That is מספרין not מגלחין.

In Rav Chaim’s time men were wearing pocket watches, but now men wear men’s wrist watches.
May 13, 2019 11:07 am at 11:07 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1726248Reb EliezerParticipantSA O’CH 261,2 paskens like the R’T motzoai shabbos. It is not a chumra, look at the Minchas Kohen in great detail. Erev Shabbos we have Tosfas Shabbos.
Reb EliezerParticipantI adopted a baby from Columbia having a dark complexion. Being different, he was bullied. When we complained, the principal in the yeshiva said, he should have a thick skin. He got married and finishes mishnayos for his mother’s yahr zeit.
May 13, 2019 8:45 am at 8:45 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726093Reb EliezerParticipantyungerman123, How can you say that with a bearded face? It says in the mishna ואלו מגלחין במועד.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Are you for real? You look down and down grade everyone else but yourself?
Reb EliezerParticipantI say it.
May 12, 2019 5:58 pm at 5:58 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725750Reb EliezerParticipantRG, what is all the proof from מקרא? Where does it say gemora?
Reb EliezerParticipantAdopted fron birrh converted children have no problem getting married if they were brought up in a religious family.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Look up the midrash Shmuel on כל מחלוקת שהיא לשם שמים you find what you are saying as interpreted by the Shevet Sofer. The truth will emerge by having arguments.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, you really mean the opposite, being kenegdo is an ezer.
Reb EliezerParticipantYou are a kenegdo not an ezer.
May 10, 2019 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm in reply to: Is there a hetter for staying up both nights of Shavuos? #1725381Reb EliezerParticipantThere is no gemora telling us to stay up on the first night of Shavuos , so it is not like the second day of Yom Tov.
Stay up on your own and since the whole thing is a minhag, no baal tosif is involved like the Shagas Aryeh by todir and reshus.Reb EliezerParticipantצדיק גוזר והקב’ה מקיים
May 10, 2019 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725379Reb EliezerParticipantRG, we don’t like instigators. The Chasam Sofer always said חדש אסור מן התורה בכל מקום ובכל זמן stop reinventing the Torah.
May 10, 2019 11:56 am at 11:56 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725341Reb EliezerParticipantI meant to say the Bach’s view brought down by MB (8,19) is ‘not’ yotze.
May 10, 2019 10:11 am at 10:11 am in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725313Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Still the father is not suppose to teach his daughter because of tiflus because their learning is not the same as men, deepening into it. Their learning is as the daf yomi (oberfleflich) general knowledge more emphasis on the halochos. According to Rav Oehlbaum, bichas hatorah is a birchas Hahoduah and not a birchas hamitzva and therefore women are also responsible to say it as they also have a part in Torah.,
May 10, 2019 10:11 am at 10:11 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725311Reb EliezerParticipantRG, As mentioned you are a brocho levatolo using expressions like that makes you radical. The Bach happens to hold that their is a reason by three things tzitzis, tefilin and sukkos where the emphasis is kavono and without it, you are yotze.
May 9, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725215Reb EliezerParticipantWe find a similar idea by Rosh Chodash. It was given to the women as a reward because they were first to contribute to the mishkan but had to be forced to contribute to the eigel.
May 9, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725221Reb EliezerParticipantRG, What the klugeryid says as his name, makes sense. It says by the eigel Shmos 32,6 וישכימו ממחרת
May 9, 2019 11:39 pm at 11:39 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725226Reb EliezerParticipantbeisyosef, did you look at the Yabia Omer tshuva (6,41) why the above author of Sefer Har Tzvi did not say Hallel at all?
Reb EliezerParticipantI just heard something interesting. In America the king is not the law, but the law is the king.
Reb EliezerParticipantAs stated before the women don’t have the mitzva of limud Torah personally but get the mitzva and benefit when they encorage their husbands to stay up.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Yashlim Shanaso means he will complete his alloted years.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, This is quoted from the Ari z’l sefer kakvonos and it does not say yashlim hashono.
May 9, 2019 7:54 pm at 7:54 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725161Reb EliezerParticipantRG, You are ethnocentric. If people don’t follow your beliefs, they are radical. I quoted before from Rav of EY, Rav Tzvi Pesach Franik zt’l author of Har Tzvi who did not say Hallel at all on YH.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a famous story where the GRA and the Dubner Magid where together Shavous night. The GRA was saying Tikun Leil Shavuos and the Dubner Magid was learning. He was asked, why don’t you say Tikun Leil Shavuos like the GRA? He said I will give you a parable. If a peddler shows samples to his customers, it only makes sense if he has it in a storeroom. The GRA is well learned so can show samples, but I have to acquire my merchandize first by learning.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, learn how to translate something correctly. It doesn’t say to live the year, otherwise one being up yearly will never die. It means he wiil not die suddenly before his time.
Reb EliezerParticipantAccording to the Yabia Omer 6,41 saya to say Halel after davening without a bracha.
Reb EliezerParticipantהוכיח חכם ויאהבך the Shlah Hakadosh says that when you admonish someone don’t call him a letz because he will end up to hate you, but if you call him a chacham, he will love you.
Reb EliezerParticipantWhat about not saying it? As mentioned the Yabia Omer above says that Rav Pesach Tzvi Frank zt’l did not say it.
Reb EliezerParticipantFrom the Mordechai Pesochim 588 mentioned above it looks like a gezera with mixing up with chametz but it is botel berov. see RMA SA O’CH 453
May 8, 2019 10:09 pm at 10:09 pm in reply to: What is the origin and history of the electric menorah? #1724752Reb EliezerParticipantYou can use a flashlight for bedikas chametz for those who help out or in a car because it is safer to use but not for Chanukah because it needs a shiur.
Reb EliezerParticipantChosid, How old are you? Obviosly I said that from my experience of being up the whole night and at davenen I fell asleep and was unable to concetrate. It says אל תדין את חבירך עד שתגיע למקומו.
Reb EliezerParticipantYou call yourself a chosid, don’t you think it is important to daven with some kavonoh? They also have a later minyan, so obviously not everyone is up for the whole night.
Reb EliezerParticipant2scents, Barr got a letter from Mueller which he denied, saying he did not know of his disapproval of his four page summary letter which did not properly summarize the Mueller Report regarding colusuon, not discussed, and obstructuon, not exonerated, thereby he was lying/
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Sharei Tshuva says that upsherin, leaving payos, is a mitzva and can be done on Chol Hamoad
see SA O’CH 531,7.Reb EliezerParticipantRG, I am a talmid of the Yeshiva Chasan Sofer where we try to follow the Chasam Sofer. Your should learn respect before you post.
May 8, 2019 7:48 pm at 7:48 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1724658Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Rav Pesach Tzvi Frank did not say Hallel at all. Even men don’t make a brocho כל הפטור מן הדבר ועושיהו נקרא הדיוט specially when it is a question pf brocho levatolo as you are.
Reb EliezerParticipantI am up for Shavuos but not the whole night. I don’t like to daven like a zombie.
Reb EliezerParticipantAccording to the Kol Bo women are exempt from dependent mitzvos because their first responsibility is to the husband and families. Therefore it is wrong to deprive them from sleep.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, No, they don’t have the mitzva of limud torah. Maybe according to you women should have a minyan and lain?
Reb EliezerParticipantIn Yabia Omer above it says that Rav Tzvi Frank Zt’l did not say Hallel on YH.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, don’t make a general statement. If you off the OP, the Mishna says that these can shave Chol Hamoad, so we see that normally we can shave. The Chasam Sofer O’CH 159, whom I follow, says that there is nothing wrong normally to shave.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, as usual, I don’t know what you are talking about. Yerovom said instead of teshuva אי הכי לא בעינא in that case I don’t want it.
Reb EliezerParticipantLearn mussar from the goyim of what hislahavus to do mitzvos.
Reb EliezerParticipantLook at the end of Choshen Mishpot that the Darisheh brings from his mother about the lighting of candles on Yom Tov to make a brocho first. So, the mitzvos that apply to the women, they can learn by themselves in detail.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe shiur of payos is to the bone.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Chafetz Chaim’s zt’l last name was Kagan.
