I would say to avoid the issue for right now, she probably doesnt want to talk about it either right now, because shes torn between the good and the bad. in a week or two bring it up and encourage her, and maybe try the nursing home thing, or something else dealing with that sort of thing.

moish a person is supposed to have some sort of parnassa for himself, does that answer you? and with time everything fades but i think deep down everyone wants it, but its also that people dont know what it’ll be like when he comes so theres no basis of comparison. 🙂

moish thats a very good question often argued with “but we’re supposed to be settled” today money is treated as an avodah zara whether people want to admit it or not. I think the world is divided into two groups, people who have a tzarah for which they are storming the heavens every day and asking for a yeshua, they dont feel settled and want him to come. but theres another group (which is more important right now) who are very happy the way they are and have their issues, but its nothing very pressing, and they can live with it and they want mashiach to come but there is nothing so desperate about his coming. look compare it this way, the guy whos cousin just broke a shidduch does not care about mashiach the same way the cousin does. I guess it depends on the level and closeness of the tzarah.

moish you should become a cake decorator, you pay attention to the nitty gritty. ok, it was just a poor choice of words. basically that helping is a basis of yiddishkeit, not to say that non frum/non jewish dont help or anything, but its one of the principles of Judaism. 🙂
anonymisss I dont think I’ve ever been called cute, but I guess theres always a first time. If I can change my last post now, I would say that I literally CANNOT stop smiling, you so made my day (maybe even my week!) I dont know you, and i definitely dont know her but I davened for her (I think I’m starting to sound like a davening addict on here) and I do know that no tefilla is ever wasted so I must have had something to do with it. I think in your position you said the best you could (assuming you have no prior experience working with teens, not that it definitely wouldve helped) but you cant tell her shes evil and you cant tell her to do it so you took a very safe middle ground which b”H paid off! 🙂

anonymisss I wish I had an idea for you, but maybe (this is a bad time for this, I know, and I apologize) but maybe you can show her that (normally) you are very happy being frum and wouldnt give it up to become happier. how old is she? the older she is, the easier it is 🙂
