    I have 2 questions.
    1. What else do you call someone who lost and after unsuccessfully trying to prove that he won, continues to claim that he won the election and it was stolen from him ?
The term “big lie” is very pareve. The real terms should be insanity, traitor, mentally ill, demagogue and demented.

The January 6th committee will not allow the party that created the United States House Select Committee on Benghazi and wasted 2 years and 3 million dollars on a witch hunt against Hillary Clinton, tell them what it means to stand up for truth.

Anyone who does not want to dig into the depths of the trump administrations legal and political attempts to overthrow the election, are OK with trumps attempt at the destruction of democracy in America. This includes every republican who voted against the commission and includes everyone who espouses the view that the commission is a sham and that it’s 2 republican members are just partisan rino’s

What would Fox news say if the next republican to be elected as POTUS gets treated the same way on their Jan 6th and have the Democrat VP on their own decide that they will anoint the next Democrat as POTUS?

    anonymous jew,

Reid did not eliminate the filibuster for SCOTUS nominations. That was done by Republican Mitch McConnell.
    So the list should be:
    3. Who eliminated the filibuster for judicial nominations besides SCOTUS? Democrat Harry Reid
3.5 Who eliminated the filibuster for SCOTUS nominations? Republican Mitch McConnell
    4. How many Trump nominated Supreme Court Justices were approved with less than 60 votes because Mitch eliminated the filibuster? Three

It is not important the number of times that the filibuster was used. Nor the number of times it wasn’t used because the bill was withdrawn before being filibustered.
What is important is what it was used for.

According to you, Biden can just walk into Harlem and nominate the first black female he sees.

Biden is not stupid and not mentally challenged.

He knows that the candidate is going to be grilled by the senate.

He is going to be pick a highly qualified candidate. He has a lot of choices within the race and gender categories. Republicans are going trash anyone Biden nominates. (except for Lindsey Graham who already gave his total and absolute approval for J. Michelle Childs.)

You can google the National debt and find it. It is public info.
My mistake. 9 trillion is wrong. It is actually between 6.7 and 8 trillion depending how you count.

You have no proof that putin was afraid of Trump. Why should he be afraid of him when trump ditched syria and made an agreement to ditch afghanistan. He couldn’t make a deal with NK.

Putin is afraid of NATO which could destroy him.

None of the money is for people to stay home.

How can you say that a person who lost an election and then tried to overthrow it is the best person to be president ? Are you an anarchist or a traitor?

I don’t enjoy this country in a downward spiral. We do not agree on what is a downward spiral.
I think that people who support an insurrectionist and believe that he is the best person to be president as a deep downward spiral into the toilet bowl of america losing it’s democracy.

“Another issue with joe biden as president is that he is dishing out TRILLIONS of dollars and putting the United States in debt further than we were before.”

Sorry, the former guy raised the debt by 9 trillion dollars. Do you care about that or only care when a democrat raises the debt

Furthermore , he is not giving the trillion towards people not working. He is using it for american workers to rebuild american infrastructure.

The purpose of the select bus service is to improve bus speed and reliability, as well as enhance the customer experience, by having customers pay for tickets prior to boarding.

This allows the customer to enter any of the bus doors and also removes the slow wait for customers to pay while boarding.

To show your ticket to the bus inspector on the way out of the bus is a small inconvenience compared to the time saved.

Regarding the legality, your questions are good and you can ask a lawyer.

Wait a second, you asked for help to understand something but it appears that you do not want help in understanding. You have already decided.
Can’t praise Joe Biden ? See my other posts in other threads. I don’t have to constantly repeat myself.
How about you praise Joe Biden ? Or have already decided that nothing he does is worthy of praise?

The YWN posts regarding Biden’s approval ratings are not news. They are fake news opinion pieces.

To have a headline “How low can they go ?” when he is at 39% approval rating is silly and does not reflect the reality of what an approval rating means.

Trump’s approval always hovered around 39% and Republican’s loved him and he received almost 75 million votes in 2020. In fact he left office with a 33% approval. Trump’s approval rating remained within the same 9-point range for his entire presidency: 47 percent at its highest in October 2018, and 38 percent at its lowest in October 2017.

(Also, quoting Mark Penn as if he is an objective observer is laughable. Mark Penn has been a Trump supporter for the past 4 years.)

A low approval rating does not mean that people wish that Biden suddenly turned himself into a republican or that he resigned.

Air-strikes are not the same as having personnel there.

Regarding Trump’s decision to withdraw US troops from Syria’s border with Turkey, a prominent Democrat had this to say, it was “an impulsive decision that has long-term ramifications” and “cuts against sound military and geopolitical advice.”

Another Senior Democrat warned that “a precipitous withdrawal” would benefit Russia, Iran and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and increase the risk that the Islamic State would “regroup.”

Some senior officials at the Pentagon said they were blindsided by the decision, the second time in less than a year that Trump has upended U.S. strategy in Syria following a telephone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The first statement was made by Lindsey Graham and the second by Mitch McConnell.

    > The American trained and supplied Afghanistan military couldn’t win in their fight against the taliban, so the taliban took over.

It is not a claim. It is a fact. It happened. Taliban are in control and the Afghan government is gone.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was swiftly restored as its opponents were defeated or left the country. It is apparently led by supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada and acting Prime Minister Hasan Akhund, who took office on 7 September 2021. Akhund is one of the four founders of the Taliban.

The way that America exited has nothing to do with the taliban taking over the country.

    > How could you expect Afghanis to fight when they know they are losing, when there are no parts to repair airplanes, etc.?
What does that mean “they know they are losing”? Who gives up ? FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.
Trump told the Afghanis in 2020 that America is leaving and they had enough time to prepare themselves.

    > Biden went against military advice .
Are all military advisers of the same opinion? He went against the ones that you chose because it makes Biden look bad.
Biden ( and Trump ) told the military that Americans are no longer dying for the Afghanis. Some military leaders wanted to stay and fight some more.

If we hadn’t pulled out and more Americans would have died this year and we would have another decade of endless republican investigations – ala Hillary and Benghazi.
Tell me how many Americans died in Afghanistan this year vs the 4 years under Trump?

    >One of the immediate reactions was that Afghanistan will embolden Russia and China, and this has already been proven to be true, unfortunately.
This is your opinion and is not based on facts.

“Remember how he claimed initially that Trump left him no vaccine stockpiled.” No, I don’t remember. Please provide proof.
“He could have said – thanks to Trump for developing vaccines, now we will rump up production.”
    He did say that.
“Let me be clear. Thanks to the prior administration and our scientific community, America was one of the first countries to get the vaccine,” Biden said. “Thanks to my administration and the hard work of Americans, we led a roll out, made America among the world leaders in getting shots in arms.”

“A large part of his pitch was that Trump was a crass, uncaring individual. ”
That was not part of his pitch. That was the pitch from the other republican candidates.
Biden had a long laundry list of ideas against trump.

“Afghanistan provided a naked contrast between their leadership styles.”

If Trump hadn’t pulled out of Syria in 2019 , you might have a point. But republican’s have conveniently forgotten that Trump pulled out of Syria in 2019.
Everything that you blame Biden for in 2021 , Trump did the exact same thing in 2019. Betrayed and abandoned allies (the Kurds) , allowed the enemy (Turkey and Syria) to regain land that had been lost and created a humanitarian disaster.
After 20 years , it was time for America to get out of Afghanistan. The American trained and supplied Afghanistan military couldn’t win in their fight against the taliban, so the taliban took over. That is not Biden’s fault.

Joe Biden’s first year in office shows that he ran as a moderate democrat but now he isn’t?

Exactly as he promised, he is governing as a moderate democrat He has not instituted any radical democratic policies.

He isn’t following Sander’s policy of Universal and single-payer healthcare.

He isn’t following Sander’s policy of reducing Military spending. Biden’s first budget increased military spending

Most importantly, Biden has not followed the radical Sander’s policy regarding the Israeli-Palestinian situation. Israel is still in great hands with the Biden administration.

The difference between what a republic and democracy are, doesn’t give a free pass to the obstruction by the republicans in the Senate from getting laws that keep the most basic right in America of free voting passed.

In the end, the elected representatives should be responsible to the voters who elected them.
Not to the PAC’s, Donors, and Corporations that fund them. Republicans and Democrats should vote based on what is good for the country.

    Curiosity,

Democrats are pure evil ? Right.
As I posted in a different thread – please give back all the money from the $1.9 trillion COVID relief package and do not drive on the roads and bridges modernized from the $1.2 trillion infrastructure law.
Republicans have so little in terms of accomplishments, they want to take credit on these 2 bills that they voted against.
Biden’s bill is a direct result of the Republican states making new laws that restrict voting and that will make it easier next time when Trump calls to send Republican Electoral College delegates although the Democrats had more votes.

    RW,

Sorry, I simply disagree with all of your assessments.
“Obama could have withdrew Afghanistan Biden style and still would have been praised.”
“Even the good things that Trump had done were being shown in a negative light by the media, and twisting the whole narrative to show how bad it was.”

Can you bring a single proof to these 2 points or is this just repeating Trump talking points ?

“Also you can’t compare a single fox news to the whole media which is leftist and majority.”
    Yes, I can.
What is the “whole media” ?
Fox news is not a single entity. It has tentacles. Besides Fox, in print media there is the WSJ. In Online media you have National Review, Washington’s free beacon, The Federalist, The Washington Times, The Washington Examiner, The American Thinker, TheBlaze and RedState.

Also, what makes the left wing media the majority? You have numbers to prove it?

The crux of the matter is that nowadays , hundreds of millions of americans never have to read or hear a single left wing media news report. They can choose to listen to exclusively right wing media.
Their facts and opinions are not being informed by the “WHOLE media.” They are tuning into right wing media.

Trump did not cool anything with NK. It was a total disaster for him and for America.
Trump was totally disgraced by the NK dictator at the Feb 2019 summit. On February 28, 2019, the White House announced that the summit was cut short(!) and that no agreement was reached (!). Trump walked out on it because Kim Jong-un wouldn’t give him what he wanted.
Imagine if that was Biden/Obama, would you call that success?

Palestinians knew that Trump wasn’t a fair third-party so they completely ignored any overtures for peace that he proffered. For 4 years , peace in the ME was not on the table.

Putin is still in Crimea and is poised to go into Ukraine. Trump did zilch with him.

World leaders all laughed at Trump. They even cringed when they had to deal with Ivanka as if she earned her position.
Listen to his speech at the UN .

President’s shouldn’t react to the media . They should be level-headed and listen to their advisers and decide on the best course of action.

I agree – the right feels that they can get away with everything – even a coup and an insurrection.

    AAQ and RW,

Here is a statistic that I do not vouch for its truth but it is scary if true.

    McNeil did the math:

As of this week, about 1,800 Americans a day are dying of Covid; the C.D.C. expects that number to rise above 2,600. Virtually all are adults. If 95 percent were unvaccinated and we assume that 75 percent of those were Trump supporters, that’s 1,300 to 1,900 of his voters being subtracted from the rolls every single day.

Donald Trump lost Arizona by a mere 10,000 votes. He lost Georgia by 12,000, He lost Wisconsin by 21,000. He lost Nevada by 33,000. Right now, about 60 Arizonans, 36 Georgians, 34 Wisconsinites and 14 Nevadans are dying of Covid each day. Seventy five percent of 95 percent of that would be minus 103 Trump voters per day — just in those four swing states. Week after week. That adds up.

    AAQ,
I respectfully disagree with your premise.
Before talk radio – that would be over 30 years ago , when Rush began EIB. Rush crucified Clinton daily. (I remember!). So for 30 years , democratic presidents have been pummeled daily.
Most media is not left-wing. It is a myth. Fox news is not left wing and they have a enormous following. So do newsmax and others.
Twitter, FB and other social media are not news organizations.

Trump responding is THE issue. No other president did. Did you see the examples I used ? He attacked regular americans, american businesses and others daily.
All his tweets are archived so he can’t deny a single one.

Biden uses twitter the way you think Trump did. He sends out daily messages of his accomplishments, thoughts and plans . They are from his office and they are well articulated and without spelling and grammar mistakes. He doesn’t use it to attack or embarrass anybody.

    RightWriter,

Trump never was and never will be the only president to be attacked on his every word.
Where did you get this idea from ?
Fox news ands the media to the right are 24/7 bashing Biden. We even have some Jewish media who are part of that crowd.

Trump was and will be the only president who responded daily to very single criticism of him.
Trump had multiple tweets sent out daily responding to everybody. He responded to regular american citizens, world leaders ( famous rocket man), civil servants in the FBI and DOJ, and finally former members of his administration who he decided had crossed him.

Many people interpret this behavior as being beneath the dignity of the office.
Others interpret it that he is thin skinned narcissist who is not fitting to be in a position of leadership.

If you don’t like Biden’s policies then give all the money he gave you and the Jewish institutions back in the 1.9 trillion covid relief bill
Don’t drive over the bridges and roads that are going to be repaired and built by his 1 trillion infrastructure bill.
(Maybe I should write “when bridges start crumbling and roads are impassable , can you hear us now?)
Don’t use the internet network that he is upgrading.
Don’t take the vaccines that he has ordered.
Don’t use the billion at home Covid tests that he is sending to Americans.

When you wait 4 hours in line to vote next November (or just give up and not even try) you can thank the Republican’s for making it harder for American’s to vote because they won’t pass Biden’s Voting Right’s legislation.

When working American’s are getting paid more for their work in 2022 than they ever did, you can thank Biden. The unemployment rate fell to just 4.2 percent in November—a 21-month low and jobless claims fell to their lowest levels since 1969 in early December.

    AAQ,

Not sure what your comments about Romney vs Trump have to do with Republicans being a party that has declared that “elections are all stolen unless they win ” and “we need to prevent all americans from easily voting because then they will lose”.

I will agree that the republicans have shown that they will do anything in order to win. This includes a coup and preventing americans from voting.
It also includes the BIG LIE that the election was stolen from Trump.

Romney was a great candidate and is a very decent person.
Romney received 60,933,500 votes, or 47.2% of the total votes cast, winning 24 states and 206 electoral votes.
That is a larger percentage than Trump had. Trump only had 46.8%.

Regarding being abused and laughed it – you are smart enough to know that every politician gets abused and laughed it. That is a baloney reason to go and take the low road.
I am very proud of Biden in that although he is being ridiculed and abused, he has not taken the low road. He is suffering constant jokes about his mental state and his VP Kamala and not being to win every battle in congress etc …

He is charged with seditious conspiracy, along with 10 other Oath Keepers members or associates, officials said.

“Overall feeling of “injustice” is based on the history of multiple unfounded attacks on Trump over his whole term” .

I would word it, “Overall feeling of “injustice” is based on the history of a multitude of unfounded attacks by Trump beginning before his term in 2016, when he would not unequivocally agree to the results , until today when he repeatedly asserts that he didn’t lose in 2020.”

    He is fueling the fire.

He has a team of rich liars starting with Mike Lindell down to lowly poor Giuliani who work for him to throw doubt on the elections. He also has many congressmen and senators in his pocket.

Without trump , the reasonable parts of the Republican party would have a voice in declaring that the elections in all 50 states were legitimate.

Re: “and on “legitimate” changes to the voting process that made it easier for “low affinity” voters to drop their ballot in the mail.”
This is why Biden’s Voting Right’s bill is so important that it might even trump breaking the filibuster rule.

    Regarding the actual riot:

More than 725 people have been arrested for storming the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, with charges ranging from obstruction of an official proceeding to assault. But at the one-year anniversary of the attempted insurrection, a significant number of rioters are still awaiting their sentencing.

Only around one-tenth of those arrested—71 individuals—have received criminal sentences, while the rest are waiting for their trials or haven’t yet reached plea agreements. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, 31 defendants were sentenced to periods of incarceration, with longer prison terms for those who engaged in violence or threats. So far, the median prison sentence for the Jan. 6 rioters is 45 days. An additional 18 rioters have been sentenced to periods of home detention, while most sentences have included fines, community service and probation for low-level offenses like illegally parading or demonstrating in the Capitol, which is a misdemeanor.

    Coffee Addict and Bob Hample1,

The focus is not on the riot but on the unconstitutional coup by the Republican party that attempted to prevent the transfer of power to the new President.

    This is what I wrote.

147 Republicans voted to overturn the election results. That was after the riot.
What if all the Republicans joined ?

    AAQ,

After being silent for a year, Biden gave a speech on January 6th 2022. Here are his some of his remarks.

“Outnumbered and in the face of a brutal attack, the Capitol Police, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, the National Guard, and other brave law enforcement officials saved the rule of law.

Our democracy held. We the people endured. And we the people prevailed.

For the first time in our history, a president had not just lost an election, he tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob breached the Capitol.”

These issues are all off topic – BLM, Inflation, Fillibuster, FBI, whataboutism, …
They have absolutely zero to do with January 6th.

A superior court judge in Maricopa County found the Florida-based company in contempt of court Thursday and ordered the sanctions, according to the Republic.

This is the company that was supposed to show the world how the election was stolen from Trump.

Democrats do not need to defend themselves on this – simply because crime is not exclusive to democratic states.

Just like poverty, domestic violence, drugs, teen pregnancy, lack of higher education, covid19 etc.. are not exclusive to one political party.

Thankfully he had stopped for a few months.

lakewhut picks one example and blows it a million times out of proportion as if that is proof positive that republican states don’t have crime problems.
