The women is lighting to satisfy her own obligation. If he happens to be an away from his house,, is a different situation. He has an obligation to light on his own.

Prof. Turley says not enough proof, but Trump claims presidential immunity, so he doesn’t have to cooperate with documents or allowing peoole to testify in impeachment investigatiion prescribed by the constitution. Therefore, his obtructiion is violating the constitution and he needs to be impeached.

It is an argument in Perek Chelek between Hillel and others if Meshiach will come right away (Hillel holds as the time in between was used up already) or others (forty years in between).
There is also an argument if the Temple will be built first (Yerushalmi) before his coming.

Reb EliezerParticipantI just noticed, the Baer Hetev 464,2 brings from the Taz that the Rokeach, an ashkanaz, allows eating mustard on Pesach provided it was not ground in a chometzdig dish.

Reb EliezerParticipantThe reason we must adjust the Tekufas Tishri by 13 days becauwe Pope Gregory ih 1589 created a Gregorian calendar over Julian Caesar’s calendar because he adjusted the calendar by 10 days. The other days difference had to do wiith a leap year for a complete century. This should be a leap year since years divisible by 4 should be a leap year. The complete century is a hundred years. He changed it that only if is divisible by 400 will be a leap year.The years 1600 and 2000 were ok; The years 1700, 1800 and 1900 were not leap years any more. This makes the differende of another 3 days for a total of 13 days.

Equinox Tekufas Tishri = Sept 23
+ 60 = Nov 22
+ 13 days difference between Gregorian and Julian Calendar.I emailed my shul luach editor.
Reb EliezerParticipantIf you look at the gemora in Perek Chelek, where each of the talmidim thought that their rebbi was Meshiach. According to the Rav Abarbanel, Meshiach is an acronym for Menachem, Shiloh, Yinon and Chanina. There rebbies were all alive at that time.

Reb EliezerParticipantChanukah is related to Sukkos. According to the Beis Shamai we diminish the candles by days as the oxen was diminished day by day. The Beis Hille holds that as days went by, our spirutuality increased whereas the Beis Shamai wants to dimihish our materialism as the oxen representing the umas haolam are diminished. Sukkas where we celebrate a good harvest is our holiday instead of Thanksgiving Day.

The answer is, if he wants to divorce for that, then there is no help for that marriage. The mizbeach cries for divorcing the first wife because the mizbeach brihgs peace. He says that originally they lit outside and it was improper for them to light among the men, so even now that we light inside the original custom remained . The Chasan Sofer explains the custom for the women not working as long the candles are burning. The yevonim wanted to eliminate Rosh Chodesh in order not to keep yomim tovim where the women light the candles. Min haTorah there are eighr days, so the women don’t work and the men light for the neis of the oil.

Reb EliezerParticipantYabia Omer, there is an argument between the Rabbenu Taam and the Rambam if the saying of an unnecessary brocho is assur biblically because of Lo Siso which is the view of the Rambam see SA O’CH 215,4 or rabbinically as the Rabbenu Taam see the Tosafos Rosh Hashana 33,1. If women make a brocho on a time dependent mitzva is related to this argument. Halel on Rosh Chodesh is only a custom. so according to the Mechaber above a brocho should not be made. In SA O’CH 422,2 according to one view holds that in tzibur you do make a brocho. Could be that this view holds that Halel betzibur is not only a minhag but parsimei nisei.
