Just came upon this old thread… the bakery in Woodridge was called Mortman’s.
Does anyone remember the bakery in Mountaindale, up the hill? And the Meal Mart on Mountaindale’s Main Street, where the aroma of barbecuing chickens was delicious?
How about Daskal’s summer grocery and Becky’s all-year-round grocery?
And the only shomer shabbos post office in the country?
