Reb EliezerParticipant
You eat shabbos what ever is chaviv to him.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, we only wait a 1/2 hour between milk and meat. You can eat something in between fish and meat. You can eat cheese blintzes after the fish maybe not together.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe usually had a potato soup, fish and cheese blintzes.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe RMA SA O’CH 494,2 says to eat milcihig and then fleishig to have two breads, as we should not use the same bread for both, to commemorate the shtei halechem.
Reb EliezerParticipantHalacha and labeling is not same. Maybe, there are guidelines by the government of milk amount in a product to be called dairy.
May 17, 2019 12:33 am at 12:33 am in reply to: How did Chabad change from being Anti Zionist to Pro #1728445Reb EliezerParticipantNev, what I mentioned before the logic from Amram and Miriam is not mine but the Aim Habonim Samecha Shaar 3,12. about the building of EY used by the talmidim of the Maharam Shik.
Reb EliezerParticipantNev is telling us that this is what is called דבר המעמיד which is not botel so it is not like milk and the RMA above does not apply.
Reb EliezerParticipantLook at RMA SA YD 97,6
May 16, 2019 11:08 pm at 11:08 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1728420Reb EliezerParticipantRG, If you meant to say that davening is a mitzva, I go to sleep before I am mechuyav.
May 16, 2019 9:51 pm at 9:51 pm in reply to: How did Chabad change from being Anti Zionist to Pro #1728320Reb EliezerParticipantThe Chasam Sofer explains the argument between Amram and Miriam was that Amram divorced his wife to bring the geulah as all neshomos will be used up in the guf. Miriam argued that this works only if everyone follows your lead, otherwise the tzadikim will refrain fron having children and all births will be rashoim. The same argument was whether to join the Kneses. If the religiious don’t join, they will do whar they want without objections.
Reb EliezerParticipantAfter research I find that non-dairy can have .5% milk, 5/1000 which probably is botel, whereas dairy free can not have any milk.
Reb EliezerParticipantDid you ask them, what did they say? . It is unlawful to mislabel something.
Reb EliezerParticipantAgain I indicated the MB who says there is a difference if he does averos lehachis, on purpose, or leteovan for desire.
Reb EliezerParticipantואלה שמות’בני ישראל הבאים מצרימה’ ס”ת מילה indicating they were all distinguished because of their circumcision.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Are you talking about yourself?
Reb EliezerParticipantThe question is why do they put it in there? If for taste it certainly is not botel and otherwise how can you mevatel directly when you can leave it out?
Reb EliezerParticipantI think the answer is that milk currently is not an issur and therefore we can be mevatel it and it becomes botel since the most it can be by the government allowance is 1/200.
Reb EliezerParticipantLook up MB 329,3
May 16, 2019 5:12 pm at 5:12 pm in reply to: How did Chabad change from being Anti Zionist to Pro #1728138Reb EliezerParticipantThe Satmar Rebbe ztz’l was asked why he doesn’t thank them for saving him? He said, if someone sets a fire to a house and then saves them, does he deserve thanks?
Reb EliezerParticipantNo, but many finish their sefer liike this: Chidushei Harashba on Brochos, Chasam Sofer (7,74) etc.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says וראה בטוב ירושלים כל ימי חייך see the good in Jerusalem all your life. There is story with the Klausenburger Rebbe who was asked, why don’t you see anything bad in EY? He said, I am busy seeing the good העוסק במצןה פטור מן המצוה.
Reb EliezerParticipantWhat about W and his Iraq War?
Reb EliezerParticipantCreating peace with Egypt by Carter was a great accomplishment that still is surviving today.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt is a Midrash Rabba:
דברים רבה (וילנא) פרשת וזאת הברכה פרשה יא
אלו ואלו היו אומרים (ישעיה נז) יבא שלום ינוחו על משכבותם הולך נכוחו (משלי י) זכר צדיק לברכה ונשמתו לחיי עולם הבא. אמן כן יהי רצון, ברוך ה’
לעולם אמן ואמן.Maybe we finsh the Darosho with the coming of Meshiach which is implied in this pasuk by the duplicate Amen’s. This world and the next world to come.
Reb EliezerParticipantJoseph, Trump by not standing up against anti-semitism, he is enpowering them. They see it as שתיקה כהודאה.
May 15, 2019 5:24 pm at 5:24 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1727504Reb EliezerParticipantRG, We mentioned before it is not a mitzva to be up. It is kabalah. No halacha in SA to be up because there is no gemora. The Beer Hetev quotes the Ari Z’l. Are you mixed up like davening shatz with a beard?
May 15, 2019 5:24 pm at 5:24 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1727500Reb EliezerParticipantTo quote the Magen Avraham by sittiing for Tefilin when put on the hand, kabalah does not trump halacha.
May 15, 2019 3:33 pm at 3:33 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1727452Reb EliezerParticipantRG, everything you don’t understand seems funny to you. Thet want to satisfy everything being up and davening properly.
May 14, 2019 9:09 pm at 9:09 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1727091Reb EliezerParticipantIf there is a helping plate, just remove a piece in another plate and be mekadesh with it and then help yourself into your plate.
May 14, 2019 9:09 pm at 9:09 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1727077Reb EliezerParticipantThinking it over, it is not simple. If he leaves the food over without touching it, it can be reused. If he tastes it and leaves it over, it loses its vakue. If he removes a piece into another plate to eat, the rest can be reused. He should be able to be mekadesh with the piece he removed.
May 14, 2019 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1727055Reb EliezerParticipantGaon, I would say yes. He can be mekadesh the ishoh because once he was given the food, it belongs to him to eat it or leave it over.
May 14, 2019 5:51 pm at 5:51 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1727030Reb EliezerParticipantThe two are related. If shaving with an electric shaver is assur because of simlas ishoh as no stubbles are left, he would be ovar on cutting with a razor.
Reb EliezerParticipantReb EliezerParticipantMy wifw and I made a shiduch when we just got married. I knew the choson and she knew the kallah.
May 14, 2019 12:08 pm at 12:08 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1726908Reb EliezerParticipantI will melamed zechus on the feet stompers as a symbol to eradicate and stomp on them with their feet.
May 14, 2019 8:54 am at 8:54 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726821Reb EliezerParticipantWhen two people say someone is drunk, he should lie down.
May 14, 2019 8:21 am at 8:21 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726817Reb EliezerParticipantYou have just proved the words of the Magen Avraham אין חכמה לאשה why a woman should not learn genora as also indicated by the klugeryid. It says על פי שנים עדים יקום דבר where two posters tell you that you are incorrect.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726582Reb EliezerParticipantHe can have a physical problem if he can’t have a beard so we don’t want him to be a shatz.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726581Reb EliezerParticipantIt does not say אם יש לו זקן indicating that he needs a beard to daven.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726580Reb EliezerParticipantAll this does not mean that he must have a beard, but be able to have a beard.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, because of anivus of Beis Hillel they allowed Beis Shamai first in order to hear an opposite view before they decide on their view to arrive to the truth, so it could not be Beis Hillel and Beis Shamai because Beis Shamai would have come first.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726574Reb EliezerParticipantRG, sorry you don’t what you talking about as a woman. This is a clean way of saying that he is of age and ir does not mean a beard.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe same way as we praise a tzadik when we mention his name, we must praise Hashem. The Sefer Chasidim says that for this reason we should not say Hashem but Hashem Yisborach.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt can be a chiyuv on the tzibur and still a chiyuv on the oleh but not a chyuv on others if ten people listen.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says that the oleh should not say chazak chazak until he says the last brocho.
May 13, 2019 6:18 pm at 6:18 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726505Reb EliezerParticipantRG, even if a person not having a beard can also daven since it doesn’t say in SA O’CH 581 that he must have a beard. In HINENI the word ‘like’ is used to be seen as an older person who is personally having his own problems and concerned about his livelihood and family.
May 13, 2019 4:57 pm at 4:57 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726467Reb EliezerParticipantRG, do you follow the Beer Sheva by not wearing a wig outside and cover all your hair?
May 13, 2019 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726473Reb EliezerParticipantBTW a priest is called galach because he shaves the middle of his head.
May 13, 2019 4:41 pm at 4:41 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726472Reb EliezerParticipantWhen it comes to shaving, didn’t I bring a proof from the mishna paskened in SA 531?
May 13, 2019 3:04 pm at 3:04 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726409Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Respect people’s customs since they all have their gedolim like the Chasam Sofer to rely on and don’t be holier than thou.
