lakewhutParticipant
It’s not Avodah Zara. There is a source for it. It’s not yeshivish, but it has a basis.
lakewhutParticipantPresident doesn’t mean he owns you. He doesn’t preside over you, but he presides over the affairs of your country. He is your representative, at the executive level. Did you ever go to school?
lakewhutParticipantJews don’t really shave because we don’t use razors.
lakewhutParticipantTurning the USA Republic into the USSA
lakewhutParticipantIf Trump ran on a D ticket, all you liberals jews would vote for him.
lakewhutParticipantObama has many similarities to Bush. FYI.
lakewhutParticipantA gartel does not have to be worn. Davening mincha before shkia or shachrus before zman tfilah are more important imho
lakewhutParticipantHiring Biden, would take away the opposition.
lakewhutParticipantHillary, again?
December 5, 2016 11:17 pm at 11:17 pm in reply to: Is the right to bear arms all about guns? #1197097lakewhutParticipantProbably harder to regulate the use of brass knuckles
December 5, 2016 9:03 pm at 9:03 pm in reply to: Who was the worst President of your lifetime? #1197207lakewhutParticipantFranklin Pierce didn’t even know how to ride a horse
December 5, 2016 5:46 pm at 5:46 pm in reply to: Who was the worst President of your lifetime? #1197199lakewhutParticipant@Beninguiman yes.
December 5, 2016 5:44 pm at 5:44 pm in reply to: Who was the worst President of your lifetime? #1197198lakewhutParticipantI think GWB was a great guy, but he didn’t execute the right policies. For that, I think he did a worse job than Bill Clinton and Obama. I’ll always vote Republican, but the Iraq war was a total disaster.
lakewhutParticipantIt’s not all about guns, but the 2nd amendment says, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Hence, well regulated means gun control.
lakewhutParticipantAnd of course, we live in an Era when people in general don’t have to be responsible for their actions; so, divorce is a way out for some. There are many reasons.
lakewhutParticipantBecause the Jewish community has normalized it. Also, marriage counselors wouldnt have jobs if everyone was happily married… let’s be honest.
lakewhutParticipantAccording to the literal definition, what you are describing is get refusal. What you choose to do is your business, given the halachic ruling. That’s the most neutral and objective answer.
lakewhutParticipantI’d take Bannon in the white house, over Podesta and Huma Abedin. And frankly, HRC.
August 7, 2016 9:13 pm at 9:13 pm in reply to: Why the ashkenazi schools don't accept sefardi children #1164133lakewhutParticipantSolid three weeks conversation.
July 17, 2016 8:19 pm at 8:19 pm in reply to: Does anyone know of any good modern or yeshivish high schools in Jersey #1159488lakewhutParticipantlakewhutParticipantanybody have the chords/sheet music to ninth man by moshe yess/abie?
lakewhutParticipantI felt the parade was a bit dead. In my experience it has been more lively in past years
lakewhutParticipantIn my opinion It starts with education. These seminaries brainwash girls into marrying the top lakewood boy even though there are only few of the top lakewood boys. Then yeshivas don’t convince guys to work. Most of these guys only want to learn if they get supported. You have a bunch of ignorant boys and girls who don’t know what they’re doing. There has to be radical changes in most of the yeshivas. There isn’t a shidduch crisis, people have their heads in the clouds.
lakewhutParticipantDon’t waste your money. Get an education from a human being.
May 28, 2013 4:46 am at 4:46 am in reply to: Message From Harav Yaakov Bender About Serious Drinking Problem In Frum Communit #1084982lakewhutParticipantpeople have always drank on shabbos. The problem is people act stupid about the drinking. Drinking on shabbosis supposed to be a classy thing, not parading around with full glasses of whiskey.
lakewhutParticipantyea I don’t think we should take advice from the most radical faction on the planet.
lakewhutParticipantfleury: giving irrational confidence to teams since the ’12 flyers. it was a shortened season. in an 81 game season the devils would have been in the playoffs instead or at least the jets.
lakewhutParticipantwhoever thinks amnon’s is still good is behind
lakewhutParticipantif you like toppings benny’s has the kosher best pizza in the world. it’s not a debate. it IS better than pizza time.
April 29, 2013 4:54 am at 4:54 am in reply to: Letter circulated in Brooklyn about Motzei Shabbos hangouts #950805lakewhutParticipantit’s very easy to just ban something . an adventurous teenager is “hanging around” so to speak because they have nothing better to do. If the yeshivas were really interested then maybe some rabbeim should arrange something for the guys to do 2/4 motzash a month.
April 9, 2013 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm in reply to: How would you respond to Savage on Metzitzah #1027930lakewhutParticipantone doesn’t have to do it with his mouth
lakewhutParticipantnot all mohelim do metzitzah
March 21, 2013 2:42 am at 2:42 am in reply to: Give Tzedaka to Yeshiva or Chickens for Shabbos? #939676lakewhutParticipantsqueak think before you type. I hope you aren’t serious
lakewhutParticipantnot even a contest swiss > elal. if you’re flying with friends you can get like a 10 hour stop over and do something cool
lakewhutParticipantit’s not just to force anyone work for the government.
lakewhutParticipantmods please close these sem threads. everyday it’s another one. you can’t take these seminary reviews from people you don’t know seriously
lakewhutParticipantIn brooklyn, no chance that works. Out of towners or maybe someone from manhattan might be more open to that idea
lakewhutParticipantif jasonx isn’t jewish and wants to kknow. we don’t really care as long as he isn’t spreading libels and slander against jews
lakewhutParticipantthere are enough jews out there the question is do chasidim want to marry ltivaks do ashkenazim want to marry sephardim
lakewhutParticipantJews have always been neurotic. The Woody Allen stereotype isn’t baseless
lakewhutParticipantIn new york the regents matters. Generally most graduates from ny have a regents diploma.
lakewhutParticipantSo if somebody finds his zivug he won’t get a kollel check? Makes sense.
February 12, 2013 4:22 am at 4:22 am in reply to: Should Proper Grammar Be Required in the CR? #929461lakewhutParticipant“proper grammar” isn’t correct usage of the English language. Good try though
lakewhutParticipantBeningum man you need to read about the JDL and what their protests changed.
lakewhutParticipantbefore Rav Meir Kahane ZT”L was in Brooklyn College, communists used to hold cultural events on campus then one day his group and he wrecked the show and after that they were afraid to perform in BC. I think there would be no better way to honor his name than to have a group show some guts and stop it even if force is necessary. There are many non-jews who like israel also
lakewhutParticipantmdd just because countries have a draft doesn’t make it just. it’s not just to force people to serve in the army. students were able do avoid the draft in us wars but good try.
lakewhutParticipantReally Layzer? Would you like to be drafted into the army against your will? I don’t think most people would. Fact is the U.S. army has a huge army on a volunteer basis. The Israeli government forces everyone to go in order to fit into the political machine.
lakewhutParticipanthttp://www.bagelboss.com/rabbinical-letter.php
they don’t have pork or anything it’s probably just as kosher as dd bagels would be
lakewhutParticipanti hate israeli politics it makes no sense
lakewhutParticipantwe welcome you to the dark side
