re jeans: its a sensitivity in the “gray” area, meaning you can be a wonderful person if you wear jeans and you can be a…not so wondeful person and have never touched a pair of jeans in your life. jeans are not indicative of who you are as a person. its unbeleivable to me that we as frum jews have come to the point where it’s worth bickering with anonymous people about something like clothing that probably wont change the world anyway.
SJS good question wish I had an answer for you
kapustaParticipantpresent and hopefully accounted for
kapustaParticipantthanks qwerty I feel so good now… <bow> time to get on with real life (school) now see you people later today
kapustaParticipantno offense but for all you chemists out there you’ve done great at breaking down havesomeseichels joke
February 4, 2009 6:00 am at 6:00 am in reply to: Parshas HaMan – Tuesday of Parshas Beshalach #1055743kapustaParticipantonlyemes dont be so quick to disprove segulos, I’m not giving a blanket statement that it will always work or always not work, but sometimes it may halp to question if you did anything to help you get the job
kapustaParticipantmod55 you said it, should I bookmark a page in my scrapbook for the day the mods made a 24 hour surveillance of the CR?
kapustaParticipanthes gotta hurry or he’ll be involved in a serious matzah eating contest…
kapustaParticipantqwerty am I late for class?
mods since when did you take up teasing?
kapustaParticipantanonymisss that was great, it bothers me to no end how people are constantly looking for the negative…
Moish the yarmulka is what differentiates (sp?) your outside to the average passer-by from any goy on the street, and it is witness to your being jewish.
btw, I’m still waiting for an answer on the smoking thread
kapustaParticipantmods in the future when you come on, come on and stay on for a few minutes. at least.
kapustaParticipantteen in this place randon is the word for it… anything goes… (which btw, I am a prime example of in case anyone hadn’t noticed)
kapustaParticipantR”Y do me and asdf get to share 14 (asdf move over-ladies go first) or are you gonna make me wait until 15?
kapustaParticipantoomis right on target (as usual)
February 4, 2009 2:39 am at 2:39 am in reply to: How Many Hours A Day Do You Spend In The YWN CR? #636520kapustaParticipantcharlie let me help you… addiction up and running right now…
kapustaParticipantand how about the rest of the mods? I’d go for anyone with a modding license right now…
kapustaParticipantareivim – good job
squeak-how about a psychiatric lesson on mood swings and friends?
kapustaParticipantMoish was it the hypocritical attitude that caused you to go “off”?
(I just used that for lack of a better term, it makes you sound like a light switch.)
one more question (I know I’m heading toward a random question award) but if you do something which you know is forbidden, which part are you doing it for? the sin itself, the idea of going against that which you’ve been taught all along, or just being able to do whatever you want?
kapustaParticipantI’m off the recent discussion her but this place has got to get more mods…goin crazy at this end…
kapustaParticipantOk to everybodys relief, I’m here but unfortunately none of the mods are, last update to the CR was almost an hour ago…mods where are you???????????

February 3, 2009 3:40 am at 3:40 am in reply to: How Many Hours A Day Do You Spend In The YWN CR? #636506kapustaParticipantfor your sake, lets hope so
kapustaParticipantmoish first lesson in life quit while you’re ahead! and btw, something tells me where in the same general vicinity, I’m also near olympic pita… they would get to see me more often maybe if they would keep their hours the way it used to be…a shame…
February 3, 2009 1:59 am at 1:59 am in reply to: How Many Hours A Day Do You Spend In The YWN CR? #636504kapustaParticipantasdf thats ok, I’m not insulted that you didn’t put me in the list of partyers on motzei Shabbos even though I was the one to make the party…
kapustaParticipantteen btw, my name is… well call me kapuSta-as in no h- and dont worry all forgiven
as for my joke,
my doctor told me to lose some weight so I decided to go to the gym every day, and even changed my regular route to work so I would’t pass my favorite bakery and see all the goodies. one day, out of habit, I went with my old route and passed by the bakery. I wanted to be strong, so I told myself I wouldn’t go in unless II found a spot right away. finally, on my eighth time around the block, my perseverence paid off.

kapustaParticipantcharlie thanks you have perfect timing, I really needed that.
teen thaks to you too, I guess it was something I always knew consiously but you brought it to the forefront.
kapustaParticipantnot to c’v get this thread off topic but there was a story also with a bochur who was smoking in a yeshiva where cigerettes were not allowed. the R”Y saw it and the boy thought hed be finished but the R”Y called him into his office and held up the pack of cigarettes and said he saw them in the dorm and to please tell whoever the smoker was that smoking is bad for the health. the boy never smoked again (if I remember correctly)

kapustaParticipantmod42 if you knew me in real life you would know that I’m the absolute last person to oppose G-dliness in our lives the less was on the hour part not the ungodly
kapustaParticipantfor those who were up for last nights round of the “ungodly hour” its almost time to play again…get ready! but we might have to make it less ungodly than last night, I have school tomorrow…
kapustaParticipantMoish tell me honestly if you have a life other than playing dictionary… honestly…

moish your right when you say girly food there are some “girly” girls who go crazy for sushi, its part of a certain personality type
February 2, 2009 6:32 am at 6:32 am in reply to: Daven With A Hat BeYichidus or Without it with a Minyan #1082049kapustaParticipantmw13 that was great and you even beat me in getting a positive agreement from moish-which btw, I’m still waiting for…
kapustaParticipantMoish from anything I’ve ever thought you to be, hard up for friends was never one of them…and btw, the question was posted for the public and cant you at least give me the satisfaction of saying that its a good question, somebody…?
kapustaParticipantbtw, mod42 have you ever heard it with kapusta? as in the food, not her highness, ms. kapusta…

kapustaParticipantOk Moish and asdf, I got another stumper for you, and this one’s been bothering me for years…
Mr. X has a bad day but he tells himself it just a kapara, which makes it easier to handle. Now he doesn’t have as much tza’ar so is that considered the kapara because it was only based on the amount of tza’ar it would give him…lets see Prof google answer this one…
BTW, could one of you chachamim out there in coffee land tell me how the word evitable is used in a sentence… I’m still not so sure I believe you that its a real word…
February 1, 2009 8:32 pm at 8:32 pm in reply to: Daven With A Hat BeYichidus or Without it with a Minyan #1082039kapustaParticipantyes I did and once you verbalize (typatize) that theres no going back, and its much harder to break
kapustaParticipantMoish is that a real word or are you trying to get back at me for some reason?
kapustaParticipantthis is really a random question but why is there a word inevitable and not a word evitable? this just occurred to me…
btw, thanks in advance for the compliments i’ll probably get
kapustaParticipantu got lost there, if we ever have another 5 am CR party, remind me to explain it to you
February 1, 2009 8:12 pm at 8:12 pm in reply to: Daven With A Hat BeYichidus or Without it with a Minyan #1082037kapustaParticipantMoish- I was trying to get you to admit to yourself that you care which I think I acheived and I know everyone else said this also but I care because you’re a jew but I mean that very very honestly I daven that you return completely and a (former?) poster teenager and for several other people I have never laid eyes on in my life.
