Just started today…it’s awesome!
kylbdnrMemberI think my dad for sure saw this thread somehow…he never hugged me…
Maybe because he just left for vacation till Monday
kylbdnrMemberMy dad hugged me today…for the 1st time since I remember…I went to my room after and cried 😉
September 12, 2011 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm in reply to: I am the youngest on the CR anyone nearly 13 and a half?? #811299kylbdnrMemberI don’t think it’s something to be proud of… A 13 yr old shouldn’t be on the computer…
kylbdnrMemberI never thought borrowing from the pushka would be a problem. I always give it back that day or the next day.
kylbdnrMemberBTW it’s usually teachers who wear the yucky perfume u smell miles down…lol
kylbdnrMemberI’m in an all Jewish frum girl program in LIU for Occupational Therapy. I have 2 years left.
kylbdnrMemberbelieve it or not, she said she won’t even hug me on my wedding day.
WIY you’re right. They’re not American. They’re israeli.
kylbdnrMemberIt’s not only me they don’t hug it’s my younger siblings too…and I know it’s because they think it’s gross… Like I said, they think it’s funny that I hug my friends but I think my friends know more about me than my parents do and that’s why I let my friends set me up with a guy instead of my parents…my parents don’t know what I’m like and don’t know which kind of boy I wanted.
kylbdnrMemberMy parents aren’t either the type I can talk about whatever’s on my mind…that’s why I have friends…
kylbdnrMemberMy parents never tell me they love me and neither do they hug me or whatever…they think I’m weird for hugging my friends…I feel weird telling them I love them too but when they make supper or something I tell them thank you…It comes automatic…I just don’t feel close to them or my siblings…
kylbdnrMemberI have a huge height difference between me and my chosson and I never wear heels…not even at weddings…they are very uncomfortable…how about trying to be in her shoes by trying to wear heels for a bit and see for yourself…
August 27, 2011 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm in reply to: Earthquake + Hurricane during One Week in New York #802743kylbdnrMemberI’m out of the US and the news here isn’t focusing on the weathert in NY. Can you keep me updated.
August 24, 2011 3:45 am at 3:45 am in reply to: Teenage Boys and older chewing gum on the street #801596kylbdnrMemberLol ayalah I agree…
I love mentos gum 😉 I finish a pack in 2 days
kylbdnrMemberMy mom uses Adrianna on 46th between 13 and 14, closer to 13th.
kylbdnrMembersqueak…I have a friend in the army in Afghanistan and he does have internet 😉
kylbdnrMemberI was in the same boat as you. I was considered the “bad girl” in my school until my mom found out (or so she thought). She found out and instead of her treating me like a human being, she just put me down and yelled at me. Did it help? NO. Did it make me worse? YES! I was outside on the streets till late and I didn’t care… Lucky for me, one of the guys I bumped into came from a traditional family and with his help, I became a “better” girl. We both helped each other get out of it. He never used to go to shul or go learn and now he goes to shul almost every day to pray and learn. After 3 years, I’m finally engaged to him 😉 Can this have ended up much worse? Yes. I was very lucky to meet him and I stopped talking to all the other guys I spoke to (even if it took a year.)
Was it wrong to snitch on you? Definitely. But you can’t change the past (my mom treated me bad too. In fact, she was encouraging my school to do the same. Eventually she thought I stopped even though I really didn’t.) Hopefully you can continue going in the right path. I agree with mikehall about getting in touch with Rabbi Wallerstein.
kylbdnrMemberFor starters, you can ask what he likes to do with his free time
August 23, 2011 7:58 pm at 7:58 pm in reply to: Earthquake in Brooklyn! (and surrounding out-of-town places) #801345kylbdnrMemberhappy face
people say that before the time of moshiach, the weather will be very unexpected.
August 23, 2011 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm in reply to: Earthquake in Brooklyn! (and surrounding out-of-town places) #801329kylbdnrMemberDid anyone in boro park feel it? I didn’t…but my phone’s not working and neither is anyone else’s phone around me.
kylbdnrMemberActually, I don’t agree. I think seminary was a pure waste of a year.
August 18, 2011 3:09 am at 3:09 am in reply to: Never did I eat anything as delicious as Bamba hazelnut filling #806507kylbdnrMemberI love them too 🙂
kylbdnrMemberCookies…I know those guys too…They’re my far relatives.
They wear black hats and I always see them driving together
August 17, 2011 8:54 pm at 8:54 pm in reply to: Please reopen the crowded mikva thread- Men only #798960kylbdnrMemberIf the thread won’t be open, can someone direct who I CAN ask about the mikva?

August 17, 2011 3:51 pm at 3:51 pm in reply to: "going rate" for bar mitzvah & wedding gifts #799033kylbdnrMember54 is a multiple of 18 = ??
kylbdnrMemberIt was discussed so many times. He said he’d rather I wear a tichel because he says the reason of covering hair is so that ppl should know ur married, but with todays wigs, he can’t tell the difference if someone is covering her hair or not. I told him I told like tichels so he said (in an upset tone) if I wanna wear a wig I can. It’s not a normal thing to break a shidduch for such a silly thing. We’ve been together for 3 years; I can’t just say goodbye because of a tichel.
Does Ovadia Yosef allow a sheitel covered with a hat? Meaning the sheitel is sticking out
kylbdnrMemberI’m a college student…I get so bored in class so I post from my iPod LOL!
kylbdnrMemberit’s a merchant a chief.
I was a counselor in a camp and the campers always sang it wrong (emergency)
kylbdnrMemberI’m sefardi and I just got engaged to a sefardi but my mom wears a wig and my chosson wants me to wear a tichel and I really like hair!! What can I do? Hats don’t match me.
kylbdnrMemberhaifagirl – thanks 🙂 I’ll be waiting
kylbdnrMembermamashtakah – My friend did through Adelphi University. Reb. Bulka made her seminary be another branch of the college and it’s all frum bais yaackov type of girls. It’s seminary and you get your BA in a year. She has a program for O.T, Speech, and Social Work
kylbdnrMemberSince when does the guy give silver candlesticks and pay for shaitel?!
Girls get men a watch.
kylbdnrMember…..what would I put?! lol
kylbdnrMemberI worked hard in high school so I can get into a good college- not seminary. 9th grade was hardest because meeting new friends, diff school etc.
I heard my high school that I was in just put up video cameras in all the classes….even the bathroom so girls shouldn’t stand and talk there.
kylbdnrMemberRefuah shlaimah!
kylbdnrMemberI actually post on another forum which has the option of putting up pictures and hardly anyone puts it up.
kylbdnrMemberMy friend went to an accelerated program for social work. She did her bachelor’s in a year and then did her master’s in I think 2 years. Accelerated programs are very pricy though. She did it through Reb. Bulka’s program in Flatbush. Do you have any college credits?
kylbdnrMemberlol…hmmm I doubt it but that would be funny 🙂
photogenic does ur last name start with an H?
kylbdnrMemberDon’t make us sound so mean…
I was at the beach yesterday and I parked my car near Toys R Us without knowing that I can’t park there… There were a few Jewish men who were there and after a few minutes they came to me and asked me if I parked my car near Toys R Us because they heard that someone tows them away… These boys said they come to that beach every day just to tell the Jewish people there about the guys who tow the cars…I was very impressed. (BTW b4 anyone starts discussing the beach, I’ll just say it’s not really a beach- its just a place to stand there. Ppl don’t swim there so these boys weren’t doing anything wrong…)
kylbdnrMemberOn my dates I was complimented and I didn’t feel it awkward or weird about it…
kylbdnrMemberThanks for remembering 🙂 I listened to 3 of them so far…there’s no words…it was driving me insane
kylbdnrMemberI got engaged last night 🙂
kylbdnrMemberYou get a different thread with the same name…so?
kylbdnrMemberThose special shampoos DO NOT help!
Use vaseline and cover it with a bag for overnight…it’s gross but it really helps! And the next day use dishwashing soap to take out the oilyness (I know that’s not a word…)
kylbdnrMember🙂 I had one piece of cake and 2 cups of tea…I’m done till the morning.
kylbdnrMemberlol I said I feel like I’m gonna throw up.
What am I doing wrong that I feel that way?
kylbdnrMemberMy family takes it out at 9:15
kylbdnrMemberHow do you eat such stuff after a fast?? My family just eats cake and that’s it…I tried eating other things after fasts and I felt like throwing up. What am I doing wrong?
