    TVAP,

The party radicals ARE running the Maricopa County Audit. Absolutely nothing to be gained in terms of truth.
A lot to be gained in propaganda for Trump and his supporters.

I never said that he did what he was accused of during the hearings. I don’t know the truth. He did agree that he drank a lot of beer and partied like every American youth. My point is, that defines youth and he should have learnt from personal experience that youths and adults are different. There are things that you do when 16 , that you will never do at 40.

common seychel, I am not silent on Cuomo. You must have missed what I wrote about him in my past posts.

Participant, if you see the examples I brought , you will see that the SC had precedent from previous SC rulings to show new leniency and require a finding that the youth be incorrigible before sentencing him to life without parole. It is an opinion, similar to the other opinions. That they didn’t rule that way is breaking with SC precedent and a disregard for the severe punishment of LWOP for a youth.

    catch yourself,
Guilt is not the issue. The punishment is what is being discussed.

    Smerel,
You believe than an abused youth that kills their abuser deserves the death penalty? Or LWOP ? Maybe they deserve a gold medal?

    TVAP,

First, the democrats didn’t try so hard. When they were required to post a million dollars bond they stopped.
Second, the GOP party in Maricopa County is also trying hard to prevent a recount.
Third, as Yserbius explained, just because some idiot claims something about an election doesn’t mean that they get to do a recount – that was already done to the satisfaction of the GOP Led Maricopa County election board.
Fourth, the people doing the recount are not unbiased. If you check the backgrounds of the owners of the companies that were hired, they are suspiciously very open to the idea that there was fraud.
Fifth, they will be calling voters to ask who they voted for to correlate their votes with their ballots. That is an invasion of privacy and will never get the truth.
Sixth, the results are meaningless and worthless because it’s being run in a partisan manner by the republican led senate in AZ.

So after these seven reasons, why do it and pay for it? Unless you are sure that you are going to get the desired result – there was fraud and Trump really won Maricopa County.

    MadeAliya,

It is embarrassing that you called Dr Fauci a fraud and that he is fearmongering.

Have you ever been responsible for the lives of a country ?
Have you ever been responsible for the response to a new virus which is killing millions of people?

Dr Fauci has and he has been wildly successful in his career and he has won many awards due to his work.

He has nothing to prove to anyone; especially not graduates of the Trump University’s solution of bleach .

He knows better than you on everything about viruses in general and this virus in particular. He has all the data that he needs to make an informed decision as possible.

The answer to all this is very simple. HE IS TRYING TO SAVE PEOPLE FROM GETTING SICK AND ALSO SAVE THEIR LIVES.

There are 560,000 dead Americans already from this virus , with thousands STILL getting sick from the virus and dying weekly.

He wants the number of sick from the virus to get down to zero, zilch, efes.

He will not relax until we are well on the way to that happening without any surprising new strains.

The 80 year old Fauci has been serving the public health sector for over 50 years.
He is a genius who has been able to help millions of people in his official capacity.
Dr. Fauci attended medical school at Cornell University’s Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medicine) where he graduated first in his class with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1966.

Armchair pundits from the right who got a degree from Trump University are seriously outclassed and should be embarrassed.

That is EXACTLY what happened here.
You see it differently, but you are not the judge or the jury here. They saw all the evidence presented and concluded that he committed a crime.
The idea that he was prosecuted and convicted to appease the woke mob is simply a lie.
It also flies in the face of the history of cops being ruled innocent by a jury even when there is tremendous pressure to convict.

There is another question which will clue you in. Why is the GOP-led Maricopa County Board of Supervisors also refusing to assist the effort?

Answer: They say that multiple past reviews have already demonstrated the election was run properly.

There is an internal GOP fight going on between those who want to find favor in Trump’s eyes because he still holds a stranglehold on the party and those who realize that the man destroyed his legacy and the GOP by losing the house, senate and WH in 4 years and lying about winning the election.

The discussion about the republicans and democrats is not what the Torah says about these issues.

The Torah is not up for discussion or debate.

It is what is the proper Torah view in light of the USA being a free and democratic country with a separation of church and state. It is a country which inherently allows you to practice your religion but does not force religious views on anyone. This is the opposite of the Torah view of the total and absolute authority of Chazal , Batei Din and the King.

Sunday preacher’s views on religion of who is going to olam habah are not our concern.

To all who asked me questions or argued with me , I respond that all of my comments were GIGANTIC GENERALIZATIONS to counter the GIGANTIC GENERALIZATIONS written by OP.

I only need to make a cogent argument when I am trying to oppose another’s.

OP never made any convincing and compelling reasons for what he wrote.

Just like OP did not provide a single proof or reasoning (and he did this with another topic that he posted a week ago titled “The democratic playbook”) I responded in fashion. ( I responded to that posting also with similar generalizations.)

People post new Topics criticizing the democrats just so that they have the Topic Title recorded for a week, as if the CR is a billboard to the Jewish community for publicizing their ideas and the more advertisements for the republicans the more they win.

I would like to thank EmesNishtSheker for so beautifully expressing his thoughts here which I agree with. I don’t need to repeat them.

Many of these venues, if not all, are private businesses. They have a right to demand that before entering that you either have a recent negative covid test or are vaccinated.

They have a right and responsibility to open safely for all of their customers.

If you don’t want a vaccine or a negative covid test, you have the option of not going into these places.

If you have to work from home and order food from Amazon that is your option.
Nobody needs to risk getting covid because you don’t want a vaccine or a negative test.

It is crazy anti-liberalism run wild that will have people defending the cop every single time that a cop kills an American Citizen.
I can’t fathom their hatred for their fellow Americans, for the rule of law and also for the Torah idea that every citizen is a Tzelem Elokim.

It is insanity to say that I side with the violent criminals and hate cops.

I side with the rule of “law and order”. For the sake of Syag, insert a Trump joke here. (Even though Syag and I have a little history of bad vibes which I am sorry about, I mean this to be humorous and I enjoyed her calling me out on adding trump to this topic which has nothing to do with him.)

This circles back to the hypocrisy of the Conservative Christians who say they are pro life (and Jews who post “how can a Jew ever vote for a candidate who wants the government to stay out of abortions”) but once the person is alive, have no problem with a cop killing them. It is twisted logic that says that the cop never needs a real defense.

    UJM,

Officers have no leeway to kill people. Show me the law that you are referring to. It does not exist.
The only leeway that officers have is when a jury fails to convict them because people believe like you – that officers should never be held responsible for bad decisions that kill people.

Floyd was already cuffed and in the back of the police car when Chauvin pulled him out and then proceeded to kill him. Floyd was not resisting while Chauvin and two other officers put their knee on his neck, torso and body. The police radioed for code 2 and code 3 medical emergency immediately because Floyd was bleeding from the mouth. Chauvin continued to keep his neck on him for another 7 minutes, 4 minutes after the video shows him going limp. 16 times he told the officers that he can’t breathe. The police checked for a pulse and found none. BUT STILL CHAUVIN DID NOT TAKE HIS FOOT OFF OF HIS NECK.

That is a very cavalier attitude with putting Jews into Cherem. Please see the Talmud Bavli in numerous places about what a Cherem is. (IE. The Shvatim put into Cherem anyone who would reveal the story of Yosef and even Hashem did not reveal it .)

The US is not funding Hamas. You know exactly who the US is funding, you just want to twist it to fit your political purpose.

I didn’t hear you last year when Trump gave Hamas (in your language) 5 million dollars.

“The United States has announced it will give $5m to the Palestinians.”

The US ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, a former Trump bankruptcy lawyer, announced the aid package on Twitter, saying he was “very pleased” the US would provide money for Palestinian hospitals and households.

“The USA, as the world’s top humanitarian aid donor, is committed to assisting the Palestinian people, & others worldwide, in this crisis,” he said.

Americans voting for Biden is not fraud. Fact: More people voted Biden than for Trump. In fact, more people voted for Hillary than for Trump.

The Trump/GOP/Powell/Guliani plan of, after losing the election, attempting to disenfranchise TENS OF MILLIONS of American voters by throwing out their votes is a catastrophic FRAUD.

The Trump/GOP plan that is happening across America of ensuring that they win by denying easy access to voting is the real cheating. This is the only way the GOP knows how to win. They can’t win with their stupid ideas of giving Millionaire tax breaks and not giving all Americans Relief during a pandemic. They certainly can’t win with their racism, xenophobia and love for AR15’s.

    MadeAliyah,

Yosher Koach for opening this thread because this is a topic that deserves discussion. It is also a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.

Where does legitimate criticism of the Israel government end and Antisemitism begin ?
Where does support for the Palestinians end and Antisemitism begin ?

The gold standard for the definition of Antisemitism by the IHRA’s Committee on Antisemitism and Holocaust Denial has made the issue confusing by defining certain criticism of Israel/Israeli’s as Antisemitism.

Here are 6 of their definitions and you can see where the lines between The Jewish people, Israel and Antisemitism are blurred.
    * Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.
    * Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.
    * Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.
    * Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
    * Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
    * Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel

PS: Here are the first 5 definitions which refer mainly to the Jewish people.
    * Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.
    * Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
    * Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.
    * Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).
    * Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.

    common seychel,
Even if I agree to one, that is one out of 250. The riot was from trump supporters who were incited by trump. 249 people going to jail had nothing to do with antifa.

I won’t stop pointing out Trump’s failures until 2 things happen.
    1) He concedes the election, concedes that it was never stolen and that he was lying.
    2) He leaves politics.

Until then, I will have fun.
    Lock him up.Lock him up.

    nisht,

Cuomo and Deblasio and Pelosi are not my idols. No goy is my idol.
I do not walk around with a blue hat or a biden/harris flag in the back of my pickup truck.

I will not defend anybody when they act improperly. I don’t remember ever defending Cuomo and De Blasio.

In fact, as a member of the larger NY/NJ community , I knew a year ago about Cuomo sending patients with covid back to Senior Care facilities to die. It was a disaster and possibly criminal. The not opening of summer camps and the focus on the Hasidim was borderline Anti-Semitism.

I don’t care for all three of them. Pelosi was a good counter balance against the last president.

Anyway – I will repeat – whataboutism is not a valid argument.
Trump lied and people died. We know from a recorded interview with Bob Woodward that on Feb 7th, Trump already knew how covid spread and its deadliness.

The coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.
We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries.
CDC and world health have been working hard and very smart.
Stock market starting to look very good to me.

    Reb Eliezer,

He tried to repeal Obamacare so poor people have less access to insurance. That was a great help to poor people.
He told Puerto Rico that he is holding back aid to them after a catastrophic hurricane. That was another great help.
So many examples of Trump helping poor people.

    TVAP,

I agree with you 100% that kids being raised by single parents is not a healthy environment.

Instead of complaining about the Democrat’s Social system which allows the kids to be fed, clothed and housed , please tell us the Republican solution?

    bk613.

We are in the year 2021.
The year to date Murder rate in 2020 was 43 and this year it is 38.
    Check the NYPD website.
I don’t see in your data the percentage of single mother goings from 25% to 75%.
Non marital births does not mean a single mother is raising the baby. It means the parents are not married.

Great question. How do we quantify racism? Maybe we can add a question on the census , are you racist?

    Smerel, TVAP,

There are more than 1 issue in America that need to be resolved. They are not mutually exclusive.

    Crime and Police brutality.
Racism against POC and racism against whites because of over compensating for POC.
Racism being one roadblock for POC. There are other issues that are also roadblocks for POC.

The ones that are affected by a particular issue are usually the most vocal or start riots in trying to get it resolved. (Like BLM for police killing black people and Republicans for trump losing an Election.)

It’s hard for me to believe that anyone does not realize that there are a lot of white racists in this country. This is true especially in the south which didn’t come out of legal and system racism until the 60’s. So what if it is less than 60 years ago? That doesn’t make it a non-issue. The are a significant number that are no less racist than their grandparents.
The white supremacist groups and conspiracy theories have a lot of support.

“Yet the percentage of POC being raised by single mothers have about tripled, from 25%, to about 75%”. Where did you get that statistic from?
