 12:16 pm in reply to: “Acharon shel Pessach” – No other Yom Tov is called so, why is it called that? #1721100Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a vort from the Berdichever why Pesach is called by that name and not Chag Hamatzos as called by the Torah. We are emphasizing the miracle Hashem did to us, whereas He is emphasizing what we did for Him. לכתך אחרי במדבר בארץ וכו
April 30, 2019 9:53 am at 9:53 am in reply to: “Acharon shel Pessach” – No other Yom Tov is called so, why is it called that? #1721004Reb EliezerParticipantWe will tell the story of Yetzias Mitzraim even more after redemption. A parable is told in the Migdal Eder haggada to explain this. A person had stomach problems. He could not digest his food well, but he did not fill badly because he was poor and only was able to afford what he was able to digest. A doctor cured him, but he did not fill any hakoras hatov since he desired now more food, but he could not afford it. When he became reach, then he realized the benefit of what the doctor did for him. Similarly, in galus we don’t appreciate fully Yetzias Mitzraim, but after the redemption we will fully appreciate it.
April 30, 2019 8:58 am at 8:58 am in reply to: “Acharon shel Pessach” – No other Yom Tov is called so, why is it called that? #1720995Reb EliezerParticipantThis explanation from Rabbi Fogelman makes sense since we only keep the last day of Pesach in Ch’l being in galus.
April 29, 2019 5:59 pm at 5:59 pm in reply to: Why do we seclude ourselves from the world around us? #1720480Reb EliezerParticipantThere was a bet between the sun and the wind who can take off the coat of an individual. We can look at the coat as being religious, not mixing with those who influence us against Torah’s teachings, The yetzer horah, bad inclination, can have different effects on different people. For some he is like the wind, the more he pushes the individual to do bad, he strengthens himself to overcome the yetzer horah’s influence and keep his coat on, whereas for most of us, he behaves like the sun taking his coat off and giving up his religion. Since we don’t know what the effect will be, we must watch ourselves from groups that influence us against the Torah’s teachings.
Reb EliezerParticipantThank you Reb Yid for posting it. I copied it and reformat it for printing.
April 28, 2019 8:23 pm at 8:23 pm in reply to: Difference between Chabad and everyone else? #1720016Reb EliezerParticipantדירה בתחתונים is only a means to the end of gaining Olam Haboh.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, the father is asked not the mother.
April 28, 2019 4:33 pm at 4:33 pm in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719987Reb EliezerParticipantThat would be like a typewriter as described by you.
Reb EliezerParticipantHe wanted to sacrifice a korban pesach on Pesach Rishon.
April 28, 2019 9:44 am at 9:44 am in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719787Reb EliezerParticipantI talk about a software that is used on a computer.
April 28, 2019 8:42 am at 8:42 am in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719761Reb EliezerParticipantIt’s a computer. See the RMA SA O’CH 545,7 writing must be permanent.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe question is the mitzva of chinuch on the father or the child whether the bar mitzva can count with a brocho.
Reb EliezerParticipantAccording to R’ Moshe you can switch.
April 25, 2019 6:00 pm at 6:00 pm in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719489Reb EliezerParticipantSee Beer Moshe 7,39 and 93 writing on a disk is automatic. On Chal Moad a pesik reshe is not assur and the writing is a code. Writing on a monitor display has no permanence.
Reb EliezerParticipantIf miching is because of gebroks, it doesn’t matter because I am an Oberlander and eat gebroks the whole pesach.
April 25, 2019 1:25 pm at 1:25 pm in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719426Reb EliezerParticipantJoseph, proof? Chal Hamoad a tircha or exertion is assur and must have permanence. Writing on a computer
display has no permanence. Printing by entering a command involves no tircha and is not a direct malocho happening automatically, whereas typing on a typewriter has permanence and there is tircha involved.April 25, 2019 12:12 pm at 12:12 pm in reply to: Is typing allowed on Chol HaMoed? Is it like writing? #1719387Reb EliezerParticipantTyping on a computer is not permanent , whereas typewriter might be different. Printing from a computer might not be a melochoh for chol hamoad just entering a command. The issur of chol hamoad is exertion.
April 25, 2019 12:11 pm at 12:11 pm in reply to: “Acharon shel Pessach” – No other Yom Tov is called so, why is it called that? #1719384Reb EliezerParticipantWe call the last day of succas Hoshanah Rabba so there is no need to call it acharon shel sukkas.
April 25, 2019 11:33 am at 11:33 am in reply to: The Rov forgot (or missed zman) to sell the chometz on erev pessach #1719375Reb EliezerParticipantI asked my LOR and just as I thought there is always a backup.
